They are very polite and make an effort with their customers. I even had one lady read a book to my daughter as they were quiet when I looking. They also stock Thorntons chocolates and have quite a collection that you can purchase. They keep up to date with any events that are happening in the year so at the moment it is Valentine's chocolates. A great shop to visit for gifts of book and/or chocolates.

It's a beautiful book shop on the high street of Ely with friendly staff willing and able to offer their expertise and advice. This book shop is a treasure and you could spend hours immersed in the mountain of books available and what's more, they will even offer you hot beverages whilst you shop or read. I am very partial to taking trips to Topping & Co just for the pure pleasure of how worldly I feel when I enter, not to mention the scent of new books which I just love. This has to be one of my favourite book shops around Cambridgeshire, without a doubt!
