Purchasing a 2025 Ford Bronco from Astoria Ford has proven to be a disastrous decision. Four computer malfunctions in nine months, three of which resulted in nearly two weeks in the shop. Call them when the car breaks down, and you'll receive contradictory advice with one common denominator - Astoria Ford cannot possibly be at fault. One representative told me that it would do no good to "talk about the past," by which he meant my most recent car breakdown 15 minutes prior. My beat-up, sand-filled 2015 Toyota Rav with well over 250,000 miles has one huge advantage over the 2025 Ford Bronco - it gets me from point A to B. went to look and buy a 2019 Toyota Yaris Ryan was great meet 97% of what I asked for and the other 3% was not a deal breaker would absolutely use him for a purchase of another vehicle. well took the car home didn't notice any issues was so happy next day drove it around and the idle seemed low so did some battery reset on it it didn't seem to work still idle low at 500 rpm in drive called back on a Monday bought it on Saturday talked to the manger told him my issue and that I was from Portland he said bring it in. We'll get it looked at and get you out the same day which I thought was awesome broughy it in talked to the service manager told him that the tire pressure monitor system light was still on and that idle was low and I had multiple pictures time dated of bar sitting at 500. They took it into the shop hours later.(to b expected also not a big deal) The service manager came out and told me their master 25 year mechanic plugged it in and it was idling at 6:50 and the car was sitting there waiting for me when I got in the car. It was running Primo except for the air condition was on and it ups the idle when I took the air-conditioning off it went straight down to 500. They didn't reset the TPMS light although he was willing to, but he didn't seem happy because he turned around and said well I'm gonna have to open a new service order for it in a rough tone like a 7/10 which I just said forget it dude wasn't really willing to look the pictures or anything so I was pretty unhappy that's what they said that's all they did I ain't no 25 year master service tech but I have over 30 in the backyard mechanics with ooo I'm gonna say around 100 cars overtime continue driving around for a day or two couldn't handle it anymore. the service / mechanic desk, you know I expected them to look at maybe spark plugs motor mounts coil or something but they told me they just plugged it in it idle at 6:50 and there's no issues like I said I just walked away. I wasn't. I was not very happy got home, got x military busy put in a k&n air filter for it pulled the plugs put new ones in and now it runs like a dream. It's early morning and I haven't had my coffee story for me is the sales staff and the manager are outstanding and stuck to their word. I would totally buy another car from them although if it was used, I would take it in for a pre-purchase inspection. The reason for four out of five stars is the service department. read more

Rude! I'm an elderly womon 70 of age. Well I parked in the handicap spot took my time gathering things in my car took about 15 minutes I felt faint A ver rude salesman said you need to move! I was in shock, I replied that I need to talk to parts guy. He said we have other customers we need the spot. I was in shock , my heart started racing . Trying to leave I move slow I'm old he again approached me telling if you don't move we will charge you with criminal trasspassing! I have never been treated this way from anyone anywhere in my life! I could not believe this! I didn't do anything to provike this other then blowing my nose and throwing the tissues out into the back bed if my truck. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone not even my worst enemy. If I could give this place no stars I would. It was my first time buying a car, and it honestly felt like they took full advantage of that. From the beginning, I was told I'd be able to come in and build a car based on what I wanted. But when I got there, that plan was totally ignored--they had already picked out a car for me. It had features I didn't ask for, and they kept pushing it on me. I wasn't planning to buy a car that day and had intended to come back with my parents, but they threw everything at me all at once and pressured me into making a huge financial decision I wasn't ready for. What really frustrated me was the financing. I told them I wanted to go through a specific place, and they completely ignored that. They never even showed me what they had offered. Instead, they presented two other financing options and kept steering me away from the one I specifically requested. It felt super shady--especially because I later got a letter saying I had actually been approved through them and the loan was now being closed. I had no idea. They denied it behind my back and never even told me. Looking back, it's clear they saw a young woman who was new to the car-buying process and used that to their advantage. I felt