I was a little concerned that the soup - potato and herb - might have been a little bland, but it wasn't. My partner had the BLT; again a generous portion, though the salad dressing was a bit salty which, together with the bacon, was saltier than he would have liked. But otherwise all good. We tried the Nanaimo slice afterwards; a nutty base with set custard and a chocolate topping, which was very nice (and, surprisingly not too sweet). There's street parking outside.

The interior can get packed in the fall and winter, but we've always managed to get a table or, if we're really lucky, a booth at the front. (Note: we've had best luck when going in early). I swear by the chai lattes here. They are delicious. My friend is gluten-intolerant, so she often gets one of their gluten-free pastries. At our last visit, we shared a Rice Krispie "square" and, I swear, it was the best, gooiest Rice Krispie "square" I've ever had in my life. (Note to self: bring alcohol wipes for your hands if you plan on getting this, as it is delicious but super sticky! Totally worth it, I might add!).
