I had no idea that that was an issue so I didn't mention it when I dropped my phone off. Not only that, when I did drop my phone off, they didn't even ask for my name OR a number to reach me at. I found this to be REALLY sketchy. I told them my name anyway and they put a small sticker on my phone with my last name on it. They told me it'd cost $75, that was considerably cheaper than the first time I got the screen replaced so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They told me to come back for my phone in an hour. I went shopping for an hour and half and came back. When I came back, they told me they couldn't fix the screen because it was already fixed before. Since it was apparently replaced with a screen that isn't authentic (which I was not aware of, it says "Samsung" on it....), they told me that it would cost $129 because they would need to replace the LCD screen as well. They guaranteed that they would crack the screen if they pulled the replaced screen off. I'm going to assume that replacing the LCD screen is some sort of liability... Which is funny since not getting any of my information sounds like that could have been a liability, could it not? I decided to look for more estimates because that is ridiculous. Especially since they didn't get a number to contact me on. My screen is also a lot looser than it was before I brought it in. I was considering not fixing the screen and just living with the crack but now it's mandatory that I get the screen replaced. I found another store that estimated me at the same price, if I can't find anything better (though I may be able to get it replaced for $89 at a location farther away, feel free to ask me about it), I will be taking my business there. I am visiting from Los Angeles and back home, they always ask for some contact information to let you know that they are done fixing your phone. The cell phone repair store I normally go to even checks in while he's repairing.

And we were given it. However, we were told that they would pay up to $500 to pay off devices. I was thrilled. We just bought Deb's phone and owed some on it. Well, her number ported over just fine. However, mine would not port for some reason. After over 2 hours of waiting, I just threw in the towel, bought a new phone (that I didn't need) and got a new number. Guess what? This invalidated the payoff money. So, by trying to be nice and save frustration for their people, I lost the $500. I have spoken with various levels of management. They all say the same thing. He got me to purchase a different phone than what I wanted at $700 and told me I couldn't get the trade in deal which would have gotten me the phone I actually wanted at $200. On top of that he told me that he was getting me a deal on the phone I chose and they were running a promotion on it and I would get a couple hundred off.... well I guess that was a lie too.
