Please find another office!! This place is a horror story. To keep it simple: they are so incredibly disorganized, lack communication, and the providers will not take you seriously. One star earned--Find another office!!! I got there one day 2 mins past the 15 min "late arrival" window and had to reschedule. THAT, I understand. My bad. I was rescheduled for the following day because of an issue with my breast. I arrived INSIDE the 15 min window...and was told I would have to reschedule. And it would be months. I have seen Dr. Doan for 30 years, but never not been seen for months when there was a problem. I will find a new doctor. read more

It's been about 6 months since I was at this office. I moved in the last few weeks of my pregnancy because I could not imagine having one of these doctors deliver my child. This office performed multiple tests on my baby and they told me she was consistently underweight for months. Come to find out she was perfectly healthy at 7lb 12oz and the dr I moved to (Dr. Mosher @ Lintecum & NIckell - HIGHLY RECOMMEND) was polite and professional, but said that the issue with my babies' weight was likely due to their equipment being misconfigured because there was no sign that she was underweight when I moved over to the new dr. Most of the physicians AND nurses I saw were extremely short with you, rude and generally unpleasant. You are literally treated like you're not important, they will rush you in and out and give a sigh when you ask questions. It's like they run in the room, say a few words and then run back out. It was stressful moving doctors at 36 weeks, but I do not regret it for ONE second. read more

I find the front desk people to be extremely rude and unpleasant. While the docs may be fine, front desk personalities go a long way. This is NOT a government office and they should not operate as such. read more

I'm going to leave the same review here that I left on Google, because there's no reason to tell it any differently. Currently one day shy of 37 weeks pregnant with my first and so far have no regrets in choosing AWC. I chose Dr. Doan and she has been very pleasant and kind throughout the course of my visits, and very attentive to my care. On days I can't get in with her I see NP Rachel who is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend visiting her for any checkup, but be warned she is so well liked and always busy spending as much time with each patient as possible she is often running behind. I haven't minded the wait though. She's worth it. The receptionists have always been friendly and helpful, and willing to answer any questions. Any time I've had an after hours question I submitted it through the patient portal online and received a call back the following day. Heck, even the lab tech (contracted through Quest Diagnostics) who was always the one to draw my blood was amazing. So sweet, fast, friendly, and well skilled. Every draw was virtually pain free. I'm honestly puzzled by those leaving the bad reviews because my experience has been the complete opposite of theirs. Then again, my review is based on multiple/regular visits - taking them all into account - instead of being based on a single/isolated visit. read more

I recently relocated to the Kansas City area and wasn't sure where to go for my annual exam. I did some research online and found the Associated Womens clinic. I liked the idea of it being close to home and several different services available as well as locations. I contacted the clinic and they didn't have an opening until approx. 4 weeks from my initial call. I was having some problems, but I accepted that appt. I began to feel more concerned about my issue so I called to speak with a nurse. The nurse didn't really listen to my concerns or offer and suggestions or advice to reassure me until my upcoming appt. Finally, the day of my appt arrived. My appt was rescheduled for 30 minutes earlier and for a different location which was really no problem for me. I arrived, got signed in and was finally called for my appt. I felt no personal interaction with the nurse that took my metrics. She really seemed quite complacent. I was taken to my exam room. I sat in the exam room for 45 minutes, (I checked)! I felt this was absolutely crazy, isn't that what appointments are for?!?! This is not the worst of it. Once my Dr./ midwife came in for the exam, she almost instantly told me that she had been working almost 24 hours between the clinic and the hospital and that she would be doing the same again that same evening. How can you provide good care for someone if you are not alert. She began the exam and continued to use the exam apparatus to find my cervix. This is a pretty common exam and never in my life have I felt less sure of my health care professionals. I was very sore the next day from my exam because of the numerous 'proddings' as she tried to find where my cervix was located. I felt this was overall a terrible experience. I will not be returning to this clinic. I understand I am a patient, but I am also a customer and have several other options for care. Im sad this clinic did not work out, because I like the idea of its being specialized care and close to home. I might as well have gone to planned parenthood, at least they treated me like a person there and never once was I bleeding or sore from the pap. read more
