    I was a loyal customer for over 40 years--but the last three have been a steady collapse in…read moreservice. Getting a technician is nearly impossible. When you do reach support, you're told everything is "working fine," while every device in your home cannot get connected. Seems like all my devices fail to connect to their equipment at the same exact time. After exhausting every fix on my end, I finally gave up and switched to fiber. I canceled my service on February 20th then returned all equipment on March 9th. The representative in Abilene where I returned the equipment assured me my account was fully settled. Then April rolls around, and suddenly I'm being charged for another month--plus a late fee. To make matters worse, I drove to the Optimum store in Lubbock to resolve it, only to be told they don't even handle cancellations. So customers are left chasing answers between departments that won't take responsibility. After four decades of loyalty, this is how it ends: poor service, billing errors, and zero accountability. I shared my experience locally and found I'm far from alone--many others in my town of 11,000 are dealing with the same issues. There is no way in Hell I would ever recommend Optimum. If you're considering them, think twice. If I could rate this lower I would.

The previous two times I have been there I have been…read morethoroughly disappointed. 2 years ago I pre-ordered an iPhone 4S, the representative was not engaging, and the pre-order took 1.5 months to ship while people were able to walk in and purchase without a pre-order on release day. Today I walk in hoping to renew and asked the lady checking people in if there was any chance they had the new iPhone 5S. Her response was very rude. No "sorry we don't have any in stock" or even "sorry no". She gave me no indication as to when they would be receiving more. She said one word to me "no" in a tone as if I was an idiot for even asking. As if my previous experience with purchasing an iPhone wouldn't have convinced me not to preorder. I usually do anything I can to support storefronts, preferring to give my business to a store whenever possible. I will be conducting my cellphone business online from now on.

I couldn't even get a smile or eye contact. Then, she stands at the front door watching videos on her phone while four of us wonder around and wait for 15 minutes as only one guy helps one customer. I asked if there was anyone else available and she said no, she has to take names and can't help anyone. That makes absolutely no sense to me, so I left and drove to the Milwaukee location where two people are happily helping two customers and let me know when I walk in that I'm behind one other person and one of them will be with me as soon as they can. Such a different experience already!
