I got my phone on Wednesday, and hurried back to the store to get it set up. Piece of cake and it only took a half hour to get two phones working. What a great experience. I walked out of there with my shoulders down and quite relaxed. What a difference. Go to Sam's Club and get treated like a VIP.

I am getting a 2gig plan with a static IP address for like 100 dollars its crazy amount of internet speed and they were willing to set up the static ip for an extra 10 bucks a month. There is a promise of Soon to come fiber optic cable but the reality is the same twisted copper line used in the 1940"s. The nice lady at the call center has no information whatsoever other than the sale pitch.That is after 10 minutes on hold. TDS technicians actually believe this is good service. They may have been "cutting-edge" 14 years…read moreago, but no more. Currently, downloading a 1.8 gig movie - for the last 6 hours. It is speeding along at 12.3 KB/second and has failed 3 times. Dial-up may be faster!!! A 20 minute drive into Bangor and the same movie downloads in less than 30 minutes. But since TDS "owns" Hampden - you can't get any other service. The only option is cable - 200 yards to the left of the driveway and a quarter mile to the right - no cable in between. Trying to find a class-action suit for false advertising and/or restraint of trade. There has got to be a way of forcing TDS to make good on their promises or allow competition. If you are in Hampden, steer clear of TDS - go cable or even Satellite (which isn't much better).
