A couple of years ago I suffered a back injury from an industrial accident. I took myself to the…read moreER, and what ensued was more than a year of specialists and doctors and hospital visits. My pain branched out to my entire right leg, parts of my left leg, my whole back, my neck, head and arms. In detail I saw a series of 3 orthopedic doctors, 2 neurologists, 2 neurosurgeons, 2 pain management doctors, and had 3 ER visits; all for my back pain. My entire back was imaged via X-ray and MRI. I was scanned from cranium to pelvis. Nothing was reported that even began to explain my problems. Nada. Zip... And so my diagnosis was ever changing between doctors. I was told I had anyhing that seemed to stick: Fibromyalgia, Pain Amplification Syndrome, Myofascial Pain and Disorder, Stretched Nerves, Degenerative Disc Disease, Depression Induced Pain, etc etc etc. With "diagnosis" in hand, I went through an accumulated total of 3 months of physical therapy, prescribed rest, acupuncture, dry needling, regimented stretching, chiropractic treatments, trigger point injections and massage, active release therapy, massage, TENS units, and a litany of medication. Every doctor I saw eventually gave up, stopped returning my calls, or offered me a handful of pills to shut me up. I am young, and I thought I would have to start collecting disability and live on pain meds. My back hurt all over, there was hardly anything I could do anymore. Sitting was painful, driving was unbearable, standing was far worse, and a good night's sleep was a fleeting memory. My leg hurt just like sciatica, starting first in the foot and working its way up. It would go into painful spasms and twitch, sending waves of pain all over my body. I developed neck pain and headaches, pain that radiated down my arms and numbed my fingers, and my heart began to have issues from all of the stress and lack of sleep. My hair was turning grey or falling out. My personal relationships suffered immensely. I couldn't live like that anymore, and seeing as how my other doctors were not helping me, I decided to try Prolotherapy. I was in luck because Dr. Parikh's office was relatively close to me. I visited Dr. Parikh's office in April of 2016 for my first session of Prolotherapy. I had done my research on Prolotherapy, and was already at ease with my decision because of the excellent communication I had with the doctor via Email prior to committing. Before treatment he did a very thorough exam, far more thorough than my initial evaluations with all the other doctors. Also, knowing that the doctor underwent this treatment himself and benefited from it was very reassuring. I am sure none of my other doctors would ever touch the pills or take the kind of injections they prescribed me! It wasn't until after the 4th session that I noticed a change in my pain. When I was once unable to walk around a store to buy groceries, I was buying food for myself, I was out on my land, pulling up 6ft+ plants and working on my truck again, up and down on my knees for short periods. I still didn't have the stamina I needed to keep this up, but this was obvious evidence of an improvement. It was after my 9th treatment that I started to see great strides in my recovery, every week I was improving little by little. By the 11th treatment I was finally able to move on from just prolotherapy to strength training and massage therapy, and I continue to improve through those two modalities. I still have a long road ahead, but thanks to Dr. Parikh and his treatments I feel confident that I will only have a short time left of dealing with my current level of pain - no longer does it feel like it will "last forever". Also, if my pain ever gets bad again, I am going straight back to Dr. Parikh. No other doctor I have been to has ever shown as much consideration for their patients well being as he has. If you hurt and are getting no answers, consider seeing Dr. Parikh.

I am prescribed hydrocodone 5-325. right now that medication is on back…read moreorder everywhere. my prescription should have been filled on Thursday and I started calling them the Monday prior to that time. they said they would call in the 10/325 and I would break them into half and take my medication that way. we'll come Friday they did not call the prescription in so I had to go all weekend without my medication. they don't care about their patients and I think I'm gonna find another doctor!

Not a good place to have one as I was headed to the restroom!! If the pain in my back would go away (never), I would not need to come here! But the pain is chronic so I come here to see Dr. Margolin and his staff to help to take the edge off the pain. Most days the the pain medication works well. The pain is there but not as sharp. On others, no matter what I do, it's almost unbearable. Today's appointment involved getting an injection in my lower back. Sure hope that it helps to relieve some of the pain! On each visit, there is a lengthy amount of paperwork as well as a urine test. I think that's due to the laws that affects the distribution of opioid medications. I'm thankful for the staff and the concern they have for their patients. I've been a patient at Comprehensive Pain for a while. I've learned that if you treat the staff respectfully, you are treated with this same respect. If you should schedule an appointment to see Dr. Margolin, be prepared to spend quite a while at the office! (Hours) Don't plan on doing anything near your appointment! The first visit is vary thorough but he's not a pain doctor that just hands out the medication freely. He examines you to be sure that the medication is truly needed.

