If you know what you're doing, you can get around in the city pretty well. I had a bad day because…read moreit was a holiday and they were short staffed. Actually, no one was in the information center, but there were guys around with walkie-talkies that knew what was going on. I guess some of the problem I have with it is they do change the routes a lot and that can really mess you up when you're running late but also when it's really really cold out you don't want to be dropped off at the wrong place. Some bus drivers will answer questions and are really nice and some won't even acknowledge that you're talking to them. Some drivers wait for you to sit down or grab hold of something before they takeoff. There's some that are just plain awesome and will help you in anyway they can and are friendly. I do want to comment about the Broad ripple station. I went to yesterday after I got off of school. A man asked me if I wanted cocaine or alcohol and I said you realize you are here with school children right? Then he moved on to talk to somebody else. I don't know what he asked her, but she looked pretty mad. That really is the only sketchy thing that's happened to me so far. I'm including some helpful things that you could pick up at the transit center like brochures on the different routes as well as some tickets and how they work. If you have a two hour ticket that doesn't mean you could be on a bus for that amount of time. It means from 12 to 2 so it's better off just buying a day pass if you really don't know what's going on or it can get real pricey. I do know they have cards you can order as well. I usually just pay on the bus which they really don't like. It does save you two dollars. Make sure you don't take a $20 bill because you will not get change!!!!!!!!!!!!! The red line goes pretty fast and usually within 15 minutes they will pick you up. I'm including a picture of how you can also find your routes on your phone at Google Maps or whatever. They are very handicap friendly as well as they have places on front of the bus for your bicycles. Just remember you have to pull the cord before the next stop or they will just fly by it sometimes.

They assumed the problem was minor, but I was telling them that it was more complicating than that. I emailed them regarding this, and they told me to call them so they can have a representative walk through it. I called them twice again, and no one picked up, nor called back. I couldn't book my tickets online nor via phone because no one would pick up.

I'm going to get hate on this, but it's the truth. I use to work for Reindeer Shuttle, use to call…read morethat place my home away from home. First job I got when I got back from college, they were the best of the best with drivers and employees. But in recent years, the company went down. Owners became less caring towards their drivers. Made them work overtime without receiving the pay. Wouldn't allow "certain" drivers touching vehicles. The one owner has health issues and problems seeing. It's unsafe, unhealthy, unprofessional. They even got into an accident. The owners don't care about the 60-80 hour work week the drivers put in. Yelled at them if they go even 2MPH over speed limit. The owners took away drivers PTO hours if they got fired or left. They would not hire you back unless you were playing in their political system. They will also spy on you inside the bus or in the office. They hired back a Driver who made up stories, made up excuses, called off right before shifts, pretended to be sick. They have a high turnover rate due to one of the owners who "trains" them. The old employees have mentioned to the one owner that their spouse is the issue and needs to be replaced or fired. That owner will not do so as it's their spouse and blames the performances or training on other employees. The one owner of the company also goes out to the employees cars and takes photos inside of them while you're working and will talk bad about you if your car is a mess. They will say, "if your car is a mess, so will your performance." The owner will then say you are doing a terrible job and the HR will not say or do anything about it and will side with the owners to save their skin. That's how much of this company cares about employees and their customers. They have left customers at the airport numerous times and lie saying they called when they haven't. They would also not refund them and tell the customers to rate them 5 stars. The owners would also yell at their employees (CSR) if they missed a person even though they are handling phone calls and answering emails while the drivers or Owners would be in office watching TV or playing on their phones. If you are a customer or employee trying to go to Reindeer Shuttle, don't. The family who runs this business does not nor will not care about your safety or your employment. You are not in good hands, you are not going to be safe with certain drivers. You will not feel like you're going home or to the airport. They will take your money or your time. Even if you show them proof of your delay, they will still not refund you, they will ask if you want another shuttle time and if you say no they will not give you money back, they will give you gift certificate and end your ticket that day.

I ride the city bus almost daily for my commute. The busses reach a majority of the Lafayette/ West…read moreLafayette area, and are generally pretty reliable. During peak rush hour times and if there is construction, they are sometimes late/early to the point it seems like they just aren't coming (I've had to wait over 20 minutes a few times), but the City Bus app has real time maps that allow you to look where the bus is at before you leave. The buses are clean and safe- out of town visitors should definitely consider these as a mode of transportation. I come from a place where riding the city bus is dangerous, so this is a welcome difference. The city bus center is a nice building, and a good place to wait to be out of the cold.

If I were from Lafayette, IN, Me and Myself would be looking at me, right now, wondering, "Are you…read moreREALLY writing a review about a bus center"? "Hell yeah!" I would reply. "I just got off the Greyhound; it's cold out; I'm dog tired, and I sure don't feel like finding a fire hydrant to do what dogs need to do after sitting on the bus for two hours. Not only that, but this place has working outlets to charge my phone--something the bus company promised to have at each seat, but for which they didn't deliver." "Is that all?" they'd ask. "No! Listen here, Me and Myself," I'd say. "They have a flyer for each Lafayette city bus here too, and a display to show when each bus is going to come. YOU try to find that back home in Chicago." "You mean we're going to take the city bus too, after hoofing on the 'hound all the way here?" Me, Myself and I were lucky that day. I had arranged a ride that arrived shortly thereafter. But having Citybus Center was a breath of warm air as we waited, and on a weekend--a Saturday--no less.
