Giving 1 star for communication. I have to go out of town for a wedding this weekend and scheduled an appointment today for 12:15. I was sent a message last minute yesterday it would not be possible. In the message they said to call at 10 AM and I could be rescheduled. I called 3 times today and left voice-mail, no one has gotten back to me. I could have scheduled with a different salon with this time and now won't be able to get an appointment in time for my flight tomorrow. Ive been going to Atelier for about 6 months now. I get my haircut every week so clearly, my barber is one of the most important things in my life. I started as a walk-in and thankfully met Ima that day. He's been taking care of my head ever since. I see him weekly for a high fade and beard care. He does a fantastic job on both. His work is 10/10 and the very few times I've asked him to catch this or look at this spot a 2nd time, he's been completely receptive. He's great for conversation when you're feeling chatty and will let you sleep when you've had a long day. Then on top of that if you want to tip the Barber the device they use starts tipping at a whopping 25% which I think is inappropriate to start at. So $50 for a haircut that is worth $10.95. This place is not the place to go if you want a real barbers work. I got a haircut here and it's deceiving they mentioned everyone here is a barber but doesn't seem to be the case. You get more of the feel that it's a stylist haircut vs a barbers. The haircuts are $40. And it seems to be a Supercuts quality haircut. The atmosphere is weird, it feels like 20 degrees inside while its 30 degrees outside! I guess management does care if their customers freezes while getting a haircut. The lighting is also very dark which makes it hard to see if you're getting a good quality haircut. Which seemed to be the case. Maybe they dim the lights to fool you, and cover up this awful haircut you will receive. The only reason I gave this place a chance was because my buddy gets a haircut with the owner. This man charges $70+ for a haircut. Which in my opinion it's quite a joke. His haircut is decent but not worth it for the price he pays. I guess next time I'll just take my business back to the hood barbershops where you actually pay $20 bucks and get a better looking haircut than this. My advice is stay away if you're looking for a quality haircut not worth the hassle of you having to go somewhere else to get it fixed. read more
