My husband went in for toothache. Needed simple extraction. Had $1300. In insurance. They took X-rays and charged $189.00 cash from us, and said he needed over $3,000. Us having to pay out of pocket outrageous amounts. One of the services on the list was a deep cleaning. Said it would be out of pocket and my insurance didn't pay. They tried to pressure me into " signing up" for all sorts of dental work and a total restoration of my mouth for 15, 000 to 24,000 dollars. Claimed most of my teeth need pulled. And at first they participated in my insurance and then they did not. I visited for one cracked tooth. They are drumming up business, not caring for people. They tried to pressure me into signing up for financing. They initially recorded the financial visit and when I started to express disinterest she cut off the recording and suddenly they didn't take my insurance. It's a scam do not go. The mask the money grubbing scam with terms like " treatment plans" I put down my income as zero and was still given a payment option of 54 dollars a week for 3200 dollars The hygienist was abrupt and punctured my gums with her tool. Her attitude was awful. The dentist was ok but I think she only knows how to pull teeth and do implants not save teeth. I do not know how they sleep at night doing highway robbers of people who need dental care. read more

i will start by saying i love my dentures and implants are working so far. i love the staff and the dentist. the billing and the insurance filing is terrible. i paid everything that i was supposed to on my contract and they are saying i still owe almost 3,000.00 dollars. i sent in proof of all my payment and the corporate billing is still saying i owe that amount. i will be taking them to court if anyone wants to join in let me know! enough is enough with this type of unprofessional billing practices, this is stealing and they will not get any more ofmy money until it is done in court. read more

Wow so I have talked up Aspen to folks since I went to their Lincolnton location and had great service but this Shelby location is a no go! Wife made an appointment and it was confirmed for them to tell her at the office /appointment that since when they called no one answered they canceled the appointment????? Why even have appointments on your site as a thing? When you send a confirmation to a patient that is you saying yes we booked this and see you then not hey we need to call you a few days before your appointment so we can scam your insurance company! I am sooo upset over this. I still have work I need done but I will have to look else where for a dentist to finish the work that was started! This office and the doctors are great! Been going for quite some time and they really have got a great staff. Doctors are nice and knowledgeable. I feel comfortable there with an all female staff and the doctors explain everything in detail. i greatly recommend !!! read more

The staff is friendly, the dentists seem competent but it is very difficult to get anyone to call you back to discuss billing and insurance matters, nor do they seem to file insurance claims correctly. As the patient is responsible for the charge if rejected by insurance, this is obviously a serious concern anyone should have when choosing a dental practice. I also discovered they filed my claim for more than double the amount I was quoted and I can't get anyone to call me back to explain what is going on. Buyer beware! read more

Outrageous Pricing! several years ago I had an appointment for a cleaning I had 2 teeth that I 3 teeth that needed to be extracted and they recommended to have a bridge installed to replace the teeth. I was flabbergasted when I was told it would cost $12000.00 to do this procedure and I had Premium Dental Insurance! That was my part with insurance! Wow you decide! I told the female Dentist just because they built a new building that I didn't need to make the monthly Payments for the building! She didn't know what to say! I told her I didn't want to get ripped off and wouldn't be back. That she lost a customer for life. read more

I have had worst experience. Not in beginning and through extractions. That experience with dr. John was great. Problem started after getting temporary set of dentures. Very loose and went in they adjusted after 3days. When was supposed to get soft relign. Told me they had no doctor and didn't know when so was stuck. No help finding other location to help. Finally got temporary and went in to do procedure and not sure who done it or if even qualified and left with worse issues. Gaps around gums, rubbing gums raw, cutting my tongue. Call past 2 days and then to be told don't have doctor again for at least 2 weeks or not sure when, so I have set of dentures tearing my mouth up even when talking. Do not go to this place. Staff was great but Rediculous that you can't service your patients. Looking into legal action due to taking my money and insurance money and haven't even got temporary right. read more

I have never experienced as poor service as I did at this office. Went originally in July, 2022 for upper denture replacement. Went back for the final fitting in wax in August. Picked them up in September, Tried them and they weren't right, left the office, found that I could not wear them and returned within a half hour. They tried to adjust, did not work, I left them at that point. After two more tries went back to pick them up again, still the same thing. Only this time the receptionist handed them to me in a plastic zip lock bag and said here. No offer to try them. Was then told that there was no dentist there. Would not be one for another two weeks. I told them this was totally unacceptable and left without the denture. The insurance claim was filed for 1179.00 and denied because the dentist was not on the plan. Spoke to Sabrina, told her what happened and that I was done with them. She said she understood and would handle it. In March I got an EOB from the insurance company where the claim was resubmitted and they paid Aspen. Have been in contact with Sabrina trying to get the insurance company reimbursed for the payment. In March she said she sent a ticket to the corporate office for the reimbursement and I've heard nothing since. E-mailed her again 2 weeks ago and no response. Next step is to report this as a fraudulent claim. read more
