I was horrified! He told me I would need a special implant but "not to be scared." His implant patents hung on the walls around us in his office. I asked him what would happen if I didn't get it removed and he said my front tooth would die and turn a different color. I went home and cried for days. Cut to two weeks later when I got a second opinion. The second opinion dentist took a boat load of x rays but could not find any sort of "crack" in my front tooth - and certainly nothing to warrant removing it!!! Almost ten years later, there is still nothing wrong with my front tooth and it's not discolored or dead. A few years after this I realized I clench my teeth, got a night guard, and have never had pain again. Make no mistake people, this guy would've removed my perfectly healthy front tooth at the age of 22 only to be replaced by an expensive implant not covered by insurance. If you value your teeth, do not go here! This is unethical and this guy should be out of business.

One, I'm an adult with a child size mouth. I need kid size accessories when getting x rays and what not. First time I got xrays I told them this information but they just had to see for themselves and attempted to jam the big adult sized thing in my mouth. Lots of gagging and tears by now. Now there's a note in my file for the small one. I've only seen the actual dentist like three times bc he's always busy or has stepped out when I'm done with my cleaning. It use to bother me but then I realized they don't charge me for an exam and it saves me money so whatever. There's a bunch of nice young ladies working there and a grouchy older woman who doesn't take any shit which is fine but when I'm telling you about my issues with my peculiar teeth grinding and you assume you know what's going on and proceed to tell the Dr, in front of me, incorrectly what I described, is infuriating! When I move away, I won't make the drive to come back here but they been convenient. When I got home I was shocked to see that my gumline had noticeably receded and it took weeks to gradually go back to normal. I was scared it was ruined forever and it left me feeling very sick to my stomach. I never went back. Let me also say they kept telling me that I needed to have all 4 wisdom teeth pulled immediately. Guess what? It's 9 years later and all 4 wisdom teeth have grown in with absolutely no problems. Several friends recommended Raynor, so we decided to give Storrs Family Dentistry a try. It was a complete success. The lobby is a bit informal and New England shabby, but it is very family friendly.
