Was on the search for the viral mango popsicles. Happy we found them here. This place is loaded with so many great things! Fresh produce, seafood and so much more. Service was cool but they aren't nice, social or kind. It didn't bother me at all because I was in a mission. Prices are affordable and they have a deal on seafood!

We have bought walnuts here, a few pounds actually. 9 pieces out of 10 were not edible - either rotten, or with worms, or with obvious traces of worm contamination.

My first time coming here, and it's so nice that there is a place like this in Charlotte proper! Make sure you bring a quarter, as you'll need it for a shopping cart. A great selection of seafood, including fresh lobster and crab, and everything you might need to prepare any Asian dishes you would like. There is also a restaurant area where you can enjoy some prepared food as well. They even have child seating and high chairs! I'll definitely be back soon.

Asian and Hispanic all in one store. Plenty of fresh and live seafood. Live lobster, crab, frog, tilapia and some crawfish too. There are cook Chinese food too but doesn't look that good. Store is huge and clean for an Asian grocery store. There are not much choices in Charlotte surprisingly so this will have to do.

CLEAN store with wide aisles and a great selection of Asian foods and products! I came in to pick up a few produce items but I'll be back when I have more time to really look around. They have a big variety of fresh seafood. No strong fish smell like some Asian supermarkets I've been to. Plenty of parking and no big potholes to navigate around.

The first time I came here I was in love with this new Asian grocery. On this visit I was a little alarmed with some of the things I noticed. One, they now charge 25 cents to use the carts like Aldi. You do get your quarter when you return the cart. I didn't have a quarter on me and it made it very awkward because I was going to buy more items than my hands could hold. Two, the entrance and store smelled like bleach and seafood. It wasn't a pleasant smell. Not sure if the cleaning supplies used mixed with the seafood dept just didn't work well together that day. However the store was very clean and organized. Overall I like this store and the selection that have. I seem to find items I need and some I don't. I haven't tried their food court yet but I have high hopes. Asian Market 4430 The Plz Charlotte, NC 28215 (Review 526 overall, 70 in 2021)

After hearing about this Asian Market, I had to stop in! I'm all about trying exciting and exotic food items! Well, this market doesn't disappoint! If you're looking for a variety of produce items, meats and seafood (live or frozen) or dry goods, then this is the place for you! There are some markets that have a smell or just seems run down. But this market is probably the best one I've ever been to! I left the store with black chicken, frog legs, duck wings, quail eggs and local Charlotte honey (that was actually the largest quantity I've seen for a steal)! The store is not overly packed each time I've visited and it's very sanitary. There is a touch-less temperature check before entering and masks are required. The staff is friendly and check-out is quick! The store is super clean and there is a variety of SO many things! It's a great market...go check it out and leave with something exotic! LOL!

Overall great store! I can always find what I'm looking for. I mainly go here for my sauces, noodles, mushrooms, fruits and sometimes giant pots. Cashiers are always nice. I took one star off because they had a lot of oyster mushrooms but they was all bad except one pack which has been happening often. They have a restaurant inside for people that want to try that.

I have been to Asian Market several times and each time I find it clean, well lit and the aisles are clear. I mentioned this because there are some Asian markets in Charlotte that are very busy and the aisles can be congested. Asian market has a great selection of many items but in all I find them to be limited in brands and other food items that you'd find at Super G. I do like Asian Market yet it's a far drive from my house and again the selection is limited. However, the customer service and cleanliness is a plus. On this particular trip, I was only able to buy one thing which was disappointing yet I still would recommend Asian Market.

EXCELLENT customer service! Got my yellow watermelon shortly after they followed up.

Super clean store. Very friendly manager/e-commerce staff. I inquired about yellow watermelon to try. They told me they should get some soon and two weeks later they responded to say they're in stock. Such a rare quality! Fair price and lucky find. I shall return. Located in a decent shopping center with ethnic food. Asian Restaurant inside shopping center.

