On January 22 2026 I started my dental care with a deep cleaning. The young lady who did the cleaning was gentle and professional. I have not had a cleaning in 5 years. I have heart failure with no cure so i had basically put my dental health on the back burner. During this visit there was no judgment just a very professional visit. I just went in for a regular cleaning which my insurance covers for preventative care. After an hour of x-rays, cancer screening and gum test, they said that I had periodontal disease and wanted to set me up for an extensive treatment that was $1800, which of course insurance did not cover. I told them I just wanted a regular cleaning but they refused to do that, they would only do the specialized treatment cleaning, and sent me on my way. So glad that I did not fall for this scam after now reading the reviews. Note, when the dentist looked at my teeth she said that my teeth looked great and was impressed with my cleaning technique. I guess I did not need a cleaning after all. Can we just go to a dentist to get our teeth cleaned? It should not be that big of a deal. read more

Made an appointment on November 25th for December 10th at 2:00PM I sat on hold for 20 minutes before I could talk to the male taking my call, he scheduled my appointment (which was an emergency by the way but still couldn't get sooner), confirmed the time and told me I'd have to get X-Rays since it had been so long since my last. I agreed and kept the date. I showed up today for my appointment 20 minutes early, after using PTO to get out of work on time, only to find that I don't have an appointment. They didn't do anything to help me and they couldn't get in even though I scheduled so far in advance. Extremely disappointed and I am now changing to a new dentist. read more

I had a terrible experience at Aspen Dental. After checking with my provider online Aspen Dental showed to have coverage for my specific company. When I called to verify they did accept my insurance, I was told to go ahead and set up an appointment and coverage will be verified prior to my arrival with the local office.They were listed as accepting my insurance but after getting treatment I found out that they had cancelled coverage of my insurance so everything I had done was out of pocket. The dentist even suggested I "go ahead and get all fillings I needed" done while I was "already numbed up" which increased the cost. After the work was done she indicated that the fillings were in really hard places to get to so they might come out ? What ??? read more

I got scammed, I went in to get my stain cleaned, but after a checkup they told me I needed to do deep cleaning since I had gingivitis, I didn't really care bout that I just wanted my teeth to look clean and they told me it'd be cleaned as well, note: they charged $2600 for it! I got on monthly payments and when the day of my appointment came they said it had to be canceled, cuz the nurse wasn't there, then 2 hours later I get a called saying another nurse is there now so I got there (mind you they stated multiple times that I'd be getting deep cleaning and based on my understanding it's when they go under the gum, I might be wrong so take it with grain of salt) and when I got there they never went under my gum, not once, and as for the stain that I wanted to get removed they couldn't even do it, they just told me to go get it drilled out in another place, now based on my understanding I'm was supposed to pay somewhere around $1100-1200 dollars to Aspen Dental, and around 1500-1600 to synchrony bank making it $2600 like they said, but the funny thing is I already paid aspen dental over $1250 but it still says I gotta pay more. at firsT the charge was 790 something I paid $500 of it, and it somehow went to 1000 and paid 250 and now it's at 836 and I just now paid 500 and waiting for it to update!... read more

