There is a great restaurant and bar near the lobby. The lounge within the restaurant in bar makes it very casual and welcoming. Our rooms are very modern nice and clean and brilliant . The only concern we had and problem was they were still updating half of the hotel and we were walking through a construction zone to and from our room every day and had to put up with a bunch of noise from contractors. I'm not sure the answer would've been here but they can't work on all the rooms at once but it was not the best situation. Once the hotel is completely updated and there is no more construction, it will likely hit a five star Yelp rating. I'll stay here next time hopefully it's all done and we have a great day..

Certainly enough for two people. The king size bed was very comfortable and the concierge was helpful. If ever returning to 'Ceston, I definitely would stay at the Sebel. We had the seafood platter and it was ridiculous! Piled HIGH with deliciousness, and tons of fries. The steak was also good, with a really tasty gravy. Also nice to have a big bathtub and a little brick patio out back to relax in after a long day. There is also a good Indian restaurant, Pickled Evenings, just down the hill near the driveway entrance. If you are coming during the cooler months, do bring a bathrobe and warm pajamas though as the suite can get quite chilly. There is a space heater, but still. Also, I wish there had been an information sheet in the room - I arrived late and so was not able to jump on the wifi until someone could tell me the password the following day. I also did not realize until the end of my stay that the bed had an electric blanket underneath the sheet, which would have been great to know earlier. Breakfast is ok, just some eggs, toast, and cereal - but the view from the dining room is quite lovely.

They have a decent location about 10 minutes walk to the city centre. They are situated on the river and are close by Cataract Gorge (DO NOT MISS CATARACT GORGE) The rooms are modern, but the set up is a little awkward (you need your card key twice: First to access the entryway that services two rooms; Second to get into your actual room)-can you imagine my poor neighbours if I had stumbled in drunk? (Oh wait, I DID stumble in drunk-hope I didn't disturb anyone!) The service is personal and very friendly and makes this feel like a small hotel. It is probably the most modern hotel in Launnie and very comfortable so I would highly recommend it if you're visiting the area.

The staff was friendly, professional and extremely helpful with directions and dining suggestions. We dined at the Mud Bar Restaurant attached to the hotel for several of our meals. Given the exemplary service we received and the excellent food we were served, we could have eaten there every day. Servers Peter and Dasha, in particular made each visit a fun and memorable dining experience. We cant wait to return to Tasmania and this great hotel.

Describes this motel really. Decor a bit rustic but clean, comfortable, seemingly unlimited hot water with plenty of pressure, and hosts to make you feel like you are the only guest, both in the office and in the adjoining Settlers Restaurant, which, by the way, has bread and butter pudding as a permanent staple on the menu. Don't stay anywhere else if you are visiting this part of Tasmania. You won't find any better value for money.

Tons of closet space/ a comfortable sofa/ large bathroom. Very clean as well. My only complaint is that there is no lift! The rooms are quite spacious for the price and feature insanely comfortable four-poster beds and surprisingly modern bathroom furnishings. The owners also have an adorable small dog that sometimes hangs out in the main lobby, and is super friendly and loves cuddles! (but be aware if you're allergic!) The major downside to our stay was that the advertising and the Inn's website led us to believe that breakfast was included in the room, but it was not. The breakfast served there is quite good, but for $17 per person, I have no doubt you could find better quality and a much lower price if you ventured out to a nearby cafe or bakery. Overall, a comfortable and reasonably-priced place to stay, central location that is within walking distance of several restaurants, pubs, and bottleshops, and classic, old-fashioned decor made for a very pleasant stay.

Modern décor surrounded our king size bed - much of it exclusive to the hotel (you'll love the window blind!). The ceiling is probably 12ft high, and the ensuite quite roomy. The hotel now has in-room free wi-fi as well as cabled broadband. The lobby and restaurant/lounge are compact, but classy and well looked after by the staff. Hotel Charles is located a short walk South of the CBD on a plot previously part of the Hospital. It shares many of its parking spots with a number of businesses during the day, so there are signs reserving spaces for hotel guests only from 5:30pm to 8:30am. If you can only get one of those spaces when you arrive, the obligation to shift would be a downside of your stay.
