I was shopping for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. The ladies in here went above and beyond... helping me find specific hallmark products I had already seen online, including a special gold pop-up card. They also helped me order something online and have it shipped to the store for free shipping. After choosing a decorative plate, one of the ladies took it out so I could examine it fully. I just can't say enough about how helpful and friendly they were. Very knowledgeable and full of ideas.

This location…read moreserves the purpose of two seasonal stores throughout the livelong year, one, a firecracker shop 'round the 4th of July, and here now, a Halloween costume and decor shop as I am reviewing it now at this moment. I like this store and visit it during this time moreso than when they are selling sparklers in the heat of the summer. Lots of neat things here, great displays, creepy crawlies and other things to give you the grossout or heebie jeebies that you might require of yourself, guests or co-workers. As Hallow's Eve approaches, the busier this place becomes, so be aware. Be very aware. Something wicked this way comes. And it's usually my credit card bill after financially overextending myself at this place. They do accept credit cards by the way. They are open 10am-8pm Monday-Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sundays. Huge, horrifying selection to peruse while flashing back about it being an old Blockbuster! They open at 10am daily! I bought the Mr. Oktoberfest costume from the location on E. 70th. When I got home to try it on I…read morerealized the button holes, which kept the costume on, were sewn to the point that the button could not pass through at all. I went to exchange it however they have an all sales final policy. I mentioned that the "all sales final" is not the same as "as is" and it is only valid when the product is functional. It is a breach of warranty to sale non-functional products and refuse exchange or return under "all sales final". The manager was very empathetic and engaging but told me she has absolutely no authority to return or exchange. She then referred me to corporate which has yet to respond to my request for customer support. *Note that after I tried to return the costume I then checked another of the costumes to see if it had the same issue and the button holes were completely sewn shut. If you are going to shop here be sure to check everything on the item you plan on purchasing.