I had a crown fall out and I needed it to be cemented back into place. I called several local dentists and was told I would have to have a complete cleaning, x-rays and an evaluation before having my crown glued back into place, they all said it would cost $300+ I called Aspen, was told I would need to complete similar pretreatment guidelines, but the x-rays and evaluation would be free and the price was not quoted for cementing the crown but it would be discussed after the crown was judged reusable in the Dentists opinion. So I took a chance, I explained I do not have a job or insurance now but they took my x-rays and a Dentist looked at the pictures and my crown and said they could and would help me. The business manager told me the price- just a little over $100. I thought that was very fair. I received compassionate and friendly attention from all of the people I encountered. The Dentist was not in a hurry to rush me out of the office and explained my x-rays to me, showed me an area on my crown she needed to clean and carefully glued it back in to place. Very disappointed. Aspen Dental in Georgetown is terrible and I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. My first appointment went okay but in the last 1.5 years they have had to cancel my cleaning appointments back to back due to no available hygienist. Even after rescheduling they still kept cancelling. This is my 5th time now and here they go again asking to reschedule. They have 0 care towards clients feedback and time. I'm currently experiencing excruciating pain on my right lower molar and jaw and I have a cracked left lower molar. After switching insurance plans at the beginning of the year, I needed to find a new dentist that accepted my provider. I called around several local places to find out they didn't accept my insurance. After checking with my provider online aspen dental showed to have coverage for my specific company. When I called to verify they did accept my insurance, I was told to go ahead and set up an appointment and coverage will be verified prior to my arrival with the local office. I was asked if I had any other family members that would need dental services. Hoping they would be my destination for future dental needs for me and my family. I offered up the amount of people that are in my household. I was asked if I wanted to make appointments for them at which time I declined because the insurance had not been verified yet. I was asked about getting my son in persistently until I mentioned his age. I was told they don't accommodate children under the age of six. That isn't my main concern right now so it wasn't a big deal. After scheduling my appointment I received a text confirmation for the correct time and date we discussed. Within 15 minutes I had another text saying my appointment had been canceled and I needed to contact the office at which I did. I was told they had a later appointment that same day and rescheduled. Taking Tylenol over the course of the next two days while I waited for my appointment, I didn't receive anymore information from aspen until the day of my appointment reminder was sent. When I showed up, I filled out their paperwork and handed them my insurance card shortly after that I was in the back to do x-rays the process to 20 to 30 minutes. At the end of the process and just about to begin 3-D imaging, the customer service rep that checked me in came into the room to tell me they did not accept my insurance and asked me if I wanted to proceed with the charges out-of-pocket. I was told that the x-rays and consultation was free, but I receive neither. That's fine but given how far we were into the situation. I at least expected some sort of review of the x-rays to let me know why my jaw and tooth are hurting so bad. I had called at least ten other places and they were able to decide coverage then and there which avoided a lot of wasted time. What could have been a 3 minute phone call turned into a bad experience with me losing out on 2-3 days getting seen elsewhere all while in pain. Not very considerate. read more

I had my teeth pulled here, when they put the temperary teeth in I told them they were too big.but they didn't listen. Now I have the false ones they made and they are so big even glue will not keep them in. Glue before and after I eat because they won't stay in my mouth. After driving over an hour away to my appointment they informed me that they had to reschedule... the receptionist was very impatient and kept interrupting me while I was asking if there was anyway to get me in that day because I missed work and drove so far out... she ended up scheduling me 2 weeks later (today) after calling in from work this morning I get a text that they have to reschedule again. I'm in pain I was trying to explain this to the receptionist but she didn't seem to care! TERRIBLE Service. TERRIBLE Communication with staff. Wasted time and money. Had a broken tooth that they fixed like a month and half ago. I called on Thursday because the filling came out Not very big filing but was on the side of my tooth and my tongue was getting cut up and unable to eat or talk because it was painful. The receptionist had to go talk to the my doctor several times about it. They would not see me Thursday or Friday and told me to be there at 8:00 am Monday and they would fix it. Told me to go to Walmart and get some temporary filling to get me through the weekend. I did but the tooth had sharp edges so it didn't help. Went in on Monday at 8 and the doctor was sitting right there and the receptionist talked to her and she would not see me and sat with her back to me and would not even acknowledge me even though I told them I was in pain. Told me they would have to set an appointment to come back and have it looked at, not fix it. That would be another appointment to get it fixed. read more

Gosh get the popcorn IDK where to begin.....Last February I went to get an assessment to have 2 teeth crowned. One being my front tooth because it was gray(not broken) from a root canal 20 years ago. Well the FRONT tooth was over prepped and broke out 72 hours later. The soonest they could get my implant was April 26th!!! I was told the old would come out the new would go in that same day. I seriously anxiously waited for a month and a half for this tooth!!!! April 26th I walk in to some sad faces saying they had been cyber hacked and couldn't do anything and would call me when they could. You can only imagine my disappointment . I am NOT somebody who doesn't care about their appearance. But I kept getting many calls from the office manager giving me a new date but no time and then in the evening Allison(office manager) would call me from her cell to cancel the night before. Imagine the emotional turmoil!!!So she told me they were going to send me to Danville and gave me a date ...when I called Danville they never heard of me nor did implants. So now I am just being lied to!!! I asked for a refund but they said they couldn't even do that.I paid 3 grand out of pocket and financed 2 grand....They would not give me the RM's number, had to get that from a guy at the Lexington location. Bam the RM gets my surgery scheduled 4 days from our conversation. Again May 29th I am thinking I am getting my tooth!!! YAY!!!! Only to get there on surgery day for the surgeon to tell me nope you wait 3 months after surgery to get your tooth to prevent infection. I do believe his words are if people can't take care of real teeth then you wont a fake one. Hello???? My tooth is missing not from lack of cleaning!!! So I bite the bullet and wear a denture for 3 more months and I go in September they scan my teeth for my tooth to be made and today I was suppose to have it placed in. They called me yesterday saying everybody's came in but mine. Needless to say I have been crying uncontrollably ...call me dramatic but it's been almost 7 months since I have had my front tooth (we are talking 3 seasons have passed) Wearing the denture gags me, you can not eat in public with it, I have had to decline many social events. Basically work and home is all I do. They have 5 grand of my money and I have nothing but complete emotional trauma and I don't have a clue when this night mare will end . I think they have mentally broke me. PS I wouldn't had even gave 1 star but you had to put something in to go forward. Folks save your self time stress and money and find a real dentist office please heed my warning. I am posting this public beware!!! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. It's awful. Same thing the other people have said they take a million x-rays, no communication about why you're even there or even between staff and talk about replacing fillings. They get you in same day because they don't intend to fix your problems at all that day but schedule you for follow ups. They suck! I went here to get my teeth cleaned and was told I needed to buy their $200 toothbrush, take all of my old feelings out and have all of them replaced with caps AND have two new feelings. They told me to sit in a room while they figured out the cost of all of that. It came to a grand total of nearly $17,000. I went to a local dentist, he said my older feelings were fine, put my two new feelings in for an out of pocket cost of $150. I will not recommend or go back to Aspen. The only good thing about them is their convenience in hours... but that isn't worth it. I should have listened to other reviews from Yelp and friends. read more