Ok, we have to give this place some credit, the name is misleading, it is an international grocery…read morestore, NOT a farmers market. It even says "international grocery" on the outside. The word Atlantic means, transatlantic...Are we registering? We can't use a pure American mindset on this one. I do have to agree that there is odor in this place, but it is NOT nearly as bad as 99% of ethnic grocery stores!! They look like they do a pretty decent job at organizing their food and try to be clean, I smell bleach when I was there tonight as they are getting ready to close down. After we finished at the checkout counter a woman took a wet towel and wipe down the whole counter before she closed down for the night, seriously this is not bad, I am not sure if Harris Teeter even do this. We just have to be open minded when it comes to ethnic stores. I do have to say, about at least 1/3 of the store is not food, it'd be household goods like toilet paper, soaps and such...which is a tad disappointing because I was really hoping for a larger variety of international produce. It seems like they have a good bit of Asian grocery and Mexican grocery here, I'd say more Mexican than Asian. The price here is pretty low, I bought a peanut butter flavored beef hide bone here for my dog for $1...pssh I'd get one for my dog everyweek at this price. Oh, and this is the only international grocer that I know of that sells pet products, extra points! If you want an awesome international grocery store(Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Mexican, European, Middle Eastern and Indian goods) I'd suggest Super G Mart or Grand Asia. However, this place has a fair amount of products that are cheaper that either of the two places. They can work on getting more variety, but for now I guess this place is a OK by me.

It's a little stinky, and the layout is mixed and odd, but for convenience, price, and sweet…read moreservice, I come here damn near weekly. Most of the produce is of Mexican/Chinese source, so if you aren't a GMO fan, this is the wrong place to shop. However, what you lose in evolutionary purity, you make up for in price: Roma tomatoes, in the middle of winter, for $.49 a pound. And they were almost as good as they were gassed to look. The Mexican groceries are (obv) where this place excels. Quite possibly the most comprehensive collection of dried chiles I've seen in Charlotte. 3-4 brands of pickled jalapeno to choose from. Tortillas of every kind in abundance. Entire fridge case of Mexican/Latino cheese and dairy, in a range of quality and price. One isle is devoted to Asian products and canned goods, and most of your classics are there: Huy Fong sauces, coconut milk, curry pastes, noodles, at the same prices you'd pay at Overseas or International. What's interesting is that their standard grocery section is a bit overpriced: for frozen pizza, snacks, pet food, etc, you'd be better off across the street at Food Lion.

You're prob not gonna like this review if you're a roundeye…read more New Century offers Asian products in a uniquely Asian setting. If you're looking for a Harris teeter or Publix vibe, then stick to that. And if you don't know what you're looking for or just here to browse, then keep it moving. Maybe buy it on Amazon or make an Asian friend that's either first or second generation. The parking lot is very bad. The conditions of the shopping carts are very bad. This I cannot disagree with other reviewers with. I have to dock a star for that. But for the availability of grocery items, this is my go-to. I can't think of another market where I can find a 10lb can of sliced water chestnuts or something most roundeyes don't have a clue of. I'm here 1-2 times per week. If you see me, feel free to ask me questions. Or maybe take trip to an Asian city for a bit of culture so that you can truly appreciate what this store has to offer. There's more to life...

That said, it just can't compare to the selection that the "mega Asian marts" offer like Super G mart. I happened to be cruising down south boulevard and thought, I need me some really good ramen noodles to go with all the mushrooms I just found, I need a thai iced tea in a can and might as well buy some ginger and bean sprouts while I'm at it. So I opened up my trusty Yelp app and this was the closest place to get all those things. They had everything I needed and more. The produce looked healthy and fresh and so did the meat in the back (although a pretty limited selection). Lots of frozen options as well. Just go take a look sometime, you won't be disappointed. That said, if you need a ton of diversity in your Asian market, Super G is probably going to be a better option.
