Gus Gomez and Calgrove Rentals Saved the Day!…read more I rarely write reviews like this, but Gus Gomez at Calgrove Rentals absolutely earned every one of these five stars today. We were working on a major project in Beverly Hills and suddenly found ourselves in desperate need of a mid-sized mini excavator. I had already called 8 or 9 different equipment rental companies around Los Angeles with no luck. We had a 200-ton crane standing by, a full ground crew on site, and approximately $5,000 worth of Beverly Hills road closure and traffic control in place for the day. If we couldn't get that excavator, the entire job was in jeopardy and we were looking at potentially losing more than $25,000 between equipment, crews, permits, traffic control and lost production. Then I called Gus Gomez at Calgrove Rentals. Gus immediately understood how serious the situation was. On an extremely busy Monday, he dropped what he was doing, went to work for us, and somehow managed to get the machine we needed delivered to our Beverly Hills job site in LESS THAN TWO HOURS! That kind of customer service is almost impossible to find anymore. Gus didn't just rent us a piece of equipment--he saved our entire job and saved a lot of hardworking people from losing a day's pay. After nearly 30 years working with contractors, cranes, heavy equipment and specialty projects, I know exceptional service when I see it. Gus Gomez and Calgrove Rentals have earned my business and my highest recommendation. If you need equipment in the Los Angeles area, CALL GUS FIRST. Thank you again, Gus. You really came through for us when we needed it most. Captain Roy CRT TREES

Looking around their inventory gave the same feeling of walking into a candy store as a child, they have/had everything I needed. Another point, their inventory was so vast, being a novice in welding I requested the assistance of Jessica, who found all the supplies I needed to specification and number. I spent half as much for the supplies I needed here than if I had ordered or went anywhere else, they gave complimentary water, sodas, and snacks to help replenish energy lost from the day. Overall, this is THE go to welding supply shop that I will return to in the future for all my welding needs.

Sergio went through the options, described the tools we'd need to do the job, and offered the level of caring yet professional service that is so rare. The trip there was such an uplifting experience that my husband and I were motivated to tackle the floor when we got home. It looks amazing. Cleaning is not my favorite activity, but it's great to know that Uncle Sam's is nearby for effective cleaning agents and tools -- and the advice that I always need. Prices are reasonable as well.

This is a great place with outstanding customer service. I own an oxygen tank that I needed to get…read morerefilled. Unfortunately, the safety certification for the tank had expired. So that needed to be taken care of - with a hydro pressure test - before my tank could be refilled. When I explained the situation to Wayne, he offered to have my tank tested and filled by his supplier, on an expedited basis. Because I needed the oxygen right away for an ongoing project, I asked if he knew of any locations in the LA area that will do hydro testing on an immediate walk-in basis. That was not an option, since that service is no longer available locally. But he came up with an even better, generous solution: he kindly offered to loan me a brand-new tank filled with oxygen to get me started, and to arrange for my tank to be tested and filled, and to exchange the two tanks as soon as my tank came back from testing. As the other reviews indicate, Wayne is great to deal with, friendly and knowledgeable, and truly devoted to providing customer satisfaction. I recommend United Welding Supply highly.
