My daughter was part of the showcase last year, and it was such an amazing experience. Everything was so beautifully done, organized, and professional, and seeing her up on stage was so special! Becky is absolutely wonderful, and we have loved every teacher we've had. They are so patient, encouraging, kind, and genuinely care about the kids. My daughter looks forward to going to ballet every week, and I love seeing how much her confidence has grown along with everything she is learning. The owner is also incredibly sweet, professional, welcoming, and always so polite. You can tell how much love and effort goes into the studio and creating a positive experience for both the dancers and their families. We felt welcomed from the very beginning, and after two years, I can confidently say we've found our forever dance studio! We are so happy to be part of the Stage Door family and can't recommend them enough!

I took my daughter (5) to try out their jazz and tap class. I initially called asking for a hip hop…read moreclass, because that's what she wants to do. I was told they didn't offer that until age 8, only to find out when we were there that they DO have a hip hop class for that age group, but it's for boys only. When I walked in, the owner was not very friendly. The entire establishment was completely unorganized. I called the owner shortly after leaving asking about the hip hop class, not understanding why the boys can do ballet, tap and jazz, but why my daughter couldn't join the hip hop class. I understand it is her establishment and she can do what she pleases with it. But I, personally found it very sexist. She was rude, unprofessional and dismissive. Needless to say my daughter will not be attending the dance classes.

My son…read morewas "kicked out" after only 2 days of being at the preschool from essentially acting like a normal 3 year old. Yes, 3 year old kids can be nightmares (and mine is no exception), but receiving a TEXT from the teacher saying he couldn't return after only 2 days seems absurd. I asked her if he could have another chance. NO. I asked if I could observe the class and his behavior. NO. I asked if there was anything else I could do because I had to work from home and I depended on those 3 hours to get work done. NO. My experience with the school was entirely unprofessional and disappointing. There was ABSOLUTELY clear favoritism shown to some students versus others when I would drop off and pick up, which was very frustrating to see. A side note: Children often act out when they feel uncomfortable or unsafe in a situation. Obviously I wasn't there during the class, but I think that is something to think about when choosing a preschool for your own child.
