Serene Smiles makes it SO EASY to book online. Now that I'm a regular, I've also taken advantage of being able to text their number to set or reschedule appointments. I also love that Serene Smiles texts me my appointment information and reminders. It truly couldn't be easier! Your Comfort Is Important Before my very first appointment, I shared during my booking experience that in the past I've had dentists who have grabbed my mouth and roughly poked around without me knowing what they were doing. I shared that my preference is to know what they are doing and why. Serene Smiles exceeded my expectations in every way, first with Sarah as my initial hygienist, and then with Kaitlyn. Both Sarah and Kaitlyn were so kind and patient with me - they explained what they were doing and why, showed me the tools, told me what they were doing, and told me there were some alternatives if I felt discomfort. They consistently asked me if I was comfortable and overall made me feel very cared for. Dr. Zain is also very gentle, and he goes out of his way to explain everything you need to know about your teeth and facial muscles. He also doesn't push unnecessary treatment - he prefers to try less intrusive options and wait to see if there's improvement. When I asked for clarification or to see the areas of concern, I was told that I "wouldn't understand or be able to see it anyway," which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I ended up getting a second opinion at another office, where it was confirmed that I am not a candidate for deep cleaning. Not only that, but they also identified issues that this office completely missed and corrected some of the earlier diagnoses. Overall, I would not recommend this practice if you're looking for thorough, transparent, and patient-centered care. The staff is nice and friendly, but the hygienist and doctors are just bullies.

I waited until my 2nd trip to write this review. The staff was friendly, they explained my entire procedure, they genuinely wanted to ensure that I had all of the information I needed. I'd definitely refer them to others based on my experience. I had read previous reviews about insurance, corporate office issues and billing but never had any issues until now. While the staff is definitely friendly, the billing and insurance is a hot mess, especially if they OWE you Money. I've been waiting for.a refund for two months and they have been making it very difficult to get this resolved. It's been having a major impact on my thoughts of returning.

My second session I went in and was informed I had a balance, front desk said oh we forgot to put in discounts since you paid out of pocket. Ok done, Dr and hygienist are great. 6 mos down the line I get a letter in the mail I owe them over $100. Come again? I reached out various attempts and even went through my insurance turns out they billed me for X-rays when I brought my own. They were supposed to return that $ in order for my insurance to pay for a cleaning. Front desk never returned my call or email and I'm certain that was not done because the dentist that did in fact do my X-rays cannot get paid due to Marshall Dental billing for X-rays when I physically brought my own and have the email to prove I did before my procedures. Per other reviews this is a normal process for them. It's unfortunate as I would have liked to return. During this emails and phone calls they cancelled my cleaning appt.
