I have the email right in front of me. Two days ago when I called him about the status of my money he said that he couldn't talk to them for me because he didn't have POA for me. WHAT DID I GIVE HIM IN JUNE?!?!?!?! Apparently, my issues or account are of no real concern to him. A direct quote from his website: "Unlike some tax preparers, we are open year round, ready to assist our clients with whatever issues may arise. We strive for a personal touch in our business, offering face to face meetings and consultations. Our goal is to make sure our client understands how income taxes and accounting methods affect their personal and business life." His total lack of interest into my tax issue shows me that he has no real concern as to how my personal life has been affected. I have received no updates, no emails, no phone calls, not one thing from him. I am the one always calling him to check the status. If he really cared he would be finishing the job that I payed him to do.

I went here and my return was prepared by Ginger. Shortly after the return was filed, I had a question about the return and had to go back to have her complete an amended return. After a few weeks, I got a letter from the IRS indicating I owed MORE money. When I called them I learned Ginger was no longer there. I spoke to Michael Chase. He reviewed my documents and insisted everything was in order. I paid, the additional amount owed and then a few weeks later, another letter arrived indicating I owed more still. I contacted Mr Chase again and he suggested I get in contact with the IRS. I decided to consult a CPA who specializes in TAX who contacted the IRS. It turns out the amended return was never filed. Never any follow-up from Mr Chase, never an apology.

He is proactive in filing for an extension should one be needed. We've used him to file in multiple states or just NC/federal and he has done a great job.
