Did not take a history. I don't think he even read my chart or any of the paperwork I filled out prior. Did not give information regarding future care, or what I should be doing for myself. I could hear him berating other patients and staff. As a type 1 diabetic I already brace for medical professionals to be misinformed and judgemental when I step into their office, and I was still so incredibly floored by how poor his bedside manner was. Even as a regular human being this man was incredibly unkind. Dentistry is already one of the most expensive and daunting forms of medical care, especially in America. There is a huge power dynamic and at no point did I feel comforted or relieved that this man was caring for me. It was also incredibly expensive and seemed very shady. For being someone who has chosen to be a carer for people in vulnerable situations it truly seems that he takes pride in creating even more barriers for patients. I am so disgusted with this entire experience. And after reading these other reviews I am not the only one. Please do so so so much better.

I saw my new dentist.... ( my old dentist retired) he explained a few things to me about using 3 d printers and taking pictures instead of using a mold which makes impressions. my dentist told me to chuck it. as a result of the hopkins nightguard, i had to see an oral surgeon. two of my teeth front bottom were severely damaged and had to be pulled. I have to have implants and bone graft. My teeth were fine until i placed his  nightguard in my mouth. from the first time i used his nightguard, my bottom two teeth hurt. He told me they would be fine. the nightguard he made was too tight and never fit right. I went through countless adjustments. I wish i had never gone to him. I had many nightguards made for my mouth, and never once did i have these kinds of problems. It was pointed out to me, why would an oral surgeon be making nightguards. From my first encounter with Hopkin, he examined my old nightguard and said it was worn out and i needed a new one. Well, he was wrong. It wasnt worn out. And since chucking the awful one he made me, i am back using the one he said was worn out. My new dentist even said it was still good.  His office insurance person called medicare to check out my insurance. she came back and said that medicare would cover my nightguard. She said i had real good insurance.  All I can say now, is read the reviews. When someone writes a negative review ask yourself why they would spend the time if what they were saying hadnt happened.

She told me she goes go Sage Creek Family Dental. Best experience ever, the dental hygienists Linda is amazing! She was very gentle and very much aware of my anxiety about seeing a dentist. She was telling me step by step, her process. I have really bad gag reflex. So when she when she wanted to take pictures of my back molars she was very understanding. She told me to breath through my nose and that would help. It was a great experience. I've gone to other dentist and they wanted to do unnecessary procedures and the dental hygienist was not sympathetic. They would also shove the cameras down my jaw. They checked my insurance before hand to make sure what was covered. When the doctor told me I had a two cavities that needed fixing. (Which another dentist told me I needed a root canal) dr John told me it was not recommended. When they schedule for my appointment to get the cavities fixed. They checked how much out of pocket I would have to pay. So I knew exactly what was expected to pay. So no surprises at all. Other dentist tell me the amount that I would possibly pay. They told me exactly what I had to pay. When my summary statement came in. It was exactly what they told me I had to pay. So very efficient and great practice. Scheduling was great they are very flexible. They know people have jobs and they make sure they get you in and out. So you're not waiting forever in the dental chair. When they fixed my cavities they were great. They have TVs the dr talks to you, he gives you positive feedback. I absolutely dreaded going to the dentist, but now I honestly look forward to it. My teeth feel great clean. They have clean facilities and everyone is very professional. They sent me a thank you card! Which I loved that personal touch. I have a tendency to gag, so I kept pushing her hand away to get some air and wipe my wet mouth. She said if I keep pushing her hand away she will end the cleaning. Then she tells me to raise my hand if a problem occurs afterwards. I never got my teeth polished she said the machine doesn't work. She did a beautiful job cleaning my teeth and gave me a generous goody bag. Overall, the Hygienist was friendly and was knowledgeable except for that one rude incident.

Our orthodontist assured me he was referring us to one of the best in Utah -- a surgeon who performs this type of surgery multiple times a week. With ease, we scheduled our consultation and met with Dr. Stosich. My first impression? Not only does this guy have a passion for what he does, he does an EXCELLENT job at it. He is so knowledgeable, it's actually moving. He immediately made my son and me feel at ease and explained everything every step of the way. I'll always remember the day of surgery. My only child going in for jaw surgery?! I felt like I should have been more nervous, but honestly, I just felt like we were in such good hands. I remember thinking that even if a problem were to arise, my son was with the best possible surgeon to handle it. As soon as the surgery was finished, Dr. Stosich came and found me in the hospital. He told me how well everything had gone and that I would soon be able to see my son. As he walked away, I noticed him taking a moment to say hello to people he knew throughout the hospital. It was such a small thing, but it stuck with me. He is incredibly personable and just an all-around great guy. Dr. Stosich operates multiple times per week and has patients who come from all over. His passion for helping people really shows. He doesn't just perform jaw surgeries, either -- his expertise goes far beyond that. He walked me through the entire process and post-op visits, and he's a genuinely nice, easygoing person who communicates clearly and puts you at ease. His office was also very accommodating, especially considering I traveled from out of state for the surgery. This would have been a 5/5 experience, but unfortunately I ran into issues with the office handling the required paperwork for state disability benefits. Despite following up more than 15 times via email and phone and receiving multiple assurances that it would be taken care of, the paperwork was never filed, which resulted in me losing my state disability benefits (up to $1000). While the office handled my medical insurance and short-term disability insurance without issues, state disability paperwork seems to be different, and this part was not managed successfully. I feel little sorry for them because of so much paperwork they had to do for my case, and they are not used to work with different states disability benefits, but I tried my best for them providing all the neccessary information and help them to file necessary papers. From a surgical and clinical standpoint, I highly recommend Dr. Stosich. I just wish the administrative side, particularly state disability paperwork, had been handled with the same level of care. I was a bit of a special case coming from out of state, so I don't expect most patients to have issues on the administrative side.
