Very disappointed. Lack of proper follow up after MOHs surgery including bad information.

Dr. Taylor's surgical skills are fine, but the aftercare at AD is terrible. Within a couple days of a Mohs procedure I was on crutches and developed an infection. I tried to see Dr. Taylor for a follow-up but he sent a young woman in to examine the wound and she told me it looked fine. He never came in to look at it. I ended up seeing a wound specialist for nearly three months with placenta graft treatments. That doc told me the aftercare Dr. Taylor prescribed (Aquifor) was mostly useless. I'd get a second opinion before letting AD treat you. read more

Repeatedly terrible service from Dr. Pauline Reohr. She is uncaring, unkind and uncommunicative. On my yearly check up recently, she asked what I needed instead of examining me. She did not do a full body scan as was previously scheduled. I had to point out each spot of concern to her and asked her to look at the places I could not see Which she seemed put out by. In the past, she also seemed rude and uncaring, and I will not go back to see her again. I have had excellent experiences with Dr. Drew Taylor,, including follow up and him giving me his cell phone number to contact him with any questions. I am very hesitant to go back to this practice and definitely will not seeDr. Reohr again. read more

I was hesitant to leave this review, but honestly, for the amount I paid, I think it's only fair to share my experience. I made an appointment to get my skin checked out--I've been dealing with some acne, and I also had a small spot on my cheek that I was a bit concerned about and wanted looked at more carefully. The whole visit lasted maybe five minutes, tops. The doctor barely looked at my skin, no detailed exam, no tools or machines--just a quick glance while we were talking. She immediately said, "Yeah, you have acne," and prescribed tretinoin along with another medication I'd already refused from a previous doctor. It felt like a super generic, cookie-cutter approach without taking the time to understand my specific situation or listen to my concerns. I ended up paying $300 for what didn't feel like a real consultation. The spot I was most concerned about wasn't examined at all, and I walked out feeling like nothing was truly addressed. When I opened Yelp to write this, I saw a bunch of negative reviews--which honestly doesn't surprise me now. read more

I canceled an Ellacor procedure with more than 24 hours notice and have been told that they will not refund my prepaid $4,000. During my consultation, Dr. Taylor was super excited about using his new laser. Immediately after the consultation, I was requested to schedule the appointment, and then I was told that I was required to pay in advance (I should have known not to do this)! It was much like the time-share high-pressure sale. When I got home, I researched Ellacor and found negative reviews and several people who suffered extreme permanent skin damage. No doctor's office should charge in advance, and no doctor's office should keep the money for a canceled procedure. When I took my daughter to this office for Accutane, our appointments were used with Dr. Rehor. We could never get any answers on the phone, no return calls, and she has a terrible bedside manner. This office is all about the profits. Go elsewhere for patient care. read more

Got an under eye light filler done because mine were pretty tired. It's been over a month and one is still super swollen. It felt differently than the second side. Instead of fixing it, they sent me a bill for an additional $200 for asking about how my skin is red. It was done improperly for a ridiculous amount and now I have to walk around with a swollen bag for the next year. This happens when they do not get the fluid under the muscle. They do not. On time and having waited 25 minutes until I was the only one left in the waiting area, at my request the receptionist checked with the dermatologist Claire Mann, and came back to say it would be "just ten more minutes." I explained that I was going to run a quick errand a few doors away and would be back in ten minutes, as she had estimated. In that way I could try and get back on "my" schedule. A few minutes later that receptionist calls me to say that "the doctor is ready for you right now. So, I can fit you in about 40 minutes from now. Will that work?" No. I return to show the receptionist my phone, which shows I have one more minute until my expected ten minutes is up. She looks up shocked to see me, the fact I was showing her the clock on my phone showing I was indeed on time for a second time within an hour.... No words of apology. Just mine. "I apologized that I couldn't be a better patient." She accepted my apology with a nod. I turned and left. read more

I had juvederm fillers done by Dr. Taylor. I ended up with lumps and bumps at the injection sites. This procedures where done December 2021 and 9 month later I still have lumps at the injection sites. I requested to have this looked at several times but was denied follow up by the office manager Jennifer and no response from Taylor. In addition I ended up with 2 root canals shortly after he injected filler under my eyes. My dental office could only explain this due to blunt force trauma to my eye socket. I will never set foot in this office and advice everyone to not use this facility. read more

Absolutely the worst practice I have ever experience. Had nail fungus which was diagnosed by them last year and received prescription. Did not work at all. Went back for another round. After $200 doctor visit and $354 for two pathologists (one to prepare a slide and one to view - very complicated process), it was discovered that it was a fungus. And they consider this a doctor's office. Save yourself a ton of money and find a real dermatology practice that will not rip you off. read more

My husband and I both visited this practice on separate occasions, both of us suffering from a related issue, and both ended up seeing Dr. Roehr. We have never met a more rude, arrogant health care professional. To make matters worse, I had handed the front desk my insurance card upon arriving, the lady took it and my ID, handed them both back and said I was good to go. As I was walking out of the appointment, she stops me and says they don't take my insurance. I would not have even kept the appointment if I had known this prior, and was even more upset given the professionalism of the doctor I saw. read more

