I went in with tooth pain in Oct 2020. They told me i had 2 cavities, and I had to have a $400 "deep clean" or they would fill my teeth. ($400 my cost with insurance). I borrowed $200 to get the top cleaned only, in order to fill the one tooth that hurt. When I returned days later for the one filling they said I didn't have any cavities and sent me home. (Me wasting $200) A year later (today, 9/28/2021), I went in for my "free" routine cleaning. They told me it would cost $188. I said, "no, I get 2 free cleanings a year with my insurance." Receptionist said, "that's not what you need. So today will be $188." So, I walked out. They refused the treatments that come with my insurance. And that is AFTER they conned me out of $200 for the last cleaning. --I also heard the lady checking in before me ask for a piece of paper to write her next appt date on, and the receptionist said, "oh, we'll call you the night before." I arrived for a simple routine cleaning at Aspen Dental (located at 22911 Lyden Drive, Suite B, Estero FL 33928) but got nothing but trouble. The Dentist explained they did not have a hygienist on site and in fact a cleaning needed to be done over 2 appointments using words that did not make much sense. I felt like their business model was to get people through the door, collect their insurance information and then scam them into additional unnecessary office visits. I feel I have good teeth and cleanings usually take about 30 minutes. On the way out, I was going to be up charged hundreds of dollars that I refused to pay. They did not perform a cleaning and my overall experience was negative. All I wanted to do was get out of there. A total nightmare! read more

I had a very poor experience. The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is the receptionist was very friendly. Was taken back for a full mouth set of X-Rays, several of which were quite painful. Then waited 10 to 15 minutes to see the dentist. Was given a very cursory exam, which mainly consisted of her telling me the treatments I'd need, including an initial deep cleaning and then follow up cleanings every quarter. No dentist in over 10 years has told me this. After this I waited 20 minutes for the "office manager " who was surly at best. He "ordered" me to a seat, printed out 4 sheets of paper and proceeded to tell me, in less than 3 minutes, I needed over $19,000 worth of work, including an initial cleaning at a cost of over $1,500 followed by more than $300 every quarter. To sum it up, I went into Aspen Dental expecting an exam and cleaning and walked out with no cleaning, a cursory exam and a treatment plan for more than $19,000. Run away, run away. read more

So, my daughter and I go to this Aspen Dental for cleanings. My dental coverage is excellent, it's Cigna, covers 100% of the cleaning. A month later, Aspen Dental sends me a bill in the mail for some nonsense I didn't approve, sign for or request. Fictitious charges. I have so far mailed 2 dispute of charges letters to their corporate office, and all they do is continue to send me a bill. Eventually they will probably slap a collection agency with the bill to try to collect from me. These people are crooks. They will not communicate with you and they will charge you bogus fees for things you didn't ask for or get performed. read more

It's a true shame because the dentists as well as hygienists are gems! The Estero location over charged me for a paradontal cleaning, for multiple visits after they told me I didn't have a payment and I thought it was so strange! They wanted to see me first before scheduling a cleaning. After my appointment with a young dentist using big words to confuse me. They said I needed $3000 worth of periodontal procedures due to infected gums. I got out of there as fast as I could. UNPROFESSIONAL!! My visit was absolutely horrible. The ladies (notice plurality, yup took two people to do my x-ray) basically treated me like a guinea pig. The main girl that was in charge of my dental x-rays was basically untrained. They ended up doing the uncomfortable procedure more than once for each area of the mouth, scratching all over my bottom gums, causing too much pain to finish through... I said that I couldn't continue with the front bottom teeth because it hurt too much and asked if I could just be done because the main thing I was worried about was my wisdom tooth growing in anyway, they told me they would ask the "doctor". Had an appointment for six months, came in on the morning of my appointment and the girl at the front desk says, "oh, I guess we forgot to call you our hygienist is sick." So I scheduled another appointment with her for 10:30 a few days later, she writes it down on an appointment card.... I get a phone call and an email stating that my appointment is at 10:30. I arrive at 10:30 on the day of my new appointment. After waiting for 40 minutes I have to leave soon, I go to the girl who scheduled my appointment two days before and ask if I'm going to be getting into my appointment soon. I go to aspen due to my gums swollen they recommend I have my wisdom teeth extracted. So I go back a few days later have my wisdoms taken out and start to notice severe swelling and pain in one side afterwords. I called aspen, called every single office near me telling them I have an infection and pain no one cared. Not one office got me in or bothered to try to make time for me. Ended up going to see another dentist and had a life threatening infection that needed immediate attention. Aspen did not care that I had an infection, did not Attempt to help in any way. I was only wanting a regular cleaning while we wintered in Florida. No acknowledgment when I arrived, this is a factory operation set up to scare you into expensive unneeded service--I was told that before getting a regular cleaning, I needed a Deep root scaling, to cost me over $900 balance after my insurance. I said no thanks! The dentist I had an appointment with and that I had checked online was not even in this office. It took almost 2 hours to get out of office without getting the cleaning service. Aspen Dental does not know the right way to tip a delivery driver. $90+ bill and they tip $1??? Unbelievable. Office staff have done this more than once and were not able to let me know why they are such terrible people when it comes to properly tipping on food being delivered to them even though they'll take all the money they can to pay for their checks. Unreal for a dentist's office to not properly tip somebody who literally lives off tips for this particular job. I was looking for a new dentist close to home when I booked an appointment with aspen dental estero. It had been awhile since I had seen a dentist and I was there due to a fractured tooth/filling. By the time I was done with my comprehensive exam I left with a 12000 dollar treatment plan that had been discounted to 9000 for being a new patient. Four crowns and a deep root scaling due to # 5 pockets I had been told in the past by my hygienist that I didn't even build plaque on my teeth so the root scaling claim made me make the 45 minute drive to my old dentist for a second opinion! I'm glad I did because I actually only needed two crowns and two fillings and the assistant told me I should go with my gut which screamed bull poop about the scaling! I just moved full time to Naples and I normally go to Naples location. This location is good but traffic was pretty bad in order to get here if you come from naples. Everything was good but the only thing I was frustrated was the prescription note. Somehow the dentist signature was not on the appropriate line ( almost right in the middle) and both CVS and Walgreen did not accepted it. I had to wait at least 30 mins in car line at both places. The operator recommended me to try different pharmacy but results were the same. They told me to come back and get a new one (seriously??). I wasted time driving around but I ended up go to my usual location in Naples instead and the dentist there was so nice and gave me a new one. I would say this location is not as professional as the one in Naples. They r nice here but you know a little bit if attention goes a long way. read more

