I went to Monterey park store on Atlantic & Cesar Chavez to pay a bill waited 15 minutes no acknowledgement from employees there was three yes they were with customers. Didn't want service just pay bill on kiosk hasn't work for about 7mths just close the store. Then I went to Whittier & clela as soon as I walked in good afternoon could we help you with something. I paid off 5 phones and thought my bill would drop. Wrong. It was more expensive. Changed to a different company and my paid phones were not unlocked. It took 15 minutes for me to actually reach customer service. The AI system kept hanging up before it resolved my issue. When I did get a person, the call center was so loud I couldn't hear them, and the manager told me he really didn't want to talk to me because I wasn't even a customer anymore. Lines evidently run through my yard and they need access to my back yard. I told him I had dogs and they were runners. They have no regard for traffic and come home ONLY when they want to. I watched them drive away and allowed the dogs out. Later I noticed they were back and checked the gate which was wide open. Fortunately the dogs were inside at the time. When I went to talk to the tech to make sure they keep the gate shut, ALL I GOT WAS 'NO SPEAK ENGLISH'! I can understand this being the case from a tourist, but an AT&T employee or someone associated with AT&T needs to speak ENGLISH. Customer service is an automated service that CAN'T help a customer most of the time, and when you finally get a live customer service rep., they pass you around like an offering plate until you get pissed off and snap on them then they hang up on the customer! The pricing system AT&T uses is to keep milking the customer for things they weren't asked if they wanted. We bought new phones from AT&T about 3 years ago. When our purchasing these phones for the iPhones we bought a screen protectors for $60 for a "lifetime" replacement. I enter the store today and the man tells me that they have outsourced this process to zagg.com. I sign on to that site and they want ANOTHER $60 to replace this screen. read more

ATT is the worst! Because my internet speed is VERY slow, I called ATT to increase it. I was told I must purchase ATT AIR to replace my u-verse. The order was placed on 5-27-25 and equipment would arrive via UPS in 2-5 days. 6 days later (on 6-2-25) - NO EQUIPMENT. 6-3-25 NO EQUIPMENT. On 6-4-25, still NO EQUIPMENT. Tracking via UPS shows that equipment was delivered to wrong address.   6-4-25 I called and was told they must cancel the original order, but she can not input a new order because it's "too soon."  She says I need to "give it some time" and place the order myself. This phone call with ATT took 1 hour 14 min. I called back on 6-4-25 to reorder and am now told that I need to wait 30 DAYS to reorder equipment. BUT... the agent said he can send my call to another customer service agent to get equipment ordered today. And now I've been on hold for over an hour. WTF??? read more

I was with MetroPCS for years. AT&T salespeople knocked on my door. promised all sorts of things and it was all a lie. I'm paying more for service now. They didn't tell me I needed my last bill from MetroPCS to get the two Visa gift cards they promised. Customer Service told me weeks after I didn't receive the cards. My mother wanted a new phone and saw and ad for a Samsung Galaxy Flip Z, FREE with qualifying trade in. I called August 16th 2022, was told my trade-ins qualified...received a phone that was broke on arrival and no boxes or labels to return. Called in September and October, spend over 20 hours cumulative with AT&T customer service, got cussed at by Tech support, wound up culminating in getting credits applied and assured mailing labels and boxes would arrive with my replacement phone imminently. Most all of November passed before I called. Was told that no record of the calls in October existed. Called back in December and finally reached an American who sent a replacement phone and boxes/shipping labels...but the warranty replacement was the wrong phone. I called back...and was told that it had been too long and I had to pay full price for my phones. I said I just got the boxes in December and didn't even have the correct phone yet. My mother, who is older and has cognitive issues called and they told her that it was MY fault for not returning the devices!! So I left AT&T, went to Spectrum and they gave me and AMAZING deal and with the FCC credits they told me about, I actually won't even have a phone bill for a year, so in the end that worked out okay. But they don't have the clear instruction, when I called them, it took 40 minutes to get the representative, at that time my agent left. So we still can't set up! iPhone 13 is not receiving verification code text messages. Tried all suggestions found online. Nothing has fixed the problem. No longer able to get tech support for problems in the AT&T store. Called 611. AT&T has outsourced tech support to Assurion. Rep was pleasant enough but it became obvious she was more interested in selling me an umbrella protection plan for our home electronic devices (flat screen, ipads, etc) and helping with my tech problem was secondary to the questions she sprinkled in here and there about other electronic devices we commonly use. The rep eventually sent a test code message, which arrived on my phone. I was hopeful. I declined purchasing the protection plan. She tried a couple more sales pitches and when it became obvious I wasn't buying, she was done, done, done and tone changed with an urgency to end the call. Well, the phone is NOT receiving verification code messages. I have to admit, there's a skeptical place in my brain that wonders if she un-fixed it because I didn't purchase the protection plan. A friend recommended T-Mobile. Will likely look into that. AT&T customer support is entirely, entirely disappointing and it's simply a front for Assurion product sales. read more

