I've had 6 surgeries with Dr Michael Locke within the past year . I had two sinus lifts , two bone grafts , and four implant studs on right side , and four implant studs on left side . I am currently entering my 6 month healing for my last four implants that was placed yesterday . Every surgery went well and just like he told me . He has great bedside manners and very family oriented. He makes me and my family feel like we are right at home . As other reviews have said, he runs behind , but I do not want a surgeon that rushes through my surgery and I don't expect him to rush through anyone else. I respect that . He has always took time to explain things where myself and my family can understand everything about diagnosis and prognosis . He does not speak in terms that only medical professionals understand . They might not be the fanciest in the area, but I've never felt like they did me wrong and the dental work has lasted. IMHO avoid "Woods & Glick" ;-) . I took all of my kids there as children and all of the fillings that were completed there fell out before the baby teeth did. Moved them to Wild About Smiles & had no more problems.

But honestly, the bedside manner and professionalism of the doctor he saw shocked me. I've seen lots of difficult patients in my life, but never reacted to nor seen another medical professional treat or speak to a patient like this dentist did my son. He got scared, and the dentist, mid injection, said, we're not doing this today and slammed his syringe down and huffed off, leaving the room: no apology, no explaination, no plan, nothing. It was very strange. The tech offered an antibiotic, even thought they both said there was no infection. But they left my boy mid-extraction, numb, with no communication other than, we're not going to be your dentist. I have fired and declined to see patients before, but this came out of the blue, a complete overreaction to a special needs kid who was scared. I'm hoping we'll receive an apology or an explanation. And a doctor yelling at a patient out loud in the waiting room is unacceptable, and a borderline HIPAA violation. If I were this dentist or his office staff, I'd be embarrassed and ashamed. Please do better, especially with special needs individuals. If we don't hear from them, I'll file a complaint with Medicaide. He said, out loud, that we wouldn't be charged, and we were no longer considered patients of his, but that's not the point. Today 9:/24/25 my daughter was scheduled for dental cleaning . we long story short the older lady…read morereceptionist behind the counter was super rude and told me my daughter couldn't be seen because we was late getting the paperwork done prior to her appt pretty much . now remind you I was on the very last sheet of paper of there forms to sign and she proceeded to tell me everything checked out well with her insurance becouse this was also not only her first visit ever visiting there office as well for a dental cleaning possisble fill ins . my daughter is 13 and of course we had to check out of school early for her appt and we did get there right on time we wasn't late but 5 minutes of our scheduled appt and I have to drive about 15 miles to apt and it was a raining yucky day with weather condition . fact is my daughter didn't get to be seen for cleaning for the lady being so petty about paperwork not being finished when she called me up to approach me infront of the entire waiting room full of people to ask myself the parent of Emily not even the patient if you are following me to ask when I could pay a old past due bill from when I had been in there office back 10 yrs ago and the amount $ 56 yall !! My 3 adult children and I have been patients here for over a decade. In that time I can't remember…read morea single complaint other than wait times, which admittedly aren't always avoidable. Today I left work early and showed up 10 minutes before my 6 month cleaning and was told I would have to reschedule since I did not confirm my appointment. Cancelling an appointment I've had for 6 months because I did not click confirm on the single email that was sent out is unacceptable. I didn't open the email because the appointment was already on my calendar and I did not require a reminder. I understand no-shows cost you money, but transferring that cost to those of us who keep our appointments is not the answer. My family and I will not be returning. I would urge you to reconsider this policy.