pressured, misled, and taken advantage of at every step. The car itself is fine, but the experience was a mess. Liars. Just tried to buy a car, $50,000. But two salesman lied to me and the third tried to gaslight me, saying that I "misunderstood" the first two. But I produced emails and forced these Ford employees to admit that I was lied to. The manager on the floor was aware of these lies but refused to support his employees' stance and, rather than explain and apologize, he just sat in his office. Salesmen tried to get me to sign a purchase agreement different than what was agreed - evil and slimy. If I was the owner of this dealership then I would want these salesmen and the manager to explain why they lost an easy sale. Then I would fire them. This is because Ford has taken such great care of my truck this is the only place it would dare to have a issue. Not on the road not in the dark but after safely getting.me home then the.nexr morning it wouldn't start. I made an appointment with Chris in service he got me in the same day . I made arrangements to have.my truck delivery made from then at Ford they work relentlessly seeking out the problem I asked for a chance to borrow a loaner car and was given a new Bronco with only 6000 miles still smelled of.a new car. This dealers.is awesome because they do.not give up or sell you anything you don't absolutely need. They have technitions that are the best I've ever seen. And I'm 73 yrs. My wife and I got a 2014 Kia Forte from them. The dealer told me it came from another employee who upgrade. In the year sense we got it, I've had to replace all of the electrical, most of the gaskets, steering linkage, and a host of other problem, majority of it within the first month of owning it. When I reached out initially, I was told 'As-Is' and 'there is no lemon law in Oregon'. We also overpaid as we were desperate. They absolutely took advantage of us. Our car today is dead. I finally responded to a 2 year old airbag recall notice when my older Ford Ranger started running poorly and the service engine light was on. Astoria Ford is the only Ford dealership on the north coast so my options were limited. When I called them in mid August to make an appointment, I reached a recording that directed me to their website and when I went to the website, it directed me to call them by phone??? This is not impressive communication. I left a message before noon asking for an appointment and finally received a phone call back from a young lady the following day. She informed me they were completely booked for the next 2 weeks, so I made my appointment after labor day and parked my truck. A few days before my appointment, service writer Nate reached out by email to inform me that he was my dealership contact which was a nice touch. I showed up for my appointment and was informed by Nate (BTW, a true professional) that they had no record of the diagnostic engine light repair, only the airbag replacement but would try to work it in. The following day, I was called and advised the airbag replacement was completed and after the engine diagnosis, the repair required a part that was a non stocking item and that "corporate policy" required prepayment of over $300 when they invoiced the part for $123.00??? It seems odd that I was also prepaying some of the labor. In my over 50 years of car ownership and working in the wholesale automotive repair industry that entire time, I have never been asked to prepay for a repair when they held my vehicle in their possession! This prepayment policy is certainly not customer friendly, nor does it make me want to return to this Ford dealership for any future service or heaven forbid, to buy a vehicle. Due to this prepayment policy and the poor communication during my initial contact while attempting to make an appointment, In good conscience, I can't recommend this business to anyone! read more

Not impressed with customer service, appeared to hide the fact that the truck I was purchasing had damage until I asked for a car fax after I had signed papers. I should have asked for a car fax first. Although they should have disclosed it openly. The paint on the truck where it was repainted was mottled. I noticed the paint issue before leaving the lot. I asked to speak to a manager. I was told there was no manager left, and that they had gone home. Got a hold of my sales guy who had to leave he stated that he called and there was a manager there. The only reason I left was because I was told there was no manager and to give them a call tomorrow. So I also took the truck to a third-party shop for verification the paint was mottled which the shop confirmed. Astoria Ford still denies the fact the paint was bad. I ended up returning the truck and getting my car back. I would not recommend Astoria Ford based solely on the fact damage was not disclosed upfront prior to making the sale. I called to ask about a used F250 on the their lot and since I'm coming from a long distance away I needed to confirm a price. The first guy I spoke to Derek wasn't that friendly and didn't really seem interested in talking about the truck. The next guy I spoke to was his manager Garret and he gave me attitude and told me I could "buy the truck or not it doesn't matter to me". This was a 1 minute phone call. He didn't listen to what I had to say or even try to sell me on the truck or explain why it has only lost 5k off msrp in 3 years and has 24k miles on it. I'm disappointed because I'm a serious buyer but customer service like this is unexceptionable. I'll spend my money else where. 