This business is close to criminal. They try to sell you on unnecessary services and hold the dental work that is actually needed hostage. They make you watch a sales video before you're seen and there are intense back and forth negations for thousands of dollars of services unwanted/unneeded services. It was $4,000, then $3,000 and they finally came back with $2,100. That is with our excellent insurance!! They wasted two hours of our day for what took a legitimate dentist 25 minutes and $200 to fix. read more

They then told me the cleaning will cost $44. I never in my life had to pay for a cleaning - my insurance covers that. Told them I would call back to schedule but definitely won't be returning. Terrible. I like other reviewers only needed a cleaning my previous dentist retired so I was just looking for someone to continue my care. They were like a car salesman trying to sell me a rotating toothbrush to getting other dental procedures I didn't need. When I asked if my teeth were in bad shape they said I may have a small cavity not sure. I'm like you took a hundred xrays and your not sure? I came here for a tooth ache dentist ended up telling me I had a cavity under a cap where I had previously had a root canal and that he had to pull the tooth after 12 shots in my gums for deadening an 4 an half hours they couldn't get my tooth numb and he pulls it anyway causing me an inconceivable amount of pain he shows me the tooth and I couldn't see anything wrong with it I've had a few bad teeth pulled before and they came out fine with no pain an you could see the cavity in them but this tooth looked healthy and he had a lot of trouble getting it to come out which makes me think it was healthy because it did not want to come out after all that they then tell me I need all these other procedures adding up to just under $8000.00 I do not believe these ppl no what they are doing because I've been told before I need these same things but it wasn't gonna cost no where near what they want to charge I will never go to aspen again read more

Everyone was friendly at first. I came thinking I was getting my teeth cleaned. I have insurance so didn't get the free advertised exam (although) it was free to me. I just wanted my teeth cleaned and after an hour of X-rays and waiting and talking to the dentist, she advised me they don't clean the first day. What they do instead is find every possible issue with your teeth they could fix. The dentist told me there was one spot that may need filled and that nothing else was jumping out at her. Then I had to talk to the business manager for my "treatment plan". She said I need 7 filling which is not the same as 1. I'm guess she wants to replace all of the fillings I had replaced 3 years ago. Huge difference between a local dentist and a franchise with specific money goals that most defiantly lead to unneeded procedures. If you go here I'd be willing to bet they will find something you need. Constant up selling mouth guards, brushes, creams ......and to top it off the next cleaning was in 2 weeks. I spent 2 and a half hours waiting for the dentist to come in to the room. I was only there for a check up and a cleaning. The dentist told me that I need a couple of root canals and other work done. They were trying to milk my pocket and insurance company. I DO NOT need any root canals! I only needed a check up and cleaning WHICH WAS NEVER DONE! While I was there I gave them paperwork from my insurance company stating that they needed the details on what a $50 charge was for during my last visit. After 2 different people at Aspen Dental looked into my records they could NOT provide me with details/paperwork for WHAT the $50 charge was for. MY previous visit was 6 months ago there is no reason to not be able to provide me with the proper information to give to my insurance company. My insurance company will keep denying payment of the charge and they better not think for one second that I will be paying it!!! Aspen dental is all about $$$$$$$ = trying to perform procedures that are not needed and charging $ that they can NOT provide WHAT the charges were for. I walked out of there and will NEVER go back!
