We have a 13-year-old daughter for whom we are considering braces. We went to three different Orthodontists in Salt Lake and Park City for quotes on getting braces and heard 3 different recommendations. One said just putting braces on would do the trick, another said our daughter may need teeth extracted before getting braces and a third mentioned something about jaw surgery. We were confused as to what to do, so we decided to go to an Oral Surgeon for an objective opinion. We scheduled a consultation with Dr. Stosich to see what he recommends. I was impressed at how professional and thorough the examination was. In addition to the X-rays taken, Dr. Stosich had several assistants in the room while he took various measurements of her facial structure, jaw alignment and features. He then spent quite a bit of time talking with our daughter about her family history, what she likes and doesn't like about her facial features and her overall goal in getting braces. The Doctor then showed us a computer generated image of her profile based on the x-rays and measurements on a large screen so we could visualize what her jaw structure looked like now and what the outcome of the various recommendations would look like. Dr. Stosich reviewed each of the 3 recommendations made by the other Orthodontists and explained what they would do and what the outcome would look like. We liked the fact that even though he is an Oral Surgeon specializing in jaw surgery, he did not push it as the only option but instead gave us pros and cons of each option for us to decide for ourselves what the best course of action would be. We do like the fact that jaw surgery can be covered buy insurance and it does produce lasting, long-term results than simply braces alone. And not to mention, corrective jaw surgery has the added benefit of minimizing snoring later down the road, as it runs in the family. Overall, I would highly recommend a consultation with an Oral Surgeon before getting braces for your child if he or she has a large overbite. You are investing in your child's future and he or she will have that smile forever, so you might as well do it right the first time. We haven't decided on our final course of action yet, so we will keep you posted and write a follow-up to this soon.

He walked me through the entire process and post-op visits, and he's a genuinely nice, easygoing person who communicates clearly and puts you at ease. His office was also very accommodating, especially considering I traveled from out of state for the surgery. This would have been a 5/5 experience, but unfortunately I ran into issues with the office handling the required paperwork for state disability benefits. Despite following up more than 15 times via email and phone and receiving multiple assurances that it would be taken care of, the paperwork was never filed, which resulted in me losing my state disability benefits (up to $1000). While the office handled my medical insurance and short-term disability insurance without issues, state disability paperwork seems to be different, and this part was not managed successfully. I feel little sorry for them because of so much paperwork they had to do for my case, and they are not used to work with different states disability benefits, but I tried my best for them providing all the neccessary information and help them to file necessary papers. From a surgical and clinical standpoint, I highly recommend Dr. Stosich. I just wish the administrative side, particularly state disability paperwork, had been handled with the same level of care. I was a bit of a special case coming from out of state, so I don't expect most patients to have issues on the administrative side.

I have been taking the entire family to Dr. Walker for several years now and we all enjoy going to…read morehim. He office is pleasant and the people are great. He answers all my questions and never talks down to me. I recommend them for the whole family. I have been through several dentists over the years and found one that works great for me. I cannot recommend them enough. I'm not sure what these other reviewers are talking about. But to give 1 star because your office won't let you back out of an appointment isn't their fault, it's yours. If you want whit fillings then request white fillings.

The worst dentist I've ever been to. They didn't even ask if I wanted silver or white fillings and…read morejust gave me silver. They never told me what was going on ever. I went home and could see the silver filling and asked them to replace it with white since they never asked me and they did. They also did an awful job on my root canal. It hurt afterwards for way too long and when I went to a different dentist they had to fix it. Every appointment I had before that they kept telling me I had more cavities and I would have to come back and fill them. I never left that dentist without them telling me that they found more cavities and I would have to come back. After about the third time I thought something was strange so I went somewhere else. The new dentist (cottonwood family dental, which has great reviews) said that I had zero cavities (and they were the ones that fixed my root canal). This was after dr Walker told me I had four cavities I needed to fill! I don't trust them and would highly encourage everyone to go somewhere else.
