We have used this for my 9 year old son for after school care. He loves the staff and stays engaged by working on activities and projects.

I got a little story for you about this terrible school. I paid cash upfront and was told that I…read morewould finish school in four weeks. I was forced to take nearly 3 weeks off in the middle of my training. The excuse is that they didn't have instructors. I had five instructors in as many weeks... Most of whom were mediocre at best. I can't say that I had one good instructor but I only got to spend one day with him. No surprise that when I took my test after taking a week and a half off in between I failed. Then I rescheduled my test had to wait 2 1/2 weeks and it was only given one hour to brush up on my skills before I failed the second time last night. They contacted me to let me know that they had dropped me from their program! Unbelievable! This has been a terrible experience from day one and now I am left out in the cold to try and find a truck that I can test with on my own. Mind you I am cash pay and they offer no assistance in this regard at all. I cannot emphasize this enough... Do not do business with this company. I've never seen an operation run so poorly in my life. Terrible terrible. Terrible.

UPDATE AFTER SHOP OWNER RESPONSE…read more Nice try. I brought it back 7 days later with the receipt and was treated poorly. The saleswoman brought it back to the owner who refused. I tried to reason with them for a return or.credit and was denied this simple courtesy. Pretending to be courteous here doesn't change the review or my opinion of your shop. I would advise anyone to skip this shop. - - - - I purchased about $100 worth of fabric and notions a couple of weeks ago. I bought a seam ripper, too. I paid about $11 for it. When I got it home and took it out of the package I found that the point of it was dull, chipped, and it didn't work. I took it back with my receipt and was told that since I had taken it out of the package they couldn't resell it, so no refund or exchange. Wow. Obviously they don't want return business. Just imagine how you get treated if you buy a sewing machine from them and have a problem. It never occurred to me that a business would care so little about customers. Obviously I'll be shopping at the Fig Leaf instead, where they are friendly and make customers feel welcome and appreciated.

Our family had a very disappointing experience with the Boys & Girls Club on Jefferson. Our son has…read morebehavioral and special needs challenges, and while we fully understand that boundaries and appropriate behavior must be taught and reinforced, we felt the organization became increasingly defensive and unwilling to work collaboratively with us once issues began arising. We repeatedly attempted to communicate solutions and behavioral approaches that have worked successfully at home and in other environments, but were often told they could not accommodate those methods due to staffing limitations. Instead of feeling supported as parents trying to actively address concerns, we often felt treated as though we were the problem. Rather than acknowledging that behavioral challenges can occur in any long-running child-centered environment, the organization frequently framed the situation as something entirely unprecedented. This made interactions feel defensive and focused more on reputation management than constructive problem-solving. The final situation involved an allegation of inappropriate touching by our 7-year-old son. While we absolutely agree children must learn personal boundaries, we were deeply uncomfortable with how the matter was escalated and discussed. Rather than approaching the situation with nuance and understanding appropriate to a child of that age, conversations became heavily focused on liability and worst-case scenarios. We are already pursuing additional support and counseling resources for our child because we take these matters seriously as parents. However, based on our experience, we would not recommend this location to families with children who may need behavioral accommodations, patience, or collaborative support. This review reflects only our personal experience.
