My son was trying to establish…read morejoint equal custody after his paternity was established in 2018, and every attorney we spoke with wanted $15K retainer. Sean overheard me say we had about half that available, and he came over and said he would do it. We had a one-day trial, and my son has had 50/50 since, but the mother continues to try to undermine him and eliminate his custody. I believe that parents should be as informed as they possibly can about the applicable laws and the process, but there are very few resources for pro se litigants. If you're expecting your case to be a long, contentious, stressful, drawn-out situation with the other parent bullying, lying and manipulating the court, then you'll need someone to help guide you on the best approach to try to reduce litigation. We recommend you call Sean for a consultation. One of the things I love about Sean is that he's an experienced attorney who cuts through the BS. He's a nice guy, which means you have to remind yourself you're doing business. Family law is part of a broader industry that involves all kinds of professionals. It's easier to deal with someone who understands your personal experience. We've had to turn to Sean repeatedly over the past few years, and we're looking forward to meeting Lauren and the rest of the staff. If you're a single dad or a partner, parent, sibling, or friend of a single dad, please connect at www.ineedmydaddy.org. It's a new site, and supporters are welcome to contribute. Prior to retaining The Carlisle Law Firm, I had two previous attorneys who either did the bare minimum which did not help progress the case at all, or actually stalled the progress of the case by providing poor/haphazard legal advice. Prior to retaining Christy, she listened to my case and provided realistic expectations and timelines. Since retaining Christy, the case has swiftly moved along with no major road blocks. She is intelligent, professional, prompt, friendly, firm, and an overall wonderful attorney to work with. Lauren is extremely responsive, friendly, and professional. They both put my mind at ease and addressed all of my concerns. We were able to go from a huge mess of a case to a fair resolution within 7 months (VERY quick given the history of the case). I highly recommend this law firm to anyone who needs a strong family law attorney!