75k plus sales tax is a lot of money to me / a big purchase. My family & I were camping at Fort Stevens from out of town. On Friday, July 15th, our Ford truck was giving an error message & would idle at 40 mph & above. My husband went to this Ford center for service. The guy behind the counter said they're booked until Aug. Fine. When my husband asked about a mechanic in town, the guy told him to "google it". Seriously?! What a freakin' jerk! My husband took your extremely "helpful" advice & found a mechanic in town with excellent reviews, TJ's. I needed a rear window wiper blade for my 2015 Ford Edge and I was greeted by Brandon from the parts department. I explained what I needed and the blade was in stock. I informed Brandon I have never replaced a rear window wiper blade and my concern was the rear wiper arm did bend up like the front windshield wiper arm and how does one install the rear blade. Brandon said he would install the wiper blade for me so don't worry. I am in my 70's and I have owned many Fords and other non Ford vehicles but never have I had a dealership parts employee be so helpful and willing to address my concerns and needs. I had shopped before going in and had food in a cooler in the back of my car. Without ice! I began to worry about it and was going to walk to Walmart to get ice and Chris said "I'll do it!" It was pouring rain. I was grateful! Of course, I offered to pay for the ice and he refused. Besides that nicety he kept me advised every step of the way. Ive been here waiting for 3 times my estimated repair time for a recall. This is the 2nd trip for the same recall. Ive lost an entire day totally due to coming multiple times and waiting for a long period each time. Both times i was told 30 minute estimate without me asking. If you can't come anywhere close to your estimate , dont tell people it will be 30 minutes. No apologies or anything. Second Ford dealership/ repair center to give terrible service. I had made an appointment for a oil change and tune up, the lady I spoke with over the phone asked me specifically what kind of tune up I was needing and explained , spark plugs, belts the works for a tune up. She said they could get me in on Saturday I was excited! Of course the day comes and my check engine light pops on so thinking I'm glad I've got this appointment today! I get there and they say my appointment isn't until next Saturday, and they only have time for the oil change. My opinion is this place has a serious lack of integrity. I had been looking for a used BMW Z4 for a while and saw that they had one in stock. I reached out for more information on Tuesday January 4th. There was some miscommunication, but I did receive some addition photos I had requested on Thursday January 6th. I spoke with Baran Demirel about the car at 9:35 am on January 7th. I explained that I was looking for a Z4 in good shape and was told it was in "great shape" and that there were only two paint chips which I had been sent photos of. I explained that I was 2.5 hours away and didn't want to waste a trip for something that was not in good condition. I was assured that this car was in "great shape" but being sold in as-is condition. I had no issue with this and we agreed upon a price for the car assuming it was in the condition I was led to believe it was in. We then set up a time to pick the car up. I arrived at 9:50 the morning of the 8th and was met by Baran. He immediately started pointing out many paint issues that he did not mention via phone or email. It's a black car so I was disappointed but figured this was an honest mistake. He then points out a door ding and mentions that the tire pressure system had an error that didn't clear by inflating the tires. After looking over the car I pointed out that there was a lot of corrosion that should have been mentioned. There wasn't much of a response to this but I decided to start the car up and check other functions while it warmed up. I immediately noticed that the top did not function which is obviously a major issue with a convertible. I had already looked at a car that needed the motor replaced and was told by a BMW dealer that this is roughly a $2k job. I should have just left at this point but Baran was trying to salvage a deal so I offered $7k as it sat. I did this knowing I was going to spend at least another $2k for the issue with the top and who knows how much for the tire pressure issue. I figured I could deal with the paint issues and have the door ding pulled out cheaply. I believe Baran then spoke with Rich Byrd and came back with something around $8,800 