This is like a wisdom teeth removal assembly line. Tons of people going back and emerging 30 minutes later in a wheelchair in the hall, being taken down the elevator. It seems efficient, and the price is pretty affordable with or without insurance. They don't offer any financing if that's what you need, they only take care credit which is basically a credit card for health stuff. I think it's around $1000 total, which includes sedation, X-rays and the exam. You can get the exam/consult and removal done in the same day- no need for multiple appointments. The dentist doing the removal was super nice and will tell you like it is. They give thorough aftercare instructions to the person taking the patient home and send you with a pack of prescriptions for pain meds and gauze. Long wait time between appt time and actually going back, but once they had my sister in the surgery room it was a half hour until she was in the car and headed home. I liked how they brought the patients out a secret back exit so they weren't paraded through the lobby, and they deliver them to a loading zone on the south side of the building and help them get into the car. read more

I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday and was so incredibly nervous. I considered cancelling at least five times. But from the receptionist to the guy who brought me to my car they were just amazing! They answered every single question I had, I'm not in too much pain, and the IV was super easy (I have a huge fear of needles and I'm so grateful). They gave us a number to text with any questions and the answered my text really fast. Dr. Hendrickson and his team are rockstars! I am a RN and am very critical of quality of care. This office runs like a well oiled machine. Grand-daughter #1, we did have a long (1 1/2 hour) wait. Her extractions went smoothly with very little swelling. Grand-daughter #2, was very, very anxious and Dr. Hendrickson calmed her right down. Her extractions (that two oral surgeons refused to do) went beautifully and she has no swelling. Both grand-daughters were down to minimal Ibuprofen/Tylenol by the third day. I highly recommend this extremely skillful team. Also, the awesome service was a bargain. I am so grateful for the kind and expert care they provide. read more

I think how well you will like Dr. Hendrickson depends on what you are looking for. There is no denying that Dr. Hendrickson is one of the most experienced wisdom teeth doctors out there, and that you are very safe in his hands. I saw one reviewer referred to the office at a "wisdom teeth removal assembly line" and I couldn't agree more. That being said, I didn't love my experience and here is why: First, I felt like a number there. He didn't remember my name despite having met me several times previously. And I'm pretty sure he forgot it as soon as I told him. Secondly, they seem very rushed. I was very nervous before my surgery and needed a little extra time to calm down. The entire staff seemed annoyed that I was taking 1-2 minutes to myself and it was clear I was interrupting their "assembly line" Finally, they bedside manner was terrible. Several weeks before the appointment I met with Dr. Hendrickson for a consultation, while he answered some of my questions, most of my concerns were with the sedation and I asked to speak to the anesthesiologist. I was told that wasn't possible and even when I offered to come back and reschedule a specific appointment to see him, they wouldn't let me do it. Now I somewhat understand why, the anesthesiologist was the most condescending man I've ever met. I was crying before he put my IV in and he actually said "you women always get so emotional" not only was it extremely sexist but it made me feel guilty for being nervous which was 100% not okay. So bottom line: if you just want your teeth out quickly and don't need extra care, I'd recommend Dr. Hendrickson, but if you want to be treated with compassion, patience, and real care, find somewhere else. read more

I am 46 years old and was warned it might take a little longer to recover. EVERYTHING ran smooth - no complications. I would recommend Dr. Hendrickson at Wisdom Teeth Only. This is my second child who has gone to him. The office is not fancy and looks and feels old. But the staff is friendly and very helpful. Both of my children have healed quickly with minimal pain. They give clear directions that are easy to follow after the procedure. Wow, I can't say enough good things about our experience at Wisdom Teeth Only! In fact, I was so impressed that I joined yelp to give my first review ever. From the time I called for an appointment to now (1 week post-op) our experiennce has been wonderful! The staff was friendly and kind and Dr. Hendrickson was knowledgable and professional. He made us feel comfortable and answered every question I had. His office was clean and well maintained. We were there for just over an hour total and I appreciated that they did his consult and x-rays on the day of surgery. The information/instruction sheet they provided made me completely comfortable with what to expect after and I was impressed that they gave me an emergency number for any concerns or complications after surgery. Without dental insurance I found that their cash price was great, less than a few other offices. I would have gladly paid more. It's hard to find good old fashoined Customer Care and that's exactly what we got at Wisdom Teeth Only. I would highly reccomemded them and will be taking my other sons there when it's time to get their wisdom teeth removed. Thanks for the FANTASTIC SERVICE! read more

This office & DDS deserve zero stars. Please stay away from Dr. Hendrickson if you want quality care of your loved one. First of all, he is not an oral surgeon & I don't believe he is qualified to handle more than the simplest of wisdom teeth removals. You are definitely only a number in his grand plan to remove 500K wisdom teeth! My son had 3 wisdom teeth removed. Three nights later, I contacted the after hour number for post-surgical care because my son was having a lot of pain on the left side. The sheet states they will not call you back after 10pm or before 9am. WHAT??? You should be able to contact the Dr. who performed oral surgery on you if you have complications! I called at 9pm & still did not receive a call back before 10pm. The assistant called me the next morning & said she was sorry - she fell asleep & did not see my message. I took my son to the office on day 4, and only the assistant saw him. She said she thought it was a dry socket & packed it with dissolvable sponges soaked in clove oil. This would have been fine, except she went back into the container of sponges with the forceps she had just used to place a sponge in my son's mouth!! Totally unprofessional! I wondered how many times she had done that with other patients. I was praying my dealings with this office would be complete. However, nearly 2 weeks after his removal of teeth, my son had puffiness in his right cheek, & he was feeling a lot of pressure. After calling the after hour number, the assistant said I could bring him in, & the doctor would be there to evaluate him. Well, the doctor never even looked at him. The ASSISTANT made a small slit in my son's mouth for pus to drain out! I am fairly certain this is out of the scope of practice for an assistant! The next day, my son had another bulging area, so I took him elsewhere to ASPIRE Surgical. They were kind enough to fit us in the same day & take excellent care of my son. I wish I had never taken him to Wisdom Teeth Only. You see a revolving door of patients in the waiting room. I do not believe they take the time to remove the wisdom teeth appropriately, let alone clean in between patients. The place just seems dirty. If you do have any complications, you will never see the doctor. He did not even have the courtesy to see me after my son's surgery. The care you receive is absolutely unprofessional and horrible. I warn you not to utilize this practice at all. read more