This company is a s*!+ show. I had Verizon for over 20 years and they easily helped with the rare issues I had. I've unfortunately had att for a year maybe and I have no idea what's happening to my phone. God forbid you need the help of a human good luck with that. You need to sign in just to get help or you can forget it. I dont know the billing zip code because it's a family plan I dont pay the bill my sister set up this horrible service and she lives in another state . My mother lives in another city and my sister and I both recently moved. I have no idea what zip code is used the old 1 my mom's or 1 in a state I've never been to. I tried the 3 I know and nothing. My wifi and Bluetooth haven't turned on in 2 months and all these active Armour and diagnostic tests do nothing but give idiotic tips that say turn your wifi on. That's the issue is I can't. This is unreal. I hate this company. Why is it so hard to get help? Verizon may be expensive but it's worth it for how helpful they are. I'd rather go back to Airtouch at this point. It's so ridiculous that att should pay your bill for a year at whatever company you leave them for. Payphone in jail have to give better service. Left feeling robbed by at&t. I went from Verizon to at&t on April 20 2024 I bought 2 s24+ phones. Paid $185.00 then to start the plan but after reading all the negative reviews they had I decided I don't want to do business with a company that don't care what their customers think. So called at&t on may 5th to cancel the plan. (This was not an easy process c/s needs more training) so I talked to a Sasha overseas somewhere in the Congo she stated. I told her I wanted to cancel this promotion before the 15 Days. She gave me a confirmation foe the cancelation. I was returned $92.50 + $92.50= $185. And I was thinking it was over but nah this is where the nightmare begins they withdrew $175.92 on 6/9 then again another $102.26 on 7/2. I'm thinking these charges where for some pending amount that was left unpaid. But something told me this is not right. So I called and I was told that I needed to walk in to a retail store and show ID because of some fraud that was going on. I was not just upset at this point I felt disrespected. Why would I call to get some one elses money put back into the bank account that they withdrew out of? doesn't make sense. So I went to a retail store showed my ID and explained my situation to the c/s rep. He called not just one number but 2 of them. Second one was the rst dept he asked the person on the other end why was I being charged after the lines where disconnected and a refund was returned back to me. Don't know what reason the rst rep gave him but this guy hangs up with him. And comes back to me and tells me sir your 7143361613 line was not disconnected and that's where those charges come from also you have one more last charge coming on 8/8 for a couple more dollars. (This is the couple of dollars $85.00). I was left scratching my head like this is not right 1st why did I get a confirmation# for the cancelation 2nd why was I returned the original $185.00($92.50 + $92.50) to enroll. 3rd why is it my fault that the line was really not disconnected as the girl out in the Congo stated to me. I asked if I can get that money back and to make sure this line is disconnected and make sure I don't get charge in August. He comes back to me and says I was able to disconnect the line but I was not able to get you a refund for the charges that where charged after the lines were supposed to be disconnected. ($175.92 and $102.26)? He said he couldn't get that for me. And to top it off, you have a last charge for a remaining balance. Huh wtf. c/s dept 1 rst dpt 0 at&t website 0 star. Made me regret leaving Verizon after 20 years being with them. Watch out for businesses that are only after your money. And can care less about the customers. I was penalized for their mistake. AT&T ran fiber optic cable through my yard. Not a problem until they cut my sprinker system pipe, severed the water line, dug up the street in front of my house. The city stopped the flood, repaired the water main . Next, after promising to sod the yard, they placed a large rectangular box right in my front yard. I have showed them their easement, which they are over and asked them to move this box to the side yard. They made an appointment to visit with me in person but did not show. Thus far they have lied about the replacement of grass in my yard and that they will come to see me about moving the box. I have called the number posted at the entrance to my subdivision but, surprise, it is no longer in service. I have called other numbers but can find no human being to talk to. I suspect that my property means nothing to AT&T and that they believe a senior citizen will not be able to negotiate the maize of their communication system. read more

If there were negative stars, i would grant them. If I could shoot fire out of my hind quarters, I'd burn them. If my hate were a food, I'd be their McDonalds. The most horrible, absolutely indescribably worst customer service I have ever dealt with.......EVER! I would tell you all the details of the story, but I don't want to. It would be like me jabbing my own genitals over and over again. I don't want to do that. Needless to say, AT&T has my money, and I want it back....pronto. I don't want to be endlessly transferred back and forth, for 4 hours on one occasion and almost another hour on another occasion.....back and forth, from somewhere in India to the States, back to India, back to the States, back to India, back to the States, only to have the call get disconnected. And, by the way, this is no knock on India, but the concept of off-shoring customer service to some company 10,000 miles away (or so), whether it be in India, the Philippines, wherever, well.....frankly it sucks. Unless they are absolutely 100% professional, it's a recipe for lost customers. Word to the wise AT&T. Even the Bank of America representative that was on the line with me gave up in exhaustion.
