Absolutely loved them and highly recommend them! I wasn't able to leave a review before for the last previous years. So doing two in one. 2018 -I moved to SC and wasn't sure how to do my taxes as my previous state didn't have State income Tax. Natalie was super nice and got me set up. Matt listened and answered all of my questions. My Taxes where done in a breeze! 2019- They helped me out with some complex issues I had that were from a few years back and that I didn't know until last year. Jesse was super helpful and made it very easy for me to understand. 2020- I moved once again and now to Texas. My taxes will once again be a bit hectic not only because of the move, but also because of Covid-19. I will not trust anyone else to do my taxes than Newton CPA. read more

Our experience was okay with Newton. There were a couple items missed that were highlighted in the interview and in the documentation provided. Although it was quickly corrected when pointed out. We felt that we were not really listened to. What we found to be disappointing was when we came in to pay and pick up our documents Jesse sat 10 feet from where we were standing and did not make an effort to say hello or thank us for our business. He was clearly available as he answered the admin assistants question she asked on behalf of us. The client care piece was clearly missing. The admin assistant was lovely to deal with. read more

Me and the hubs needed help with our taxes this year since some things have changed. I called Newton CPA and Natalie answered the phone. She as super friendly and answered all my questions. She made the whole transition easy. I was worried because I called last minute but Natalie said if we bring in our information that week then they can do our taxes by the deadline. I dropped off our information that week and met Natalie in person. She was so nice and sweet!! Matthew did our taxes and emailed us a few things we missed but it wasn't a big deal because we emailed him right back with what they needed. The whole process was a breeze and we will definitely be a returning customer!! read more

We moved down from NY and researched for a new tax accountant. We used NewtonCPA because of all the great reviews. Natalie Palmer, the Office Manager, was extremely friendly, helpful and prompt in all our communications. She always greeted us with her great smile. We met Matthew Mercurio, our tax preparer, and he was amicable and listened to our situation and needs. He is absolutely a true professional. He always responded to our inquiries promptly. Mostly immediately or on the same day. He gave us great advise on tax matters. The big advantage was the results Matt produced. We were extremely happy with our tax return and the time Matt spent with us. We highly recommend this firm and they exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a friendly, courteous and professional tax firm that produces results, you can't beat NewtonCPA! read more

I typically do my own personal taxes but had some complicated issues in 2017. I spoke with Natalie and she made an appointment to review my situation. Natalie was on the phone when I arrived about 15 mins early but Matthew quickly came and introduced himself and greeted me by name. He also was ready to review my file with me and we worked through my tax issues. As we were leaving Natalie also introduced herself and apologized for not being able to greet me upon my arrival which she did not have to do. This is the type of customer service that is rarely seen these days and is a breath of fresh air. I could not be more pleased with my experience at Newton CPA and as you can see the reviews speak for themselves. read more

The kindest and most professional firm you'll ever work with. They answer my questions thoughtfully and promptly, and their attention to detail has saved me (and rewarded me) with thousands of dollars. Well worth the investment and a great firm! We love Matthew as our accountant and Natalie as our organization/paperwork guru is incredible! I couldn't recommend them enough. They certainly have my business for as long as we live in SC/NC. read more

Met with Jesse to review my current tax situation. I have been doing my own taxes for years and thought it was time to have someone sense check things to make sure I was handling it properly. Jesse was very helpful and actually let me know that I was on the right track and that he probably would not be able to help. Could've easily said something different here but I really appreciated his honesty and straightforward response. If I'm in a position again where I would need to rely on a tax accountant I would definitely go back to see him. read more

I have worked with Jesse the past 3 years and have never had a bad experience. He is thorough, responds to emails promptly, and always answers my questions in detail. Matthew and Kayla are also wonderful and a delight to interact with. The office atmosphere is relaxed yet professional. What a terrific group of people! I recently moved from New York City to Atlanta but stayed with my Mom in Fort Mill in the interim. It was tax time and I needed to get an extension filed. I did a lot of research and came across wonderful reviews for Newton CPA. I took my pile of information in and they sorted it, filled out the paperwork and filed my extension. It was such a stressful time for me as I was traveling and looking for a new place to live, and the entire time Kayla always got back to me to let me know how things were going.
