Highly recommend! Rich has been the biggest blessing to our family and for the last year and a half, has been so amazing. He helped our sons have a voice when the court system failed them and our family. My husband felt defeated and with Rich representing him, we came out on top and our kids are so happy. Trustworthy, patient, attentive, prompt, thorough, and compassionate. Words couldn't express our gratitude! The Martins read more

I called Mr Abdallah and he personally answered the phone and was very direct, personable and honest. He helped me navigate my legal problems to which I had an excellent outcome. The most impressive talent Richard had was his ability to connect with the opposing parties in my case. He was able to make the connections that facilitated a great outcome in my favor. I was so fortunate to have him on my side! read more

Richard Abdulala helped me get through a very difficult divorced. he gave me real advice and help without escalating the conflict. He kept my stated interests as priority over making money on risky court battles. He's was professional, reliable, fair, knew his way around the courtrooms and judges. My ex changed the schedule unilaterally to establish more custody because the hearing, he was able to help me gain it back and keep it. He was there when I needed him, fair and flexible with billing. If it wasn't for Richard, I'd be a total wreck after my divorce. Richard treated me with respect, and always treated my case with the same importance I did. He is very courteous, calm, and intelligent. His response time is good. I felt comfortable meeting with Richard in his office which has a very professional atmosphere. Richards rates are very reasonable. He will stand up for Dad's going through very tough situations but doesn't compromise on honesty. I can appreciate that. Don't make the same mistake I did and hire another lawyer first. Honestly, talk to Richard before shopping around for a family court lawyer. You won't be disappointed. read more

I'm grateful for Mr. Abdallah's guidance and expertise. He's patient, supportive, friendly and was relaxed and confident in court. He excels at distilling issues for documents, and in the courtroom, so your concerns will be heard and addressed. Richard has a keen sense of when to let the court process unfold and when to raise the matters that are most important. Balanced and fair, not cutthroat. I am extremely pleased with the process and outcomes from our hearings. He operated on a flat-fee, which kept costs reasonable and much lower than when I worked with another attorney who charged hourly. My experience was smoother and much less stressful working with him. I would absolutely seek his help again in the future. read more

Worse than Lionel Hutz and Cordell & Cordell combined... I spent thousands of dollars just to get completely owned in court. Mr. Abdallah Esquire was a shoddy, terrible lawyer. Unresponsive, uninterested, and unreliable... He never responds to emails, because he wants you to call him on the phone, so he can bill you relentlessly. The only time he responded promptly to me, is when I wanted to pay him the final bill. Then he called me back within 2 minutes despite being on a family vacation on the freaking East coast! That says it all. Pathetic excuse for a lawyer. read more

Rich was recommended to me about a year ago while I was going through some lingering divorce issues that never seemed to go away. My first impression of him was that he was very personable and a straight shooter. After one phone call with Rich I knew this would be someone I could entrust to handle my legal problems. After reviewing my situation he was able to explain how the judicial system would view my case and he sat down with me to work out a plan. I'm proud to say that after a few months the drama from my ex has stopped and I've finally been able to peacefully move on with my life. I found him to be punctual, fair, honest and very knowledgeable about the legal system. I highly recommend Rich for any legal matters that one may encounter. Kevin read more

I was in need of an attorney that was professional, thorough, and could explain complex family law in lay terms. Richard was able to meet all three requirements effortlessly. I worked with Rich on my divorce and it was an excellent experience. When I met Rich I was stressed, unemployed and pennyless. In a month or so I was receiving spousal support, it gave me the stability I needed to be successful. Questions concerns were addressed promptly, straight forward approach, compassionate and made sure my legal costs were used efficently throughout the entire process. I can't say enough great things about this firm. Thanks Rich!! Karina Dickerson read more

