Less than a year later, a big part of one of the "trimmed" trees broke off at the base & crashed on our home's roof, causing major damage. Oh well... C&W came out a few days after I contacted them (once all the home roof repairs were done). Their very fair estimate included removal of the "killer" tree (the one that broke & smashed our house), another ill/dying maple tree, and trimming of the remaining big maple trees surrounding our home. They gave me an estimate of when they'd be able to do the work, and met that time estimate. The crew showed up on time, did an EXCELLENT job of removing the dead/dying trees, and properly trimmed the remaining trees (not just "topping" them). They also took care to not crush my septic leach field in the process. C&W's crew went above & beyond, and did more than was promised. I'd certainly hire them again.

I called Duke and Spectrum about temporarily taking the lines down but they refused to assist. Zach felt his climber (Steve) could work with the situation and he was absolutely correct. It wasn't exactly easy and it took 2 days but the team systematically cut down the 110ft tree to a stump without a single issue. No damage to anything. They then trimmed the other 2 large maple trees and because of carpenter ants, treated the ground area for those trees. Zach and team cut up and stacked the wood so I can distribute it to friends of mine. He hauled away the large pieces of wood. Yard clean up was immaculate. Everyone was polite. They came right out and surveyed surveyed the damage. They felt the tree would be ok for a short time and that they would make it a priority even though they had other storm damage to deal with. I also asked them to give me an estimate on trimming for my other trees. They came the next week. Because of where the tree was and the wet ground they had to do everything by hand rather than use heavy equipment. They came early in the morning and worked until late in the afternoon. The crew did a great job on all of the trees and thoroughly cleaned up everything afterwards. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone needing tree service.