OTD which I declined. At this point I had no intention of purchasing the car as it was nothing like it was described. I spoke with (I believe) Rich and let him know I wasn't happy about the situation and had the issues been disclosed I would not have even driven over to see it. He refused to even look at me and just kept saying it was as is and they didn't know it had issues. I find it VERY hard to believe that this dealership took a trade in without knowing about two major issues. I also feel like I was intentionally misled in order to get me in the door hoping that I would agree to a bad deal. I drove 220 miles and spent 5 hours of my day to see this vehicle based on what I was told which was nowhere near accurate. I emailed the owner directly and requested to be reimbursed for my fuel only. I never received a reply, that alone tells me that this behavior must be accepted at this dealership. read more

Absolutely horrible. I went here for warranty repair for a water leak they fixed it, then a month later i still had a water leak. (Not their fault) problem being after i received my car back the tail lights had condensation in them which were not there before. Was informed it can't be covered under warranty because there's not enough condensation. Then when i took it back to get the second leak taken care of, i received it back with two pretty big scratches on the side of my car. My car is a 2017 with 21k miles on it. I spoke with the service manger Lawn who was degrading, rude and no problem solving skills at all. He refused any further service for me pretty much stating that I'm making these claims up and doesn't want service with me anymore. Now needing to drive to longview to have the water leak re diagnosed again because Lawn is refusing to fix repairs that they already confirmed need to be fixed that is the source of the water leak. Horrible customer service. UPDATE: after taking it to Longview for the water leak, two times now. They confirmed that i still had a water leak because of Astoria ford. When they repaired the original leak coming from the roof rack there were pins missing and seals not resealed along with other leaks from the roof rack they didn't even bother with. I am SO glad they didn't continue to work on my car and i took it elsewhere and now my car is water free. TAKE YOUR SERVICE ELSEWHERE!! read more

I was grounded on Jan 1st in the Astoria airport due to weather. I needed to get back to Seattle for the night. Nathan answered my call inquiring about a rental car to get home for the night and return the next day to get the plane. The rental department was closed for the day, so Nathan had to talk to his manager, Rich. Nathan called me back, and even picked us up from the airport. Rich was very helpful in getting us the rental and saving the day. Even though the rental department was gone for the day, he still worked with us to get us a ride home. This was exceptional customer service and the staff was very polite and friendly. Drove down the next day (today) and bingo, deal was done. We were there less than an hour with check in hand. Went to Astoria Ford yesterday to look at a truck that I saw online. When I arrived at the dealer I was told the vehicle had been sold already. I looked at other vehicles they have on the lot. They said they had two coming tomorrow that I would be interested in looking at. The salesman didn't want me to wait until tomorrow to buy a vehicle because he wasn't going to be there. After agreeing to test drive in the SUV which is not what I was looking for and getting financing approved, I decided to stick to my original decision and look for a truck. Unfortunately they couldn't fix the problem immediately, but I was impressed that they tried, gave me recommendations for when I got home and even washed my car for free! I walked in to look at trucks. Settled on a used F150 that was pretty nice. Took it for a test drive and it was nice. The price was 32 grand, which seemed really high to me. So I told the salesman that I was going to do some research and get back to him. He tried the bullshit "what can I do to get you into this this truck today". I told him " Give it to me for 20 grand". He laughed. He did let me know I could get all the vehicle info on their website for my research, which was honestly the best part of my experience. So I took all the info I got from their website and plugged it into three different pricing guides (KBB.com, Nadaguides.com, Edmunds.com). The price came fluctuating between 19.5K and 21K for the price people are actually paying. i do realize I'm on the coast and the prices may be a couple grand higher. So I give the salesman a call and tell him what I found and say "what am I missing?". His response? "Probably a lot". Okay he's a salesman and I'm obviously not an easy sell so he's being a fucking nitwit. I got it. So I say, "take the info and plug it into the same sites and see what you get". He got the same price I did and said he'd get back to me. He gets back to me a couple hours later and says "Hey I got great news. We priced it