Suggestion: maybe don't take on new patients until you can manage your calendar better and value patient relationships over monetary gain. Seriously thinking another doctor in the practice would be a better bet to see... just my two cents. And having patients (many of which in walkers) access a bathroom down a long hall outside of the office is both poor planning and insensitive. Reception staff is also very rude

His daughter, Mary is excellent. She has been my primary care provider since 2013. I love Mary. Very gentle, compassionate, and intelligent. She also makes you feel more than a patient. She has help me monitor my anemia and depression for many years. I rate both Dr. Vitale and Mary 5/5. My only complaint is that I feel like he needs to revamp his office staff. The front desk receptionist lacks professional. When I informed her about Mary would like to see me ASAP (she left a voicemail on my phone at 7:30am informing that blood results is not up to par and she would like to see me ASAP for intervention--- the receptionist told me there's no appointment in 1 month and hung out. I received another called form Mary the following day (which I was able to picked up) and got in right away. Another time, the phlebotomist dropped my brother's blood tube (after we had left). She called my mom in a demeaning manner demanding we should come back at this very instance. My mom was highly upset. For once my brother has anxiety and secondly the woman was rude. Once we returned back to the establishment. The lady told my brother to suck it up and stop being a wuzz. Very unprofessional for a 11 year old at the time. My mom quickly bring this to the attention of Mary at the next appointment.

She will deny prescriptions of hormonal medications that have caused me severe side effects as a menopausal woman, based on a whim and outright told me to find a new provider because I was on Medicaid in spite of accepting my insurance prior to my visit with confirmation from the front desk, and only denying me after a second visit which cost me so much money, time, and pain. I even had to find the documentation I didn't think I needed because I have never been refused care, of the written confirmation to continue treatment from multiple other providers including my former endocrinologist who signed off on more intensive treatments. Two week later his office authorized me for an MRI when he determined that I was actually injured. Instead of having me come in the same day and telling me the best way to sleep, and move with a fractured right shoulder, he told me to come back in a week. In addition, during my appointment, instead of asking me to move my arm in a certain way, he moved it himself which caused more pain. I decided to go to another physician in the same town who was much better. I am so glad I trusted my instinct in the end and went to someone else. I would have rated him 0 stars but the system would not allow it.
