I lost one of the bolts that holds on my ski tower. I went thru the manufacture and they couldn't help me with the parts I needed. They said they where no longer available and that I would have to get them else where from a machine shop or simply put a newer tower that was going to cost me $3,000. I actually set up a installation appointment with Skylon to replace my ski tower. I ended up canceling since they never called me to take my boat in. I didn't give up, I went to 2 other shops and they couldn't make me the pieces I needed. I finally went to Herrras and I talk to the owner(forgot his name). He looked at the pieces and told me he can make them for me. What was even better he said they'll be ready the next day. I was blown away. I left him a deposit for $50 and returned back the next few days and parts where all done. The washers and bolt was made identical as the one I brought in. I couldn't believe it. I saved my self $2800 and some body work on my boat. I would highly recommend Hereras to anyone who is looking for Custome stainless steel parts, some motor boring work or any custom stuff that's needed.

Finally went in, talked to Frank, ordered me a Luk clutch (German) got it 1hr later. Need parts for my Datsun 620, call up other places "we don't have it" call up Frank "I can get it for you in an hour" if you talk to Frank, you're 100, talk to the younger guy (Guero) you're golden.. talk to the older guy with glasses (sorry señor look online) any who. That's my point of view with this place. It's great, old school, and can have you're stuff at a pretty reasonable time. They turn drums, rotors, etc. Need machine work... I think they have that too. (Yet to use that service) That's my honest review. I don't like doing reviews or talking bad about people but this place deserves its credit. Treat others the way you want to be treated as a consumer and a retailer, the customer is always right is not the way people need to think. We're all human and all are entitled to make mistakes.

The Woman that answered didn't even sound like she wanted to help me out in the first place. She proceeded to put me on hold and 1min later they hung up. I always like supporting small business shops but when they don't give good customer support, why should I support them?

I specifically wanted all the rotating components balanced together for a smooth engine in the effort to build a reliable performance engine. I got that and far better than I expected. They built a 363 stroker with a Dart 4-1/8* bore block, all forged parts and top of the line valve and head components. They dyno tested and tuned the engine on the stand and in the car. Results were 540 HP/484 ft lbs. of torque. Impressive! I have tracked the car at Big Willow multiple times and put more than 10,000 miles on the car since the build. It has been trouble free and still is performing at the top level. The service, quality and advice from Toby and his organization has been excellent and gets a five star rating from me. Past dealings with CHP in Torrance, (previous ownership), was not good, BUT, the new ownership worked well with me with honor and integrity. I believed them and they did better than what they said.

I thought they would scoff at my request and send me off. However, that wasn't the case at all. I just wanted some holes drilled into my aluminum ice scoop to let water pour out as I scoop. The machinist who helped (I think he was the owner) was very professional and asked me about how I wanted the design of the holes to be. There was no waiting-he just did it right there on the spot. Took his time to really measure up where he wanted to drill the holes on the press and also took time polishing each hole. The attention to detail was impressive. Thank you so much! I'll be bringing more ice scoops in the future!!

Fast forward to this instance where I have a batch of rotors that I needed to be turned down 1mm each side. Call him, describe what I'm needing and ask if he has a rough estimate on price. He asks me to text pictures, I jot down his number and then send him pictures shortly after. Gave him an hr or so and called him back to see if he received the pictures. Doesnt reallt acknowledge it and is pushy to have me bring them in and that he can do it. I'm about 25ish mins away, but he insists that he'll be late at the shop and that it's no problem. I bring in 1 rotor to see if he can still give me an estimate and he suggests he can help me bring in the rest of the rotors, about 10 in total. As we're bringing them in, I ask him again how much he's thinking it's going to be and he mentions $50 each. At this point, it's beyond the threshold in which the supplier was going to reimburse me for so I ask if I can just machine 2 rotors for now and figure out what can be done with the supplier. The next week rolls around and days go where I dont hear anything. I text him and no response for a day or 2. I call later the following week and he gives me a response like the rotors have been done and that he's been waiting on me. I ask him texting is the best method of communication since he originally asked me to text and he said text is good. I ask him if he's been receiving my texts in which he responds with affirmation. I go to pick up the rotors and come to find out that he only did a single rotor in which I ask when the other side would be done and he says in about 1-2 business days. I say that's fine and then mention that I'll leave that single rotor behind and grab the rest. He then mentions that if I in doing just 2 rotors, that the price would be $100 each. At this point, I'm no longer feeling like this is about money and get the impression that he's just a shady crook now trying to take advantage of people. I'm a little shocked at the pricing at this point and ended up just taking all the rotors back and paid him his $100 to machine a single rotor. Ended up having another shop do the for $20 each
