We were very impressed with our experience! The staff acted in a very caring, pleasant and compassionate manner throughout the duration of our visit! We wanted to address a few heath concerns we had about our kitten. He has an issue with one of his eyes, not life threatening, but it does cause him to not be able to open the particular eye all the way. We assume that he was born this way... anyways Dr. Emily recommended a laser procedure that she felt could help our little kitty out. The best part is, is that the St. Charles animal shelter is going to pay for the surgery!! Hopefully it will help little Lucas to open his eye up a little more! :-) Dr. Emily quickly diagnosed a minor ear infection and sent us home with the right antibiotics to clear it up within a couple of weeks. We also had a feline leukemia/FIV test done (also paid for by the St. Charles animal shelter!!!) which came back negative!! :-) Evelyn and Sequoya very kindly and patiently took the time to show me the proper way to give Lucas his medication and they also showed me how to clip his nails! I was clipping them on my own with confidence before I even left Tender Care Animal Hospital! Amanda and Karen were attending the front desk when we arrived and when we departed. They greeted us very kindly and warmly when we got there and were pleasant to interact with throughout our visit! After having such a great experience here today, I know that this is absolutely the place that I will be heading to for all of my veterinary needs and I will also recommend Tender Care to all of my family and friends in the area. Thank you Tender Care taking such good care of our kitten! (and us!!)

I wouldn't be surprised they were up charging the vaccinations themselves. Take your dog elsewhere.

My muted calico, Abby, named after Dr. Abigail Whiting, who quite literally saved her life more than seven years ago after she ate something that resulted in a dangerous obstruction, is here again today. I'm in during pre-dawn hours for recurring constipation that we just can't seem to completely get reined in. Dr. Symphony Nguy is taking care of my fuzzy little baby right now. She is incredibly passionate and patient, with a totally soothing voice and mannerisms. She's convinced Abby's issues are able to be resolved with a comprehensive, multi-pronged treatment plan! She offered several recommendations, spoke with me briefly about nutrition and offered immediate relief and hope for many more healthy, happy years with my feline companion. As well, this past weekend, we needed to bring in mom's 19-year-old "Good Kitty" to be euthanized. She told us she was ready to go to Kitty Heaven and in the moment, our regular vet was unavailable. It was all a bit of a blur, but suffice it to say, the staff was understanding and kind throughout. I highly recommend VSS and their team, especially Salem.

He was great to talk to and gave me the information I needed before we came. We were shown into a room right away. He had vestibular disease (vertigo). She didn't rush us and answered all of our questions. He was treated and sent home with meds. The entire office and rooms were very clean and taken care of. Everyone we came in contact with was very kind. Thank you for helping our little guy.

Once in the examine, the Vet assistant asked what the reason for the visit was. I explained that we were recommended by a friend to try Animal Talk and Dr. Lucas. I mentioned that we needed the yearly shots for our dog. She asked if we had her previous medical records, and I said I have them at home and can go get them. She said she could call our previous Vet and have them faxed over. This saved me a trip back home to get the records. She went over the recommended and required shots needed and said Dr. Lucas would administer those shots. It was about 15 minutes before Dr. Lucas came in the exam room and immediately apologized for the wait. He went on to explain that sometimes different procedures took longer than expected. I told him it wasn't a problem and showed me that he took his time and didn't rush through each animal. He explained the different procedures he was about to perform and proceed to give the necessary shots. He explained different aspects of my dog and what to look out for and what to expect. I was there about an hour, from start to finish. Overall, very pleased with my first visit. I like the idea of the time he spent with my dog. I compare the time it took to going to McDonalds or going to a steak house. You will both be fed at both, but I would feel more satisfied with the steak house when I got done. Finally, the bill for all the shots and office visit was half of what I have previously paid for the same services.