I hired this attorney and he was recommended to me as well. After paying him over over 5500 for Simple Change of venue he kept on delaying and I was loosing my custody as I wanted my case t be fought in Merced county. As he delayed it over 2 months for unknown reasons we end up in Sacramento county because my ex wife's attorney filed papers on time, when we finally got a date for the decision that if my ex wife should be allowed t move kids from Merced county or not, Mr Abdallah quoted me the wrong date for my case. And for failing t show up in court affected the outcome to great extent. From day one he would not use emails for my records so he would not leave any paper trail for his own safety. His dishonesty had affected me a lot. I lost my kids custody because Mr Abdallah quoted me the wrong date and I was unable to show up. From the day one I had mentioned t him that he should Only take my case if he would fight like he would fight for his own kids. As devastated I am and I understand lawyers don't have full Control over the outcome but when you pay them promptly and more than they asked for, and they don't take your case w full responsibility hurts a lot. I recommend that before you hire Mr Abdallah you contact me. My e mail is urgentcare2011@hotmail.com Evidentially Mr Abdallah has complaints filed for the same reason by another individual at better business bureau. I advise you to hire a paralegal and fight yourself as no attorney will Fight for your cause as they don't want t be difficult w the judges. read more

Horrible attorney. Did what he wanted to do. Didn't listen to us. When I called him he quoted me $150/hr and changed the rate to $300. Padded our bill until he took almost all our money. Didn't show up to court and charged us for finding someone else. Charged us for 10 attempts to change our court date with opposing attorney when he could've just moved the date with the court. Would never have given him a dime if I could do it over. read more

Words can't describe mr. Abdullah professionalism I came into his office less than 2 months from my trial date .my divorce was the crazy one .my ex would not compromise on our property we owned together I figured it would take a judge to order her to let me keep the house. But to my surprise Mr.Abdullah worked his magic and made me and my ex wife realize it was time to work together to resolve this issue. I truly didn't think we could ever come to an agreement. But we did. Mr. Abdullah rates are very competitive too less than half of big law firms with a whole lot more client interest in mind then profit. Rich thanks again for keeping my dreams alive. read more

I had a legal matter and I was up against a 24-hour deadline to get it resolved. What's more, if I hired an attorney who was clueless regarding family law contracts, I could suffer dire consequences. I knew that the top-rated attorneys on Yelp would be busy since their reputation would attract many potential clients. I contacted several including Richard Abdallah. Richard quickly responded to my Yelp request and I soon followed up with a telephone call. As anticipated, Richard's calendar was full, but Richard also understood that I was in a bind. He agreed to meet with me that same day. It must of been a late night for him, but Richard reviewed the contract and suggested several changes. He obviously had my best interest in mind. He worked with the opposing attorney to implement the changes so that both parties were satisfied. We met the deadline. Richard was also personable (I admit that we had a lot in common). Based on my limited experience, I added his name to my Rolodex. I hope that I will never need his services again, but if I do, I will not hesitate to contact him. read more

Mr. Abdallah came off to me as a super knowledgable and ethical attorney who understands the law. He was recommended to me by 3 different attorneys. His name kept popping up so I decided to give him a call. I have been in pro per and have been doing lots of legal research on my case to keep costs down. He was one of the very few attorneys who was familiar with the case law and statutes for my unique circumstances. After a quick assessment of my case he recommended I try to settle with the other party and continue working alone to keep costs down and retain services of an attorney closer to trial, provided my matter does not get settled. I felt like he was looking after my best interests. I would highly recommend Mr. Abdallah's services. read more

Richard was recommended to me by a friend of a friend who worked at another law firm specializing in divorce cases. He told me, "All the lawyers I work with are really good, this guy is MUCH better." I went in to see Richard for a consultation, and I was, most definitely, not at my best emotionally. Richard was compassionate, understanding, and quickly put me at ease. He started off by asking me what was, and was not important to me. He never put any pressure on me to go after more money or property and focused entirely on what my desired outcome was. My divorce took a very long time to work through, nearly 2 years. During that time it was clear that Richard put a lot of effort into trying to make things go as well as they possibly could and also on trying to ensure he didn't have to bill me excessively, which was greatly appreciated. As a side note: I have 3 co-workers going through divorce proceedings right now and it's abundantly clear that minimizing charges is no where on their lawyer's minds. My divorce was the most emotionally taxing and depressing event I've ever been through. I am very thankful that Richard was there to help me through the legal side of things. I do not believe I could have found a better person to work for my son and I. read more

