DO NOT MOVE HERE!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Atala has been one of the most frustrating rental experiences I've ever had. If I could go back in time, I would never have signed a lease here.
Before signing, the leasing representative clearly explained that my lease included a two month rent concession (2 months of free rent), which was also prominently advertised on Atala's website and marketing materials. I was specifically told that I would pay my prorated first month's rent, then one full month's rent, and that the following two months would be credited to my account. After I moved in, I was suddenly told that the concession was never part of my lease and would not be honored. This was a complete surprise and left me feeling deceived and scammed to say the least. Whether this was due to negligence or a lack of communication, it reflects a serious failure in transparency during the leasing process.
Unfortunately, that was only the beginning and perhaps the most concerning part is that after speaking with other residents and reading additional reviews, I realized my experience is far from isolated. Multiple residents have reported being promised incentives or given information during the leasing process that later changed or was denied before or shortly after move in. When the same concerns continue to surface from multiple tenants, it raises serious questions about the property's leasing practices and overall management.
Communication has been consistently poor. Instead of receiving timely responses or follow up, I repeatedly had to visit the leasing office in person just to get answers to basic questions. Calls often go unanswered or required multiple follow ups before anyone responds.
For a property marketed as a "Brand new luxury apartment community", the number of maintenance issues has been unacceptable. Since moving in, I've experienced:
-A defective shower door.
-Electrical outlets that didn't work.
-Repeated power interruptions that knock out my internet service, making it extremely difficult to work from home.
Last week I came home from vacation and my house smelled like fresh paint and my door was left unlocked. I asked if maintenance had accessed my unit, I have yet to receive a response.
The amenities have been just as disappointing. The fitness center has been closed multiple times for repairs, which is frustrating considering this is a newly constructed community that advertises luxury living.
I sincerely hope corporate management investigates how this property is being operated because the current level of professionalism, communication, and accountability is unacceptable.
Residents deserve honesty, transparency, and follow through, not changing terms after a lease has been signed and people have already moved into their homes.
If I could give this place zero starts, I would and if you're considering leasing at Atala, get every single promise, concession, and incentive in writing before you sign anything. Save emails, take screenshots of advertised promotions, and keep copies of every document. Do not rely on verbal assurances, no matter how confident they sound!
Had I known then what I know now, I would have chosen another community without hesitation. read more
