I had a biopsy scheduled at a location in Chicago Ridge, and I was surprised by how crowded the waiting area was. It was packed with people in a very small space, and it appeared DIRTY. About 18 patients were seated only 12 inches apart, and I didn't feel comfortable being crammed into that waiting room. The room where the biopsy was performed was average, but the staff conducting the procedure were excellent. In summary, I do not want to be scheduled at this location again. read more

The CR office is very very bad. Entire staff is unprofessional, cruel, uncaring, abusive, and not clean. This place should close down (IDPH should be notified). I wish I could give this place negative 5 stars. The doctor my husband saw today and the staff treated him terribly! They should be ashamed of themselves. Belittling and talking down to a grown man like a kid is so disgusting. Patients go to healthcare providers for help and need to be heard. My husband did not experience this. My husband was there the other day and he said the doctor didn't introduce himself! He just started the procedure. His bedside manner was nonexistent!! I wasn't pleased with the smell of the place and I sat outside the office area where they had chairs. I wasn't allowed to go back with him. Hubby said things didn't look clean in the back. They were super crowded and I wondered if they had time to disinfect after each patient. I hope he doesn't have to go back there ever!!!! read more

Nice MD practice for a group of urologists...this particular location being in Chicago Ridge. The group of doctors rotate through this facility in conjunction with a number of other locations, such as West on 167th Street in Orland Park. So whomever you might be seeing, there are usually a number of places where you can set up an appointment. This is a busy practice location so there is a short wait at times, but the doctors and nurses who work here are very professional. I started with this practice in the 1980's in Oak Lawn and have followed them out to Chicago Ridge...one of these days I'll try their Orland Park office. If you need a urologist, these are good people. read more

If you like sitting in an unsanitary waiting room 45 mins past your appointment time, this is the place for you. And their sales practice of you "have" to make an office visit appointment to review test results is not only unethical, but holding test results hostage seems illegal. IDPH seems to think so. The Chicago Ridge location needs to come into the 21st Century. I've been trying to get my medical records for months and was unable to pick them up do to surgery. I asked is they could be emailed to me which is what the top hospitals do....of course I was told NO and perhaps I should send one of my emergency contacts to get them. Who says that! I was also told that they could not be mailed either but would remain at the front desk. Fast forward, it's been two months and I called to see if my records were still at the front desk and was told that "we can't find them" and I need to request them again. So now my personal information, CT scans and medical records are lost...this place is horrible and after being diagnosed with a huge kidney stone by another doctor/hospital that this place missed, my primary doctor told me she's a bit concerned with the treatment I received. I'm not sure if they treat everyone like this or just the minority patients but I'm never using this practice again. read more

Love Dr. Berger! He's very competent and has a good "bedside manner". Office staff is efficient, though the voicemail/phone system could be a bit more user friendly. Social distancing and infection control processes seem to adhere to CDC guidelines (much appreciated!). Thanks! read more

My opinion has totally changed. This group of Urological Specialists are great. We did go to a different doctor at another location. They have been wonderful as far as working with us to make payments. My husband's cancer was taken care and is under control. I highly recommend these specialists. read more

When I arrived for my scheduled pre-surgery appointment recently, the person at the front desk told me I did not have an appointment. She didn't know anything about my upcoming surgery either. Upon looking further, she then said I had an appointment the following Monday. I replied that I did not. I explained that I had cancer surgery scheduled for Tuesday morning, and no one told me my pre-surgery appointment was rescheduled. I explained that there was no way I could get the pre-surgical testing done and the results faxed to my doctor if my appointment was set for only about 18 hours before my surgery. She told me my doctor was on vacation, his staff was not in the office, and there was no one who could help me. I asked for the office manager and the front-desk person told me the office manager couldn't help because she didn't know anything about it either. The front-desk person didn't seem to understand or care that my scheduled cancer surgery would not happen if I could not have my pre-surgery appointment on time. I was forced to make a scene to get someone to do something for me. The office manager spoke with me, and another doctor prepared the pre-surgery paperwork and spoke with me. He was rushing me and kept repeating that he had patients waiting because he was helping me. Apparently he didn't understand that this was not my fault, I am paying for this appointment, this is MY time, and that his patients were not my concern. I didn't appreciate being made to feel like I was putting him out when it was the person who rescheduled my appointment without bothering to tell me who caused this upset in his schedule. I have been the victim of other errors and, in some cases, rudeness from the staff, at both this office and the Orland Park office over the years. If it weren't for the fact that I have cancer and I want to continue seeing my doctor, I would run far away from this practice. If a medical practice can't handle simple things like scheduling appointments correctly, you have to wonder what else they are screwing up. Be forewarned. read more
