God bless this football program.
It has the nation's second longest losing streak in the country, at 55 games, behind Red Lake, Minnesota, who sits at a hundred and five games.
The South Bison (how cool is that?), are already 0-2 on the 2026 campaign having dropped efforts of 0-70, and 0-55.
And what's amazing is through all of this adversity, they still appear to have a solid turnout of students for the varsity squad.
Who wouldn't want to suit up for the Cheyenne South Bison?
I know I would.
Tomorrow night they play the Laramie Plainsmen (1-1). Again, how cool is that?
Last year Laramie was up 49-0 at the half.
Is there not a kicker from the varsity soccer squad we can recruit to hit it from 40 plus out?
Nobody defends kicks anymore.
Get a kicker. Get 3 on the board.
Become a run-first, maybe run-only offense.
It couldn't hurt, could it?
Put two of your fastest, largest linemen in the backfield.
Do it.
Let them tote the rock all night long.
All night long.
Every play.
Every single stinkin' play.
You're running it on offense.
Yup.
Don't get cute.
Don't get creative.
Keep pounding.
3-7 yards every play.
Guaranteed.
But they know we're going to run it.
Yeah, and?
Can they stop it?
Call it again.
I-formation.
You will not be shut out.
They, the other team, will get tired.
You're Bison. Act like it.
Keep pounding.
Just keep rotating linemen out of the backfield.
You're 0-125 on offense.
Get a soccer player that can kick forty out.
And get your two biggest beasts in the backfield.
All. Night. Long.
It won't be 49-0 at the half because your offense hardly ever comes off the field with all that running.
This school gets five stars because they haven't won a football game in over fifty attempts, but they still dress out a healthy group.
Play hard. Play to win and don't ever quit.
The Plainsmen may win tomorrow night but make sure they remember how hard they had to play to get it.
The South Cheyenne Fightin' Bison.
Sounds like a bunch of winners to me.
Soon enough, they will be. read more
