Possibly David Cupp? To this day I will always be reminded of him as the "used car salesman" of tree work. Told me multiple trees were a hazard to my home and that they had to go. Using fear as a sales tactic, he smacked the side of one tree and said it was hollow (it's not). He made false statements about how trees decay. I was not interested in just having the trees removed, but wanted an accurate assessment of their health and wanted to take a proactive approach to tree maintenance and risk mitigation. I did not believe a single word he said. I reached out to another arborist who climbed the trees and gave me an actual risk assessment of their current condition. There was some weight reduction done to reduce the risk of limb breakage. Years later, the trees are still there. It still bothers me to this day how Brown Hound approached this job.

Chad and his family-operated team do amazing work!…read more ITW was recommended to me by my neighbor, Chad (the owner) came in and did a free estimate and had me on his schedule within 10 business days. His quote was significantly less than two other businesses I had look at my tree as well. They showed up on time the day they were to start and immediately got to work taking down a huge diseased maple in my yard. It took 2 business days to take the whole tree down below grade (stump grinding included) and clean up. After all was said and done, my yard was cleaner than before they started, and every effort was made to make sure I was satisfied with the work ITW performed. I was left with some cut firewood and a huge pile of mulch (He would have hauled it all if I didn't want it). I cannot give a stronger recommendation for Chad and his team. They do great work and they are all very down-to-earth people doing what it takes to make the customer happy.

The nature of the business probably results in high turnover with employees and I know that there have been some issues, especially as they conduct their training. Mistakes are inevitable so what makes this a five star review is how they handle their mistakes. Our front door's glass panel was shattered earlier this year. When we asked the glass repairmen what caused the damage he said that it was likely a small rock being flung at the window due to lawn work being done nearby. Valley Landscaping had been working on our lawn that very morning. When we reached out, they immediate sent over a supervisor (Thomas Dolin) who was very professional. He asked us to get a couple price quotes for the work and then reimbursed us completely for the cost of the repair. Really appreciate their professionalism and kindness. Would highly recommend them to anyone!

I hired this company due to their message of social justice on their road sign. I see that it…read moreearned them many 5-star reviews on Google, so I wonder if they did it purely for marketing. TL;DR - paid a lot of money to have them show up weeks late, do a terrible job on the yard/kill plants, complained and had someone show up in my yard unannounced to poke around, then never heard from them again. Unfortunately, being supporters of social justice does not equate to ethical business practices.. I paid over $1500 to have my garden beds mulched, and not only did they show up for the service 6 weeks late (no calls in the meantime - I had to call each week for an update, and they assured me I was "next" on the list each time), they completely destroyed several plants, didn't mulch all the beds, and edged but didn't mulch several beds in the backyard (which were beds I did not want mulched, but now I'm stuck with edged beds and clumps of grass in the beds). I was assured the mulchers would know which plants were weeds and which were intentionally planted, but they cut down several newly planted and FLOWERING native plants. They also butchered my fig tree, which was FRUITING, as well as my butterfly bush which was also flowering. I had to run out and stop them from cutting back several other bushes, which I was not told was part of the service. I called them after assessing the damage, and asked them to remedy the situation, explaining the plants that were damaged/killed and the missed beds they were supposed to mulch. Some guy randomly showed up in my driveway later that day and started walking around the yard, inspecting plants. He didn't ring the doorbell or give me a call to say he was on his way over. After about 30 minutes, he left and I haven't heard from them since. I regret spending all this money for mulching and highly suggest that you do not hire them. My yard continues to recover from the damage they caused, and I have not heard any word from them since complaining several months ago.
