The service and quality of the Carers from CCAH cannot be unstated. For a long time we simply needed some coverage for basic respite time. But as my moms' Alzheimer's progressed, the coverage has to be top level, and more regular. We have daily needs. The office and scheduling staff are prompt, attentive and professional. Very rarely is there a "no." The business/ billing aspect of the company is again- prompt, professional, and importantly-correct. The follow-up care and concern CCAH shows is impeccable. Without CCAH, keeping mom safe and comfortable in her own home would be next to impossible. With Caring Companions at our side, we are able to see mom thrive in this difficult season of life with as much normalcy, affection, and care that we could have ever hoped for.

We had a horrible experience with no less than SIX different caregivers over a month's time. We outlined two days a week needs, a female caregiver, fluent and able to take directions. Mom is very low care and we have a lovely town home (nice area to work in), and needed showers, bed linen changes (I had to have my bed done too but that was an issue for their caregivers), help up, and we needed light cleaning, light cooking (I was there to direct). Three of their caregivers could not make a bed (hospital corners should be the industry standard), follow directions, do light cooking. Three could not fathom the simple trash system (we have compost, recycle landfill) and One caregiver was dressed up as if to go to lunch in wedge heels; one was obese and could lift the edge of a mattress. One was good (she lived in Irvine and worked mostly in Newport beach and only available on Fridays as a sub-in). Two did light floor mopping with a sponge mop for me, but the last one said the service told her not to do it (without discussing it with me?) and only use Swiffers. We don't own Swiffers. We are unscented eco-friendly people and don't use those kinds of disposable products. These people do not care about your needs or lifestyle. Since this review the bookkeeper has suddenly slammed us with DAILY OVER DUE NOTICES, starting last Sunday (we never got a first bill) for the last three caregivers - one of them we fired, and one made Mom's bed with WET SHEETS. We have repeatedly asked for a modified bill and certainly want to pay one of the the good work she did. WHAT A FIASCO! This is a bad service.

Over the course of several weeks, I worked closely with Lina while arranging the additional support my mother needed following her surgery, which had been significantly delayed due to the Kaiser strike. Throughout the process, Lina was professional, compassionate, kind, and extremely helpful. There were several frustrating moments related to scheduling issues, many of which I expressed to Kaiser. Lina was always honest and transparent, explaining that all of their Spanish-speaking caregivers were currently assigned to other clients. Even so, she consistently took the time to listen to my concerns, answer questions, and help explore possible solutions. Lina maintained regular communication to ensure my mother received the specific care she needed when she needed it.
