My dental cleaning got cancelled because they don't have a hygienist. I tried rescheduling this appointment twice already. They called me back later the same day the first time for me to come in that day but I was working. I called again another day to reschedule and they never got back to me. When I walked into the office she said "oh they didn't call you?" No I never got a phone call to reschedule or confirm anything. "Well we don't have a hygienist and if we reschedule I'm not guaranteed we will have one for that visit either." And I have issues trying to pay them. They're always closed or at lunch when I come. When I'm on my lunch or on an off day. They close more than an hour earlier than they're supposed to. Nothing is ever right. My bill is supposed to be $130-$150. And it should have been lower because when I actually got my work done on my teeth the cost of everything was actually lower than what was signed off. But when I have to physically come in to the office pay when they're never there. I have to always pay $200 for some reason. That makes no sense. And all they tell me is to call the credit people which I got through my dental office. Make it make sense. Every time I come in there's an issue or a problem. Always from their side. read more

If I could give zero stars I would this is the most unprofessional under staffed non informational place dentist office I've ever been in. The first visit was a red flag should've known it was a no go when one of the employees came to another employee trying to tell her what to do as if she didn't know her job. Then I was told to come back the next day for a tooth extraction but was told they couldn't due to me not being cleared by my obgyn cause of my pregnancy when asked why not tell me this before I came I could've gotten a note they all were looking clueless told me to get one faxed over , I got one sent over clearing me just for them to say they can't cause my appointment was approximately 30 mins in smh I just told them to refund me my money and I'll never ever come back ! I will say i had a previous good experience with this office. This time i have a tooth causing me pain and try to make an online appointment but an existing customer can't do that. So i was in the area and swung by the office to make an appointment. The receptionist says you can't do it in person you have to call this number. I replied that is the number to this office and she said yes pick option 1. So I go outside call the number(no option 1btw) and watch the same lady make the appointment with me over the phone. I am like why couldn't you make the appointment while i was standing in front of you it still makes no sense. On top of that i am in pain an my appointment is 8 days away. read more

From Nicole to Bri, to Stephanie, to Mikayla, etc..all of those ladies (along with the others I didn't name because I'm super horrible with names but can always remember a face!) are absolutely amazing!!! They're extremely knowledgeable, kind, and they always have the best suggestions and the most helpful advice after a service has been completed. The way they break things down to my husband and I is absolutely amazing and one of the many reasons we love going there all the way from Hampton (yes, there's an Aspen in Hampton, but we prefer this location because of them). ASPEN DENTAL IS A FRAUD: CONFIRMED Aspen Dental (Suffolk Main Street) hours of operation and telephone number on the internet are incorrect. That same lack of attention to detail is what I experienced at this practice. They also billed me for a basic exam without even submitting claim to insurance. Insurance company had to call them to find out they had wrong address. The incompetence (not filing claims appropriately and billing customers for services covered), laziness (never answering phones), lack of integrity (wrong diagnosis) at Aspen Dental is appalling!!! Aspen Dental does not answer their phones EVER! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Aspen Dental are only concerned with profit, by offering services not needed. Also, the entire experience lacked personal service. I have received two other professional opinions confirming Aspen Dental gave me a WRONG DIAGNOSIS AND ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE ME OVER $2000 FOR A SERVICE NOT NEEDED!!! I also have access to Dental care via the government to further confirm any and all opinions. After submitting my review on another website and walking away without any intention of looking back, I noticed that I was not the only one with similar complaints! To all clients that are informed they have periodontal desease (or any other condition), get another opinion(s)!!! Do not let this place charge you an excessive amount for any procedure! This is what they do! I thought it was just me....until I started reading their reviews! Disgusting clinic! THREE MONTHS after my appointment, I receive a bill for a basic exam and radiographs. They are so butt hurt about this review, they are taking reprisal against me. Insurance confirmed I am 100% covered for the visit and they never submitted a claim!!! Aspen Dental is a FRAUD and UNPROFESSIONAL business. Additionally, reaching a person that will answer the phone is nearly impossible once you are a patient, as they are only concerned with getting new patients in, and leaving messages requesting a call back was unsuccessful. I was initially delighted with Aspen Dental. We had moved to the area recently and I had not yet registered with a dentist, so when a tooth broke the day before a trip to Europe on March 28 I was very pleased to get an emergency appointment. The doctor did a good but temporary repair and told me I need to have the tooth crowned. I paid half the cost of the crown ($798.40, which included the cost of the repair) and made an appointment for the crown prep for May 2. I received emails and texts on May 1 confirming the appointment. I drove from Virginia Beach, to find a handwritten note taped to the door stating that their systems were down and no staff were present! I had no communication beforehand, and every time I called the office number that day my call went to a central switchboard with a recorded message and no opportunity to leave a voicemail. Eventually I spoke to the only member of staff who appeared to be present, and she promised that someone would be contacting me to reschedule. An 80 mile round trip for nothing! I have never been contacted to reschedule, and every one of the many phone calls I have made has gone straight to voicemail. No-one has returned my call despite requests to do so. I am appalled at the poor service and lack of communication, and intend to find another dentist to make my crown. I would appreciate a refund of the money I had already paid up front for service I never received. I only had two appointments and owe like $3k and that's WITH insurance and they barely did anything those two appointments that I did have. Very frustrating and do not recommend them because you'll pay way more money than it's worth and insurance apparently doesn't do much. read more

