Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Poor Medical Care and Lack of Empathy…read more I came to this hospital with severe pelvic pain (8/10), heavy bleeding for 10 days with blood clots, severe dizziness, and extreme weakness that barely allowed me to remain standing. I want to clarify that the check-in staff was very kind, and the nurses were also caring and professional. My negative experience was specifically with the medical care I received from the doctor. From the moment she entered the room, she never asked how I was feeling, how severe my pain was, how much I was bleeding, or how intense my dizziness was. She simply told me that some tests had been ordered and that we would wait for the results. When the results came back, she told me that I had an infection and that she would give me a pill and Tramadol. She then told me that she felt comfortable sending me home. I clearly explained that I was still experiencing 8/10 pain, severe dizziness, and such extreme weakness that I could barely stand. Despite this, her recommendation was simply to lie down when I got home and, if the pain continued, to return to the hospital. Seriously? Sending a patient home with severe pain, heavy bleeding with clots, dizziness, and extreme weakness, and simply telling her to come back if the pain continues? To me, this demonstrated a lack of empathy, attention, and commitment to the patient. I did not feel heard, properly evaluated, or taken seriously. People go to a hospital because they need to feel safe and receive appropriate medical care--not to be sent home feeling practically the same or worse, with the feeling that their condition does not matter. My experience with the medical care I received was horrible, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. If you are sick and need to feel that your symptoms are truly being heard and your condition is being taken seriously, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hospital. I sincerely hope the hospital reviews situations like this, because patients deserve to be heard, taken seriously, properly evaluated, and treated with compassion and humanity.

She did a good assessment to relay to the doctor and took some xrays. Literally within five minutes of her leaving he came in (and someone else came by in that interim to tell me he would be right with me).