A year ago, I tried Aspen Dermatology in Glenwood Springs and was very happy with my annual skin check up-that is not what this review is about. They suggested I go get a laser treatment in willits -there was a sale going on as long as I booked in the next week, I could go anytime so I called. I am a teacher so I save up for things like this. I had the laser a month later and when I went to pay it was full price which was almost $150 more than I had budgeted. They told me at the front desk that I had to give my credit card and pay at the time I made the appointment to get the sale price. I told them no one told me that and I could have easily done that. This person at the desk had zero sympathy for my situation. I explained my situation again and told her I would have never made an appointment if it was full price...nope no budging. I gave her my credit card as frustrated tears ran down my face. NEVER will I give this place my business. I also have told all my friends about my experience and have referred them to Lifestyle Laser in Glenwood which is more than half the price and twice the professionalism. read more

Dr. Taylor was very helpful and kind! He did a good job on my mole removal, and even check with me for a follow up coz he wanted to make sure that my scar is is perfectly neat. And! Very disappointed lately. I understand they've just lost one of their docs, however the service has gone down hill significantly lately. I had an appt and needed a follow up. They "squeezed me in", with a specific appt time. After waiting over a half hour, I asked when I would be seen. I was told another 20 min. So I left. I then called twice to reschedule, was told I would get a call back, never did. For the price of the services, I'd expect a return call. Looks like I'll be looking for another provider. read more

Aboslutely dreadful patient experience. Doctor Pauline roers was disinclined to listen to me from the beginning. When I explained to her that I need to be put on spironolactone for my sebboreic dermatitis (which I was previously diagnosed with by two other docs...) I could read on her face that she did not take me seriously (even though I've been prescribed spironolactone by another dermatologist for this condition in the past.) She denied I had dermatitis in the first place after examining my scalp & endlessly pestered me about my shampooing routine even after I had explained that I wash my hair regularly & have changed my shampoo multiple times because of this condition. She refused to prescribe me the meds I knew I needed and treated me like a child who did not have an extensive experience with her own problem. She spoke to me as if I'd made the whole thing up & had no lived knowledge of the correlation b/t the condition of my hair & my dermatitis/hormonal imbalance. I felt condescended to, disrespected, and invalidated. Do not spend your money here. read more

I recently had a Fraxel treatment by Alison at Aspen Dermatology. I was nervous about the procedure, but from the moment I walked in I was made to feel at ease. The numbing cream worked quite well and during the entire procedure Allison was checking with me to see how I was doing. She explained everything during the treatment and I couldn't be more pleased. This business is responsible for telling clients if they have melanoma or any other important skin issues. Therefore, it's very disappointing to have such poor communication between the front desk & the nurses. I was told I had a very concerning mole,so I paid out of pocket to have it removed. Was told it cud take up to 2 weeks for results. 8 days rolls around & I just call to see if my results are in. All I get is "it can take up to 2 weeks." 15 days goes by & still no phone call. I go inside clinic where the old lady on right at desk isn't friendly at all. I have her confirm my # & it is correct. She gets a nurse to speak with me. "Maggie we have been trying to reach u but ur number is wrong." Lack of communication between desk & nurses is ridiculous. My number at the desk was correct but my info had never been updated by the nurses in their iPads. So maybe the front desk shud be responsible for contacting the patients if they have the updated info. Poorly organized & unfriendly front desk (woman who sits on right when u walk in). read more

Do not go! Unprofessional and inappropriate billing. It took 2 months to get an appt with Dr Taylor (after I had already seen his wife for my annual skin check). I was clear with the services I wanted to book; spider veins, cherry spots and one freckle that had become itchy since I had seen his wife. The spider veins treatment did not work. I have been having this procedure every 2 years for over 25 years and this is the first time it has not worked. The cherry spots at first he refused to do saying no time as he was only "booked" for 15 mins. Vein treatments for 2 full legs are usually longer than 15 mins. I reminded them I had waited a long time for the appt and I was clear in my needs. He treated a few, maybe 6 very hurriedly? I have many more cherry spots he could have removed. I asked about the itchy freckle that had developed since his wife had done my annual. He said it was fine. I was shocked at the bill $650 both because I had been rushed out and I have great experience for the costs of these procedures from NY and LA. I commented on the expense, especially as he appeared to use less vein syringes that I have experienced and clearly was rushed with the cherry spots but happy to charge the most I ever been charged for the least amount treated. I was upset after a few weeks to see the veins had not dissolved and called to ask for to be seen. I was told it would take months to get back into Dr Taylor (wouldn't that mean he could claim they were new veins?). Matters only got worse; a few weeks later the office is chasing me up for "the office visit charge" they had not mentioned at check out. They told me they had tried to bill my insurance company, who had rejected it as like I had told Dr Taylor, his wife had recently done my annual skin cancer check. A lady from the office at first assured me that if my health insurance had denied it (the office had a procedure of seeing if my deductible had been met they could get the extra money) I would not be charged for this bogus "office visit". Later the office changed their mind and is chasing me up for $215 claiming I had asked for a skin cancer check. I had not, I am incredibly sure of my memory. I said I did need a skin cancer check as it is only one freckle and I was told you would look at the freckle whilst I had my cosmetic services. Yes I had few clothes on for the veins and cherry spots but he did not do the usual "skin cancer" check like your scalp or feet and the parts of my body that were still dressed. Because I only wanted the freckle on my arm re-checked there were no red flags for me that he was trying to uncharge by adding an "office visit for another annual skin cancer check". On principle because first they tried to bilk the insurance company and now myself I will not pay this false charge. On top of that the veins were never repeated, so I basically paid $650 for a few cherry spots to be zapped and now have a credit agency harassing me for the trumped up charges. Do not go to this dermatologist. They will under serve, over charge and will not even be honest about it. There are plenty of other reputable dermatologists in the valley. read more
