The massages were reasonably priced. I was not informed until after my massage that you can add hot stones to any massage at no additional charge. I would definitely go back and try a different massage and I will update my review, so far it's a solid 3.5 stars.

Which left me feeling more and more uncomfortable but I tipped anyway. My last visit I told the massue that I did not want the oil treatment but she gave it to me anyway and demanded a tip after increasing the price of the massage by a third. I did not like being treated like that and will not longer patron their business. I work just as hard to earn my money as they do, when I spend it I want to feel value. A tip is a gesture of gratitude for great service. I admit that I may only feel this way, so, I left three stars. However, I did not feel comfortable being pressured and the price being changed Everytime I visited.

$80... need I say more?…read more The fact that I didn't walk out when they said that was a mistake on my end. Anyway, one hour massage, let the time start ticking. The masseuse was a nice lady. She ran through a normal massage, nothing to write home about. As someone who gets massages on a regular basis, I know a great massage from an average. This was very average. At the end of the massage, the lady stayed in the room while I got dressed. It was very uncomfortable. Social cues? None there... She even directly asked me if I was going to tip (while I was still putting my clothes on). That was weird and poor customer service. She watched me pull out my wallet, and as I went through my bills, she had the nerve to complain that I only tipped her $10. She said "only $10, what about that $20?". Excuse me? Who are you talking to...? I should have never tipped her. The fact that she did not give me any privacy, and then had the audacity to ask for MORE money after delivering a sub-par massage... ridiculous. Did I forget to mention that it was even a full hour, too? I laid down at 5:30 and she stopped at 6:20... if I am paying $80 for an hour, I would like an hour. This is not rocket science, in fact, it's actually a relatively logical system to follow. I would not recommend going here. Unprofessional and not a great massage.

A seasoned veteran of therapeutic massage, I am not easily impressed. However, today I was. The therapist I was assigned (Dao is her name) did a very good job. She was personable, questioning me about the process all along. She altered her pressure on request, as she learned how much I could take. Her overall technique was very good, and I very much liked the combination of traditional massage techniques tied with Thai stretching/range of motion work. I wasn't impressed by their 'music', however. The first time I've ever heard 'elevator' massage music. There were actually lyrics ! Not good....didn't ruin it, it was just odd. Certainly, I'll be back,,,,

I've driven by this place probably thousands of times since they open 3 years ago. It's on my way in to and from work. I take Southfield road pretty much every day. It caught my eye when it first opened up as I'm a huge fan of thai massage and still remember some of my best massages that I received were all in Thailand. I realize the cost of an hour massage here is about three times more than I would've paid in Thailand though. It's was so dark in the lobby, I thought that Thai herbal massage was closed even though I had an appointment tonight. Someone did come out and to the desk and told me that my therapist would be coming out. She did a minute or so later. No paperwork here. This woman took me to a room, it's much bigger than I would have thought. She asked if I knew what I needed to do and I said yes. I confirmed that she wanted me face down and she said yes. She told me there's a hook on the back of the door for my jacket. She exited and I got ready for my massage. Ka, my massage therapist came and knocked on my room to ask if I was ready. I told her I was. She came in right at the start of my appointment time, nice. Ka put a hot cloth on feet, used it to rub and clean my feet, felt good. She later used other hot cloths for my shoulder, upper chest, arms, legs and back area. Partly for a quick cleaning from the oils and to give a last bit of soothing massage. It felt really comforting and warm and calming. Ka's pressure was great, she mixed up her pressure too, from light touches to much deeper massage work. She would use her fingers, legs, knees, heel of her palm, elbows and knuckles. She stretched me out well too. She was barefooted so she could easily and nimbly move around the bed and work around and sometimes kneeling on top of my legs or back. Don't be worried but this is normal for a Thai massage. Also, they do some glute (yes, your bum) work so be sure to let the therapist know any areas you don't want massaged at all, mine is the head. Not cool with anyone touching my head with greasy fingers and let Ka know, she stayed away from my head the whole hour. This is probably one of the best deep tissue massages I've had outside of Thailand, that's sad, but so true. I will definitely be back. This was truly a deep tissue massage and exactly what I wanted. The stretching was great too. I already wanted to have another massage tomorrow. I was thinking how great it would be to get a massage from Ka every week. That would be so great. Just a follow-up, had a great and deep sleep after my massage last night. I was still so well relaxed by bedtime that I feel asleep. I don't usually sleep through the night normally at all.
