I am filing a formal complaint regarding my experience at the Victra Verizon Authorized Retailer…read morelocated at 4151 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD. I arrived at this location after being directed there specifically to return Verizon FiOS equipment. I brought the equipment, the Verizon return email, and the serial number information. My intention was simple: return the equipment and obtain a receipt documenting the return. The employee I initially spoke with was dismissive of the return instructions I had received from Verizon and repeatedly told me that certain equipment did not need to be returned, despite the written instructions I was holding in my hand. When I requested a receipt, I was informed one would not be provided. At that point, an employee identified as JP became involved. Rather than helping resolve the issue, his demeanor struck me as confrontational, dismissive, and unnecessarily aggressive. What should have been a straightforward customer service interaction quickly became an adversarial exchange. The most concerning part of this experience is that I was attempting to comply with Verizon's instructions, yet I was treated as though I was creating a problem simply by asking the store to accept the equipment and provide documentation of the return. When I explained that I had driven to the location specifically for this purpose and did not intend to leave with equipment Verizon had instructed me to return, I was told I could still be charged and was ultimately directed to leave the store. I then spent approximately twenty minutes in the parking lot speaking with Verizon customer service before being connected with a supervisor. After the supervisor explained the return process, I returned to the store with the supervisor on speakerphone. What I found interesting was the complete change in tone. The hostility, confrontation, and urgency that had been present moments earlier disappeared. Nobody asked me to leave. Nobody challenged me. Nobody spoke to me in the manner they had before. Instead, the conversation became calm and professional. Ultimately, the store chose to hand the equipment back to me rather than process the return or provide a receipt. This raises a question that I believe Victra management should answer: If the interaction could be handled professionally while a Verizon supervisor was listening on speakerphone, why was it not handled professionally from the beginning? I understand that many customers appear to have positive experiences at this location and with JP. I am not disputing those experiences. I am simply documenting mine. My experience was that I was treated dismissively, spoken to in a confrontational manner, denied documentation for a return, told I could still be charged, directed to leave the store, and forced into an unnecessary escalation over what should have been a routine equipment return. I am requesting that Victra review this incident, speak with the employees involved, review any available documentation, and explain why a customer attempting to follow company instructions was treated in this manner. No customer should have to make multiple calls, involve supervisors, and be directed out of a store simply to return equipment they were instructed to return.

JP asked if he could be of service and I will be forever thankful. He was so very informative. Was the expert of this business. He was extremely knowledgeable and handled my transferring two lines over to Verizon and buying two new phones. Made my experience with this kind of transaction the best I have ever had in over 35 years of owning a cellphone. I would or could not give a negative remark about my experience. Big thank you to JP.

Fast forward 30 min, and we arrived only to be told to wait "another 10 min for the safe to open." Fine, we go next door to eat, then come back. The same guy who who was being helped is still needing help. It's insane how much the sales rep talks. Just do what you need to do and slim down on the chitterchatter, especially when 7 people are waiting and you are the only person working in the store. Get people in and out, brobro. Nothing is "just 20 minutes" with you. We waited almost 2 hours to even be called up to get our phone after being 2nd in line for the whole 2 hours. Like you couldn't have started our transfer while talking to him? I don't get it. You checked out the 2 customers that were buying random shit but didn't start our phone transfer? This is almost as bad as Comcast. The only difference is that you can skip the automated voice on the comcast customer support line, and you can't skip our sales reps voice. Both will still waste 2 hours of your time getting 1 simple task done, helping other people in line behind you, and having annoying music playing in the background while you are waiting. Go to ANY other store unless you have time to fucking kill or want to hear about sports betting from the sales rep during the NCAA tournament weeks. Jake n kev

My family and I have purchased cell phones at this store twice and at the Earleigh Heights store,…read moreand it was great at first. It's certainly gone down hill. Now, just go to the corporate store in Marley Station mall. The first few experiences were fine. The consultants were knowledgeable, and seemed eager to help you find the phone you wanted. The prices were on par with the corporate stores, and had the same selection of phones. This last year, however, it seems to really have changed. The associates seemed to only care about selling packages or plus-up items. The consultants kept pushing us towards phones that we didn't actually want -- the Motorola Droid had just dropped, and while I walked in knowing that I wanted the (on sale) BlackBerry Tour, I had to continuously tell the rep that I wasn't interested in. Package wise, they have their own services that they sell and get commission on. Make sure you notice that the insurance they sell you is NOT the Verizon insurance. That little oversight has cost me a lot of time. The last straw for me, though, was when my 78 year old grandmother went into the store to try to get help with her prepaid phone. She thought that her phone was broken because she couldn't hear a dial tone. Instead of helping to troubleshoot the phone, the representative sold her a new phone on a 2 year, $40 a month contract with plus ups. I'm sure he enjoyed getting his commission on all the goodies he sold, but they've lost my business for good. Not cool guys. Not cool. Going to the corporate stores from now on. No more Executive Wireless for me.
