Well, the staff was very friendly and the oral surgeon and his assistant were excellent. The assistant was great at easing my stress level. The pricing came out to be $1600 more than quoted over the phone which I knew was a generalization but I thought it would be somewhat closer. It was also $700 more than they billed me for initially as they overestimated what insurance would pay. They added extra tests at the initial exam that were not mentioned during the phone conversation, including a 900+ dollar guided TissRegen..., per implant. Before doing any of these tests, they never said what they were for or how much they were costing so that was a very frustrating. The guided test was supposed to be where to put my implant. Which since they just pulled the tooth I thought would be apparent. I don't know why I needed to pay $900 for that. Also, you have to pay upfront before they will even set an appointment (I guess this is now be standard), quite the shock when you're paying out over $5000 for an appointment that's not coming for a month. And they do give you the hard sell to get your money upfront without a good explanation. I could certainly see paying 50-50 to insure you keep the appointment. The money talk came after they rushed through all the tests and I'm very unhappy that this would not have been discussed prior to the tests so I could have pinned down what was really necessary and what I could afford. Overall, their management of pricing and what they estimated my insurance would cover was wrong, and the whole business left a bad taste in my mouth. Approximately three years ago, I made an appointment at Aspen Dental for a routine cleaning. I only chose them because my new employer's insurance required selecting from a limited list of providers, otherwise, I would have continued seeing the dentist I had trusted for years. When I arrived, the appointment began with X-rays and gum measurements. But then, instead of cleaning my teeth as scheduled, two staff members sat me upright in the chair and told me they would not be performing the cleaning. Their reason? They claimed I needed all of my teeth pulled and replaced with dentures due to "advanced gum disease" and some missing teeth--teeth that had been extracted over 15 years ago and had never given me any problems. I was absolutely blindsided. This was not something I had ever heard before from a dentist. In fact, I had been seen just a year prior by my regular dentist and had never been told anything of the sort. For context: at the time, I was missing four molars on the bottom, all extracted years ago after complications post-pregnancy. I also had five root canals and crowns in good condition. My mouth was far from perfect, but I had received consistent dental care and never had any serious ongoing issues. After delivering this devastating and unexpected news, they immediately escorted me to someone in their business office who began discussing extraction scheduling and handed me pamphlets about dentures. It was all a complete blur. I didn't schedule anything right away, but I went home feeling shocked, ashamed, and overwhelmed. I began researching options, talking to people my age with dentures (there weren't many, I was in my late 40s), and quickly fell into a spiral of anxiety and confusion. I felt humiliated. Not only was I treated with no compassion, but I wasn't even deemed "worth" a routine cleaning. I wasn't given time to process, or ask questions, and overall, the experience left me completely traumatized. Instead of immediately seeking a second opinion (which many people may ask, "Why not?"), I was frozen in fear and shame. I couldn't bring myself to face another dentist. I began obsessively brushing, using coconut oil rinses, buying every natural toothpaste, mouthwash, dental pick, and water flosser I could find, desperate to believe I could somehow save my teeth on my own. About a year ago, I lost a filling, and the trauma resurfaced. I delayed care for too long, and by the time I found the courage to see a different dentist (not Aspen), the damage was done. I ended up losing that tooth and an adjacent one with a crown, as a result of my delay, which was driven by fear caused directly by Aspen Dental's conduct. After the extractions, I told myself it was time to face the truth and move forward. I made an appointment with the new dentist and shared my story, including what I had been told at Aspen Dental. On June 11, 2025, I finally had a full cleaning and exam. To my complete disbelief, the dentist said: "Wow--for not having a cleaning in five years, you have very little plaque, your gums look really good, you DO NOT have gum disease, and you DO NOT need dentures." I was speechless. I had lived in fear, shame, and trauma for years based on false, predatory, and manipulative information from Aspen Dental. I was lied to, and I now fully believe they were trying to profit off of unnecessary procedures at the expense of my health and mental wellbeing. How many others have they done this to? How many people have lost their teeth or spent thousands of dollars on dentures or other procedures they didn't need? Aspen Dental should not be in business. Their unethical practices, fear tactics, and blatant disregard for patient care are appalling. I hope this review helps prevent even one person from experiencing the same emotional and physical toll I did. I've now regained the truth--and my voice--and I will continue to speak out about this disgusting experience and the damage it caused. read more

Well I signed up for the $49 membership fee and was wanting a good cleaning. I asked what the prices were for cleanings and they were unable to tell me pricing. They stated that I need to have a full run of X-Rays and an Examination first. Then there are 3 different levels of cleaning needed. I went for X-rays, (which I have had many/numerous x-rays at other dental providers), and at Aspen they indicated that I was to have 18 X-rays. The wafer that they use is 1.5-2 times bigger than I have encountered and I was unable to get my mouth closed while biting on the larger wafer. It was gouging and tearing the roof of my mouth and the area between my tongue and lower teeth. After six x-rays I said "this is not working, I'll be bleeding soon". I asked for other options, she said there wasn't any so I said this isn't going to work. She immediately got me up and walked me out to the front desk where they just looked at me after my complaints. Aspen showed Zero interest in trying to solve or figure out another way to move forward. So, They happily took my $49 and sent me on my way. Later that week I got a call from the "Business Team" asking if I was coming back. She then finally told me about the prices of the three levels of cleaning, and the third level/worst teeth conditions could cost an individual over $2000. My daughter went in for terrible tooth and jaw pain. Before they would even see her, she had to pay $53 for the visit. She is not a new patient and has insurance. After the exam and explanation of what was going on, they came up with a care plan of over $6,000; which included a special toothbrush (excuse me?). However, before she could schedule her first care visit, they asked for payment of her portion, in full; which was $2,700. This is not the way you run a medical business. That's like telling a heart attack patient that they won't be given life saving measures until they pay the bill upfront. Staff was rude to her as well. I referred her to my dentist and she's very happy. You get to pay whatever insurance won't cover AFTER you have work done! One star given only because I had to select it before I could post a review. read more

I brought my daughter in for a couple of procedures and they were done in a timely manner. I have to say, however, that after my daughter's appointment she let me know that the dentist answered his cell phone in the middle of doing her fillings. This was enough to kind of stop me in my tracks, but then I asked her if he changed his gloves afterward and she said no. I feel like this was an unsanitary and unprofessional thing to do and could have or might have put my daughter's health at risk for no reason.
