On Friday, January 23, I had an appointment at 12 PM for a foot massage at the spa MASSAGE THERAPY…read more When I arrived, you had to enter by ringing a doorbell that was taped to the outside of the building with clear storage tape. Which made me feel very uncomfortable.I proceeded to walk in and the lady said to me you have an appointment I said yes at 12 o'clock for a foot massage. She pointed to the sign and said massage or body massage. I said foot massage. She said $60 for 30 minutes which I felt was a little expensive. I was already feeling a little uneasy in the environment because being a older woman I've had my share of foot and body massage massages. This environment was not a typical massage place. I should've turned around because there was something wrong with the setting of this establishment. She proceeded to tell me I needed to pay $60 before the service was even completed. I responded with I have never paid before I receive the service before and she just proceeded to smirk at me. I(I agree I should've left), but I just felt like I made I didn't wanna break the appointment because with the up and up establishment that would've been very rude to me, but even though I felt very uneasy starting with the doorbell on the front of the building to get in. I gave her $60 in cash. She proceeded to count it, put it in her pocket and told me to go to the room which I have never laid on a bed for a foot massage. Any other foot massage I have ever had was over a foot bowl with warm water and oils to soften your feet. I just keep telling myself this place is not for a foot massage. I should've left!!! I Should've left!!! I walked into the room. There was no pillowcase on the pillow. She threw a hand towel over the top of a pillow. I could not relax. All I could hear was the clock that would tik tok to every squeeze and pull to my feet. There was no essentials aroma smells or soothing music nothing but dead silence with a clock that was ticking. She might of used one or two pumps for the whole foot massage of 30 minutes. She put a blanket on me which I have never experienced for a foot massage. She proceeded to massage my feet by pulling on my toes and pinching my feet and pounding on my calves. I heard the doorbell and then a gentleman walked in and the lady said do you have a appointment? He said no and then he said do you have availability for one hour massage and she said yes go lay down in the room. She never asked him to pay before the service. This place is sketchy stay away. Once she left the room I put my shoes and socks back on I wanted to know what she was using on my foot massage, and it was Sauve body lotion!! I SHOULD HAVE LEFT!! I wanted to ask for my money back, but I was in a situation that I shouldn't be in and this establishment wasn't for a foot massage!!! I didn't trust the environment.!!! It was the worst experience I've ever experienced in my lifetime !! Lessoned learned!!! I will never be back to Spa Massage THERAPY on 27th Street.

I take 100% responsibility for this! I texted to see if there was anything I can do. The person texting has a serious attitude that I was just smiling my way through texting. The gift card was $50 in value. She now will not respond or answer any of my text messages , basically stealing my gift card which was given to me. Super unprofessional. She told me I had one more chance to book but I guess she really needs that $50 . I wouldn't recommend going here unless you want unprofessionalism!

Although not fancy like more expensive massage spas, it's clean with privacy. And the prices are very good. All appointments need to be arranged online, which is actually more convenient than talking to someone on the phone. Gift certificates can be bought online too, but I didn't see that part since I didn't have the right glasses on, so I came in person. Although the place was closed, the owner called me right back and came in just to sell me the gift certificates even though she had canceled all appointments for the day because she injured her thumb. She was there in under 5 minutes, which is faster than I got my coffee served at Collectivo this morning. Many services here that I will probably never get myself, but if you want to give a thoughtful gift that's more useful, specific, and practical than the usual, I would put Rain Massage at the top of your list. I heard that Santa gets his massages here, but I'm Buddhist so what do I know. You can't see the place easily from the parking lot, Google Maps brings you near the hardware store or the dog grooming place. Park in front of either, not in handicapped, unless you really are, and then walk north between the two. It's tucked in back next to a hair stylist. Remember, make you appointment online first.

This was an awesome experience…read more Location She is located on the second floor inside the Wells Fargo Bank building. I found parking in the back of the building and entered on the side, which only takes you into the bank. Sharissa came down to get me so I could enter from the door in the back which is locked to outsiders. The normal way would be to enter through the entrance at the front of the building and taking the stairs up. The office is quite spacious, with about 3 separate massage rooms and an office/waiting area. The massage rooms have blinds, but no curtains, and lets in some natural light. So it's not like most massage parlors with rooms in total darkness and a candle burning. I actually like the bit of natural light. It was a bit bright when I went from face down to face up, for a minute while my eyes adjusted, but not as bad as when they turn on the lights after a massage lol. There was also no candles or oil diffusers or scent thingamagiggies. Personally, I like that. Sometimes you wonder what unclean smells those fragrances are masking, or just don't like a particular scent, but I didn't have to worry about it. Oh, and there is a full body mirror in the room. Definitely a plus after the massage. Massage therapist: Sharissa was great. We started out pretty quietly, but then she got a little chatty, but I was asking her questions. She's very nice and very respectful - I think if I didn't want to talk (I did today) she would totally get the hint and give a quiet massage. I'm a believer in telling them what we like, since massage therapists aren't mind readers. I also like to tell them how much pressure I like. I know I cannot take the level of pressure my hubby likes, as I bruise easy and also don't like that kind of pain. But how is a therapist to know that unless I tell them? So I told Sharissa when the pressure got too strong, in a specific spot. But before I had to tell her at all, she had asked at least on two separate occasions how I liked the pressure, and also eased up when I flinched on a particularly tender spot without me having to say anything. She has her license framed. Not sure what made the other yelper think she wasn't schooled. That's a stretch. During my entire 90 minute session, she was professional and got all my kinks and knots sorted out as well as the therapists at my chiropractor's. Anyway, I went ahead and purchased 3 more massages as they were on a special through September (2022). I guess that says it all, huh? Oh, and by the way, I appreciate all the little things: -being offered bottled water after the massage -an actual credit card reader that's not connected to her phone and works fast -a full body mirror in the rooms -not getting cheaped out of 5-10 minutes from the massage. In fact, we began late because I arrived late (because I got lost trying to find her office in the Wells Fargo building), but she worked the whole 90 minutes on me anyway -explaining and trying to figure out different reasons for certain body pains -smile