First time using Aspen Dental and will never be coming back. Office was very clean and seemed on top of things, however when I met with the hygienist (I believer her name was Mary) she was terribly rude and absolutely degrading. I routinely go to a dentist and have only ever had minor issues if any at all, this woman entered the room and only looked at my X-ray and did not even look in my actual mouth and immediately said "oh boy". While she was doing the exam on my mouth she would have a short laugh to herself as if she was making fun of me. Told her I Brushed my teeth but have since ate as I had no other time to eat and she obviously disregarded what I said and immediately belittled me for not having a perfectly clean mouth saying I obviously do not brush regularly since there was bits of food left in my mouth after I CLEARLY told her I was unable to brush after eating today. Then she tried pointing out other issues on my X-rays however she would only point certain spots out on the X-rays and not others that looked the same as if she was making up that there was an actual problem. I routinely go to the dentist every 6months and have never once been told about 90% of the things this horribly rude hygienist was saying. The dentist was more friendly and did not even mention half of the things the hygienist did which made me even more skeptical of the business they are running. Clearly trying to make as much money as possible from each patient that walks through the door. After all of the shaming I received from this woman I did not even receive a cleaning or anything worth my time. Was told I needed to schedule multiple appointments to get my cleanings done. Would've made more sense to stay home because I accomplished absolutely nothing at this poor excuse of an establishment. read more

AVOID! This is a fraud organization they say they take your insurance but they actively engage in excess billing and extra non necessary procedures. They don't clearly lay out what insurance pays and what you will pay. They strip you of patient rights and options. The dental work is bad. They kept increasing my bill and claim of more procedures like crown lengthening, bone grafting, bone build up. I just wanted a root canal and had money to pay for it at about $2000 but they said $4500 or I loose the tooth. They pulled it. I can never go back. I am very depressed over false information that caused me to be forever without my tooth. Please Please do NOT go to Aspen! I can't really express an experience at this location since my husband and my appointments were cancelled on arrival. We were given Apts, got the ok on our insurance plan and gone on line and filled out the appropriate forms as instructed. On entering the facility and signing in I for a 4:15 apt I was told that they could not see us because the computers had been down all day and couldn't take X-rays. The receptionist took down my information and said she would call to reschedule . One week later we have still not heard from the office. If you are thinking of using Aspen for their dental services stop. I have never been to a more unprofessional place of work in my entire life. To name a few of the distasteful things I encountered. The dental assistant was chewing hard candy while working in my mouth, I had a teeth whitening that was extremely painful, and I was left in the room for an hour with no communication from any staff. I also went in for some fillings on chipped teeth, it took the dentist two tries on each tooth to get it right, as well as having my front tooth that was fixed be the farthest thing from looking like the other front tooth. After I published the review with complaints they quickly took it down. There are only positive reviews. They tried to sell me a deep root scaling after claiming "5" readings in 2 areas. I accompanied my son to this center for the removal of his wisdom teeth. He chose the location/brand thinking there must be standards. This was not the case. There was no acknowledgement when you walk in. No smiles or anything that would lead you to believe you were welcome. There was an hour wait to get into the back, then another hour wait (so long that he had to have the Novocaine re-administered (all 6 or 7 shots)!! Then another hour for the procedure. No one came out to let me know that he was ok - I finally opened the door to the back and yelled for someone's attention to see if there was a problem after 2 hours of him back there. He is allergic and he told the dentist- the dentist still prescribed the wrong anti-biotic. One more thing, while we were waiting for him to go back, a woman came in that needed emergency dental help. The person at the desk said she could not help her (no emergency team there) or direct her. I got up and told the woman to seek care at the local urgent care or emergency room, because it was 2pm on a Friday. I agree with another reviewer that called this a factory. read more

But I am not the kind of individual that believes what everyone say's is true, because there are many people that are so frustrated with their own lives their destiny becomes making the lives of others miserable.. At any rate I decided to make an appointment. Let me tell you, I was treated with the utmost respect. The staff was friendly, The dentist and his assistant were extremely professional. The facility was spotless as well. I was not forced into buying treatments I did not need and I found everyone dedicated to their work.. I am one of the most critical individuals on the planet. I examine everything from an individuals character, to how they speak and how clean the corners of the room are. I am able to discern as to whether or not someone really cares about others or is just in it out of obligation.