wrong. We actually have it listed for 28K, but my manager said we would give it to you for 26 grand". It was my turn to laugh at this point. So let me get this straight, you overpriced this fucking truck by 12 grand, get pissed when I call you on it, and then offer to sell it to me for, at a minimum, 5 grand more than it's actually worth? Especially after you probably paid around 16 grand for it used, or bought it at auction for less? The owner of this place is well known and not well liked. His last name reflects the kind of deal you can get at this hot fucking mess of a dealership. Needless to say I didn't go back, nor will I ever. Update: The owner personally called me the next day and honored the original deal I was quoted, after hearing about what happened. He even offered to put it through without a deposit, and will pay for my gas for the drive. I am happy to say that this situation has been rectified, and an unfortunate miscommunication was handled very professionally. My salesperson, Karson, was very helpful and ensured that the car was built to my specifications. I will add a 5th star when I take delivery. I wish I could give this dealership less than one star. I was told by a salesperson that he has approval from the general manager and regional to order a car for me at $500 over MSRP. I drove all the way from Portland (almost 2 hours each way with traffic) only to be told by the sales and general managers that the price is actually $5000 over MSRP (for a $40000 car). Absolutely zero effort was made to rectify the situation. All I got was a half-assed "sorry," and when I spoke to the general manager, he just told me "good luck finding a car." I purchased my very first vehicle the end of 2019. It's been nothing but trouble since then. I bought a ford focus 2015. I was not informed the vehicle was actively being recalled at the time of the sale for a poorly designed clutch that Ford corporate acknowledges knowing about. Ford has recalled not only the clutch but this model car itself. To be eligible for the vehicle by back you need to show you've had ford replace the bad clutch 4 or more times. Days after initial purchase I already had the focus in a shop being looked at. It was shuddering upon acceleration. Clutch issue. That shop after some back and forth showed me the recall notice they were flagged about on my car. I brought the vehicle back to ford. I wanted out of the contract but they wouldn't allow that. I wasnt even able to drive my new car to work day after purchase as the tires were so unsafely bald that I wouldn't drive it upon seeing it in the daylight next day. Ford did replace my clutch stating it was covered under the warrentee and recall. Fastford just a couple months. Cars shuddering again. I take it back to Ford. This time they acknowledge there is a clutch issue and a clutch shutter but that it isnt severe enough to be covered under the recall yet. So its unsafe just not unsafe enough according to Ford. At this point I start contacting Ford Corporate. They tell me the car is part of a national buy back as the clutch is a know design flaw. However, you have to give Ford the opportunity to fix and replace the clutch multiple times before you are eligible. I fingue ok fine. Itll get bad enough and just be replaced a few times then finally I can be done with this nightmare. So I kept driving and paying for the vehicle and I would just make another inspection appoitment when its shuddering worsens. Keep in mind at this point Ive read up on this car and heard many horror stories of people being stuck in reverse or of the car violently jumping forward at lights. I was nervous driving it at all. Add to this I was traveling 50 mph or so when a part fell off the under side of the dash and landed on my foot while it was depressing the gas pedal. Terrifying!! I still have the part and pics of the part. It's an adapter to connect the code reader to the car itself. Now I've dealt with this car over a year and it still has clutch issues exactly like it did 3 days after purchase. I just brought It back into Astoria Ford today 1/23/2021. This time i was expecting the clutch to finally be bad enough to warrant replacing. No, now Ford says I wasnt in for the clutch last time. No I was in for the transmission according to them. This is not true. I told them it's doing the exact same thing as before. Bad clutch. So now Fords position is I have no more warrentee replacements on this dual panel clutch because it was a one time fix the first time. Well why then did they look at my vehicle now two more times since then at no charge but both times say I would have to pay? How do I ever reach the 4 or more clutch replacement with Ford if they wont do more than one period? Why was none of that said till this visit to Ford.? The tech at Ford today said I was working with R***l before and she no longer works their so they arent responsible for what an ex employee did. This has been a horrid experience and it's my first vehicle purchase. I just want out of this deal or for Ford to actually fix the damn car. read more
