I have lots of Pandora so I figured I see if they had anything related to Alaska. The man who I believe was the owner, helped us. I picked out two charms that we purchased. He mentioned how beautiful my diamond ring was and said that two of the diamonds were old because they don't cut them that way anymore. I confirmed that two of the diamonds were my mothers so they were older than the the other ones. I was very impressed that he could tell that just from looking at it on my hand. He's the real deal. They also cleaned my ring, which I appreciated. Great and friendly service!

The only one we could find was hot pink, and my dad reluctantly said yes to it. Since we had some time to explore, we thought we could try to find some black electrical tape to wrap around the cane to conceal the pink. Naturally, we were referred to this hardware store. When we explained our situation, the staff's reaction was the best. They broke out in a boisterous laughter and immediately said that they might have the perfect solution in their back room. I thought they were going to sell us some overpriced electrical tape since they were the only hardware store in a tourist town, but what the gentleman came back with would be worth much more. He had a super durable black mesh pipe cover that would fit like a glove over our cane! We were ready to pay a pretty penny for this highly specialized product, but to our surprise, they were so nice and told us that it was their gift to us. No way! This just doesn't happen these days when everyone is looking to make a quick buck. They even threw in a roll of professional grade electrical tape to keep the ends of the mesh from fraying. They wouldn't take our money, but in the end, they reluctantly let us leave them a few dollars. We all had a good laugh and the staff even said that they might change their business model to "hardware AND cane repair. " lol Sad that we probably won't be back in Ketchikan, but I highly recommend them to anyone who has a special project. These guys are creative and can help you find a unique solution! No project is too great for them!

While walking around and exploring, we stumbled upon this hidden gem. We had always wanted to get a real animal hide and had looked everywhere, so we were excited to find this place. We ended up getting a beautiful reindeer hide! The cashier/owner also told us they have stores in Utah and Wyoming and offer shipping, which is great if you don't want to carry your purchase around. Since we still wanted to continue our little discovery walk around Ketchikan, we asked her to hold the hide for us. We came back and picked it up when we were ready to head back to the cruise ship. Super convenient and such a unique find from our Alaska trip!