Then after signing all the papers, buckle up because you had a 3 to 4 hour wait and there were times my husband was waiting 6 hours. One visit I had to call to see if he was still there, they forgot him and left him in the waiting room for over 3 hours. Don't think about calling the office if you need anything, they never...I mean never answer the phone. You can leave a message, but chances are they will not return the call. Oh and do not get me started with the video that has the doc on there talking about himself and the patients that give testimony to how great he is. That plays over and over while you sit and wait the 3 plus hours. They tried to get my husband to make a video and he refused. They started giving him injections for the pain and got upset when my husband would tell them the injections they gave him made his pain worse and he didn't want them. My husband has had 2 back surgeries with medal hardware, 2 neck surgeries, hip surgery with a steal rod in his leg, and when he was seeing this doc, he was 67. He is in constant pain so if something makes it worse why in the world would you want to insist that a patient take it? Money, the injections are very expensive and they can bill the insurance for more money. Let's talk about why we left. My husband went to an appointment and they told him they no longer took his insurance. Really, we were here last month and you accepted it. I call my insurance company and they said that was not true, but they had questioned the doctors billing and were waiting on a response. That is when I decided to look for another doctor for my husband. When I found another doctor he ask who we were seeing before and why did we leave. When I told him Dr. Margolin, he said enough said. That told me all I needed to know. So my advise, if you are looking for a pain management physician, skip this place.

Hit by a truck while walking across the crosswalk at Meijer on Hamilton Rd back in March of 2025. Was referred to Dr Manocha at his office in Newark shortly thereafter. Took weeks to get in due to poor communication on his staff's part. I was specifically told that I needed to get the imaging done, and then after Dr. Manocha looked at it he would call me to let me know what was going on and to schedule an appointment (this is relevant later). Was sent to get imaging done about 40 minutes away, but couldn't schedule it for over a month because Dr Manocha wouldn't send the correct paperwork and the office I was getting imaging done from had to get directly involved. I went for my imaging And then waited about a week for the doctor to call me, this never happened. I spent the next couple months calling Dr. Manocha and leaving voicemails without ever getting a response until I eventually just gave up. Fast-forward to three weeks ago, I received a text message telling me that I owed his office $75. I called again to dispute this because I was not going to pay $75 for a Doctor who refused to actually be a doctor. I never received a response. Fast forward again to this week where I receive a letter in the mail telling me I still owed $75. I reached out to Dr. Manocha's office again. Except this time, I told them I would be going to the state medical board with a complaint due to all of the poor behavior the doctor displayed. Apparently, the threat of going to the state medical board and filing a complaint was enough to finally get a phone call back in which the young lady at his office could not have been less interested in being helpful or nice. I asked to have the doctor give me a call to go over everything that had happened, the young lady promised that he would but it might not be until Friday the very next day (today) I received a call from the same young lady, but not the doctor. She informed me that this was my fault for not scheduling an appointment after I've had my imaging done. I informed her I was specifically told that the doctor would reach out to me, which he never did as well as the fact that I called over 30 times and left voicemails that were never returned. Her response was "you still should've scheduled an appointment," but failed to explain how I could've possibly scheduled an appointment with this office if nobody ever got back to me every person I have interacted with at this office has been rude and just north of shady. The doctor should not have a license, and the people in his office should not be employed if this is what they consider to be quality care for people in pain

Last year they got pushed a month before I could get them, which I had to schedule 3 months out. This time I tried to follow up knowing they don't do what they are supposed to. It was denied because they didn't put the necessary information in the notes. Called to ask about it when I recieved the denial letter. Was told I would get a call back. Had to send a message through my chart to get a nurse that can answer my questions to respond on my chart. Was told an appeal was being filed. Called my insurance the next week to follow up on the appeal. Turns out they never filed it. Had to message on mychart again to get anyone to respond. Got a call back from the case manager telling me it is out of compliance for filing an appeal and they waited too long to do it. She has to call the insurance to see how to handle it at this point. Tried to follow up on it. The nurse transfered me to billing mid sentence while talking to her. Started to tell the person at billing what was going on and she hung up on me. Needless to say, I'm finding a new office. Also, Dr Anand barely spends 5 minutes in the room with you. When you go to try to ask a question he is already half way out the door.​
