I want to highlight Jhaelan the dental assistant who took my X-rays. He was so kind and gave me so much comfort due to his soft spoken nature and genuine nature. He shared his own story with me and related to my situation. I didn't even like getting my hair cut due waiting that could last 30-60 min past your appointment and doctors are the worst at not meeting my appointment. I feel I am a busy boy and if you are going to charge me a late fee, then maybe I should charge you for wasting me time. All this said, you don't have to worry about this with the great people at Laveen Dental Care. They even called me in early from a 4PM to a 3PM appointment. I didn't have a busy day so why not get the masochism over. From the desk clerk, to the hygienist (totally googled that spelling, and the Dentist, they have a crew of amazing customer service. They let you fill your medical information in advance on your phone and send multiple reminders via text, so you dont forget your appointment. My cleaning consisted of a waterpik scrapy thing, the metal spike on my teeth and gums along with a lot of spray and sucky. She then polished my teeth and then flossed them as if that is going to make up for all of the lack of flossing after the pass 6 months. I am pretty sure my total visit was 20 minutes. 20 effing minutes for something that takes an hour at most horrible dentists. I also didn't mention that included the Dentist exam that told me that my teeth were amazing. No floss shaming, no telling me I need to brush better, and no upsales for lasers, tasers, or flouride treatment. They also offer $25 for a yelp review, which is why you see me here telling you how great there are, but in reality my cleanings are paid for by my overpriced insurance and I just want to keep these guys in business for Laveen, so I can go back. I would still take them up on the $25 even if there were terrible cause $20 bucks is $20 bucks but I wouldn't give a good review and wouldn't go back Their best advice was to stop brushing my gums so hard to help receding gum line. Other dentists told me to brush down, not knowing what manly aggression I would put into those red gummies. Ill also note I haven't had a big bloody mess on my teeth since visiting them. If you live in Laveen, this is your best choice or even within a 30 mile radius. I used to have my wife drag me to Tempe before putting my foot down telling here that there has to be a good dentist on the westside and gdamt I was right and something better than I have ever had.

I waited approximately 30-45 minutes to see the dentist while I was inside in the chair, despite the practice having only one other patient in the other room. That alone was frustrating, but unfortunately, the experience got much worse. Before my treatment, I specifically stated that I did not want Novocaine. The assistant apparently had not reviewed my chart beforehand and proceeded to numb my mouth anyway. Having to deal with something I had specifically declined was extremely upsetting and made me question how carefully patient information is being reviewed. The communication and privacy were also uncomfortable. The owner speaks so loudly that, because the waiting room is so small, conversations can be heard by everyone sitting there. Discussing patients and their dental matters in an environment where everyone can hear is not something I found professional or respectful. The worst part of my visit was what happened during the cleaning. The hygienist accidentally stepped on the cord connected to the instrument in my mouth and then yanked the instrument out. The sudden movement caused my neck to jerk painfully, and I almost fell out of the dental chair. It was frightening and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, during the cleaning I felt like I was being waterboarded because of the excessive amount of water going into my mouth, up my nose and splashing the protective eyewear. And unfortunately, the financial consequences have made this experience even worse. The claim was submitted against my limited dental coverage, leaving me facing thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket expenses to have my teeth addressed elsewhere. That is an enormous financial burden, particularly when I am now seeking another dentist because I will NEVER return to this practice. Overall, no one explained what they were doing, and I felt unsafe during my visit. Between the excessive wait, failure to review my chart, lack of privacy, what happened with the dental instrument, the cleaning experience, and the financial consequences, this is absolutely not a practice I will recommend. I hesitated posting this review, but I wanted others to be aware before selecting this practice. This negative review should absolutely NOT be a surprise to the dentist. She knows exactly what happened at this two visits. ( I'm retired so maybe that helps). I needed a crown and Dr Hamed wasn't happy with the labs making of the crown a few times because it wasn't fitting right. What I'm really trying to say is that I'm glad she just didn't install it and be done with me. Because how would I know. It gave me confidence that once I received it, it was done right. I…read morewas a little early to my appointment, and Dr. Duong was in the front office and greeted me by name, shook my hand as he introduced himself. The front office ladies were so polite and kind, as well as efficient, even when dealing with computer program glitches. I didn't have to wait, appointment started on time, and I was in and out in less than an hour for a chipped tooth repair. Did I mention that they got me in the same day as a new patient?!? I had called multiple places and they were mostly closed or nothing available for a week. Dr. Duong did fantastic work and made my chipped tooth invisible with color matching and smoothing/polishing. The first time I had it done by Aspen dental, it was not smooth and I could feel the filling material if I ran my tongue over it. Not the case this time. They went above and beyond when I mentioned that I have been having jaw pain (not what the appointment was scheduled for) to look into it. They did not pressure me into anything, just did what I asked to be done, and told me to call if I wanted to come back to have a complete exam and look further into the issues I was having. I booked my next appointment and will definitely have my daughter go there for her next check up. Highly recommended.