I found Richard on Yelp when I was in dire need! I had a court appearance the following week and I had not even filed my response. I called him on a Thursday and he had me the next day. He is very kind and knows his stuff. He has and will continue to represent me through family law issues. He has always been on my side and has been very honest about what the outcome would likely be. He takes as much of the stress off you that he possibly can (we all know dealing with family issues are stressful and there will always be a certain amount of anxiety that comes with it). He is very reassuring. With his help I was able to get the best possible outcome for the kids. I fully trust him and will continue to do so. Highly recommend!!!!! read more

I wrote a positive review two years ago but, frankly attorney Abdallah didn't give this brother a fair representation. He never challenged the witness statement poorly written by my ex (an attorney). She wrote her own witness statement (not signed) and filed it under the name of the law firm of her attorney. Talking of a low ball...We sure did not catch that mistake. I hired this law firm but never gotten a phone call or a report from them. The court statement submitted by the other party were not sent to me. I never found out what we were up against. Attorney Abdallah missed a court day and never gave me the option of delaying a court appearance. I lost custody of my child. Up on earring the court decision he told me "We won. You get to see your son 3 weeks a year. That's more than you see him now". Better luck to the next guy or lady. I paid $2500 and they say I owe $1500. Still married to the manipulator. read more

Highly Recommend! Very professional. Honest. Mr. Abdallah gave me helpful family law advice and solved my problem with some simple steps, saving me thousands of dollars in attorneys fees, others would have tried to take from me. Mr. Abdallah is my attorney in a contentious divorce case. He is not only well versed in the Family Law Code, but also very familiar with the specific local rules of Sacramento County. While he recognizes there is huge value in settling issues outside of Court, Mr. Abdallah is not afraid to take the fight to a Judge and advocate on my behalf. He is very skilled in litigating issues in Court. Mr. Abdallah is great at listening but he will not sugar coat the facts. Let's start off by saying that from all the attorneys that I called he was the only one to pick up the phone and take a few minutes and talk to me. Which caught me by surprise. We spent a good 10 to 15 minutes talking about my situation. He was very nice and genuinely interested in what I was saying. Without being pushy he asked if I wanted to set up a formal appointment a talk more about the issue I was having and that he was able to help me. I soon as I got off the phone I knew he was the right person for the job. The last few months I have gotten to know Richard while working on my case. Not only is Richard kind and sympathetic attorney but most importantly he's smart, experienced an extremely knowledgeable about the law. Plus he's hard working and takes great pride in his work. In my particular case he spent countless hours to insure that my case was detailed as possible. The work Richard has put into my case has been impressive, and regardless of the outcome I am satisfied in all the work he has put into my case. Richard has always kept me well-informed about my case. He has always been honest and upfront about my case which I greatly appreciate. Always able to get a hold of him when I need to, always responds to all my calls and emails promptly. I just feel really lucky to have found Richard to represent me in my case. And I would like to show my appreciation by putting up this yelp review. And also helping those in need of a top-notch attorney. Which is a labor-intensive, time consuming and stressful process. His fees are really fair and competitive, Richard doesn't try to overcharge for his work, on the contrary he's always looking for ways to save me money which I really appreciated. Not only is he a really good person but he's well prepared, detail oriented and a strategists. He is someone that I can trust and have great confidence in. He always has my best interest in mind which make it easier for me rest my head at night. As I'm going through this difficult part of my life. I rested easier knowing that my case is in good hands and that he is doing everything possible for me since there is a lot at stake. Lawyers always get a bad rap but Richard is one of the good ones. All of the reviews are on point. Coming from someone that has 50/50 custody and over a decade of custody battles with multiple attorneys, Mr. Abdallah was a breath of fresh air. He's level headed, calm and direct. I dare you to call any of the "good" attorneys in Sacramento and see if you get a hold of them in a timely fashion. Most of the time your leaving a message with a paralegal or legal assistant and waiting a week or two fora response. Mr. Abdallah answers his own calls and gets back to you very quickly. I did not retain Mr. Abdallah for the big fighting in our custody disputes so I can't speak on long cause hearings etc. but he is great for what we have retained him for now. read more
