He described the procedure of a bunyon removal and hammer toe clearly and precisely to be sure I truly wanted to do it. The next visit was scheduled to set the date for the surgery, which was March 5th. The procedure went extremely well, and post-op couldn't have been better! Dr. Taylor saw me 2 days after surgery, then 4 days later, then weekly until 30 days had gone by. At six weeks, he allowed me to remove the "boot", and I was ready! Through the entire process, Dr. Taylor was super informative, caring, and happy to see my progress. He is the best doctor I have seen in my lifetime --- his kindness, gentleness and care are certainly ongoing. I went to Podiatry 1st prepared with a history of my lab results, all my medications, my custom orthotics and a water intake log - I wasn't going to leave without some answers as to what is causing my feet cramps. Dr. Mota was very sweet. She listened and was understanding. She considered every possibility rather than just assuming I had some sort of deficiency in my diet or wasn't drinking enough water. She said it might be related to my back pain and I told her I'd be having an MRI done of my back fairly soon. She educated me on what vertebrae's to watch out for that would tell me whether it's the cause of my foot cramps. And she planned out next steps with me in case it's not my back causing these pains. I left her office extremely satisfied and hopeful that effective treatment for my ongoing feet cramps is around the corner.

The staff at the MRI office even commented that they have never had a patient have an MRI on their toe. Either way, I was there. Went to Needleman's office for a followup. He said the MRI didn't show him anything but he wanted to do surgery nonetheless. I have no idea what I was thinking but gave the approval because I was in pain and needed help. Needleman had me come to his office for the surgery. I have to say, when they had me change into a gown and the nurse was in scrubs, I got a little worried. I thought this was just minor surgery on my toe. Needleman came in and looked like he was read to perform open-heart surgery on me. He even had his bare hands in the air so the nurse (assistant) could glove him. Again, not doing a whole lot for my anxiety. Well, thanks to that surgery, which didn't solve anything, I now have a torn tendon. I went to an orthopedic surgeon who determined that the tendon was partially severed during a previous surgery. Ahhh, thanks, Mr. Needleman. In case you are wondering, the absence of the title, "Dr." is intentional. This guy is anything but.

After trying, and failing (I'm not stupid) to sell me $40 a month, must be bought in two month packages of lame vitamins I could get at Cvs for MUCH cheaper, he FIRED me as his patient. Yup. You got it. With the diabetes diagnoses, he suddenly decided there was nothing more he could do to treat me or my neuropathy, or my heel spur and foot damage to my left foot. I listened to that man and wore an ortho boot for months; the only thing it did was shrink my leg muscles, which I am still working to rebuild! Steer clear of this guy, find a real podiatrist, is my advice. I can't believe there is still such a stigma attached to diabetes, and from a "doctor." I'm just shaking my head at all this. The shooting pains have been ongoing for weeks and the doctor offered no remedy for ongoing pain. My next follow-up visit was on the day of major snow and I drove all the way in as the doctors only patient to be taken care of. There was no nurses there so the doctor said someone would contact me the next day and get my next appointment scheduled. No one ever contacted me and I had to contact them to make my next appointment. When I contacted them they said they had no appointments and when they had to squeeze me in on a Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. so I get there at 9:22 on Tuesday and there is somebody else in front of me for 10 minutes when I get to the desk she tells me my appointment is canceled. She says they have a policy that you must be 10 minutes early for your appointment or it will be canceled, so if somebody's in front of you checking in beware. I changed my plans to come to your office, shame on you for what you did to me today. Maybe not let your receptionist run your business and have some compassion sometimes.