I went to Aspen Dental in 1930 N. Main St, Suffolk Va location last February 10 just to get my crown reattached but the dentist I saw said he can't just glue them back but he can put a new post and new crown and also put in a bridge for the other three teeth. When I spoke with the office manager to find out how much will be the damage she said it will be more than $4,000 so I asked if they do financing and she took my information but didn't tell me she was applying for a credit card on my behalf. She then said I was approved and gave me a March appointment to start the treatment which I canceled cause we moved. I later got a bill from the credit card company so I called them and told them that I never had any treatment done but I guess when she applied for the card the money already went to Aspen Dental and I was told I that my claim was denied cause the card company was told by Aspen that I authorized it but I never have any treatment done. This Aspen Dental wants to make money even if they didn't provide any service or treatment so it's fraud. I will never recommend this dental company to anyone I do wish they go out of business and I'm not the only victim of such fraudulent dealings with this company just look at the complains by people on their corporate site for different locations of Aspen read more

For the second time in my history with Aspen Dental I arrived for an appt and was informed that the Hygienist does not work on Mondays. I received a txt msg on 6/28 stating that an appt needed to be rescheduled and to call the office. I called 4 times during office hours and it went to voicemail each time, and I left a msg stating the msg to reschedule and gave my name and phone number. I called on 6/29, 7/1, 7/8, and 7/13. Never received a call back. I received an email last week and yesterday confirming my appointment. This is a waste of my time, money, and gas coming to the office only to be informed the appt was not valid! I did reschedule but am seriously considering finding another Dentist! read more

My husband and I moved back to the area recently and when it was time to find a dentist I wanted one close by our home. Aspen was one of the practices I called and I was able to set up appointments for what I thought was routine cleanings. We waited 3 months which was no big deal but the day of my husbands appt they spent the first hour taking x-rays and quoting him for their Invisalign service. He then was placed into a waiting room where the dentist came in to speak with him about some other issues and items that would not be covered under insurance totaling $3000+. he STILL after an hour and a half not had a cleaning which was the whole reason behind the appt. They aggressively recommended he take care of all of the listed issues before they could put him on a "care plan" to get a cleaning. After my husband told me what happened I immediately called and cancelled my appt . My advise for Aspen Dental is to treat your clients first for what they came in for and try your sales pitch afterwards. We will not be putting our dental care in your greedy hands! peace! read more
