I had my first massage here a few months back and I was incredibly nervous because I didn't know what to expect, but once I arrived, all the staff were so incredibly nice and welcoming. My masseuse walked me through everything, and gave me an assessment (free assessment before your first appointment), and it was great learning about my body structure. The actual massage was 45 minutes and only $12! ($12 for Fanshawe staff, student and alumnae, $25 for general public) - no tax no tip. The clinic is also very professional, and ask for consent for everything. A few things to recognize: - Massages are given in one big room with hospital curtains creating separate spaces, and around 10 people can get a massage all at once. In other words, you can hear people walk and talk during your massage (not as relaxing compared to a regular massage clinic) - The lights are very bright, and since it's 1 large room, there's no way to dim the lights or turn them off - Their hours of operation are quite short, and sometimes booking can be difficult. Overall, I love the Mend Massage Clinic and I would recommend this clinic to anyone. The staff are very friendly and professional, it's not the most elegant clinic but it'll leave you feeling relaxed and welcomed.

I started massage therapy the same time. Jacob has been wonderful in getting me back to better health. I have bone cancer and I had a broken hip too, so the massage has helped getting my leg and hip more mobility. He is gentle but firm enough pressure. I am getting better flexibility in my leg going from a 45 to 90 percent bend in my knee. I would highly recommend Jacob to anyone who has an issue. They provide a consultation with you so you can tell them your issues and they will be able to explain what they can do for you. They offer 1/2 hour to one hour massages. I can't say enough good things about Lisa Kervin & associates. From a sore back or leg to sciatic nerve issues to any issue you have they will advise you if they can help. They are registered massage therapists so if you have a medical plan they usually want a registered therapist used. Relax and enjoy your massage, you will be in good hands!

I didn't think a chiropractor could help. I had difficulty doing the basics like dressing, turning over in bed, stairs, etc. He listened to me, asked pertinent questions and then tried to alleviate my pain which he did. After weeks of excruciating pain, it only took 3 sessions of chiropractic adjustments and laser therapy (to help reduce inflammation) before I was moving normally again. The antibiotics helped but I also needed adjustments since my body had been under such stress. I have lived in many cities so have had many chiropractors but I am impressed by Dr J's more updated and gentle techniques for adjustment. He is proof that the Palmer Institute is moving with the times and is still training the absolute best chiropractors.
