He has a very impressive yet unimposing style, and while he happily took any formal photographs that we wanted, he excelled at "capturing the moment" shots. He took our suggestions and improved upon them and was able to direct us to the shots that he recognized we would want. And during the wedding and reception I barely even noticed he was there yet he got so many great shots. We received the photos within the time he estimated and just loved them. We felt this was the most important vendor to make sure was right for us since depending on your photos, that's the best way you can make those memories and details you put into planning and those wonderful emotions last forever for future generations to see. I have always really had an appreciation for great photography and photographers and I can not tell you how long I have researched during wedding planning to find my favorite photographer in Chicago! It was a hard and overwhelming task because there are a lot of talented ones in Chicago. No one matched her quality for her price, in my opinion, and her artistic eye combined with the gorgeous and striking way she makes black and white photos look and color photos so beautifully vivid made me sure she was the right choice for us! We've received so many compliments on our wedding photos. People have been saying, "You have the BEST wedding photos!!" and so on, and each photo she gave us really is a beautiful work of art. I love her eye for design and color. As an Artist myself, I really can appreciate her extreme and unique talent. We have absolutely no regrets, and felt so lucky that we got to work with Theresa! We'd do it again in a heartbeat. She was also easy to get a hold of, very thoughtful, sweet and very professional. She made everyone, including my young nieces and nephews, feel at ease around her. She was gracefully non intrusive throughout the whole day and night but whenever we needed her she was right there. One more thing I want to add is that she's excellent at taking charge/giving direction to groups and for photo shoots without being too bossy or anything! It was great so we didn't have to feel confused about how to pose or where to take photos. She definitely knows what she's doing!! We felt very taken care of. My only advice would be to splurge and get the Gold Coast package that offers you two photographers and a better photo album. While Nick is an amazing photography, the reality is that two are always better than one, since you know every shot will be captured. Frank was an amazing photographer as well, and we had a great time working with him. The duo even brought an intern along with them so we had three shooters! Don't cheap out on photography--Its the only thing that allows your wedding day to truly last longer than one day.
